About: For the past 4 years, I have volunteered at an animal shelter where I worked with both dogs and cats. With dogs, I have experience with all ages, ranging from 5 week old puppies to senior dogs. I have walked and played with dogs who were the most outgoing and loving dogs, as well as the more fearful ones who needed a little extra attention before opening up to me. I have received training in understanding dog behaviors as well as how to interact with more stressed and fearful dogs, leaving me confident to care for all types of dogs. I also volunteered to take some dogs out of the shelter for one night and care for them at my apartment so they can destress out of their kennels, which gave me experience house sitting multiple types of dogs. With cats, often times at the shelter I would play with them in their cages, or I would take them out the cage and hold onto/pet them to help relieve their stress and get them accustomed to humans. At home I also have 2 senior pets I care for, a 12 year old Brittany dog and an 11 year old cat. They’re both incredibly sweet and remind me every day why I love caring for animals. Let me help take care of your furry family members—I’d love to meet them! I work as a teacher full time during the school year, so I have time after 4pm to care for your pets. However, during the summer I don't work full time so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I am free anytime during the week for house sitting, dog walking, or just dropping in to visit your pet. When caring for a pet in a client's home, I will make sure to confirm all household rules that apply to their pet before starting. This includes knowing what furniture the pet can sit on, the diet of the pet, as well as how often the pet should be played with/taken out on walks.

I am available Sunday through Saturday, seven days a week. I am available during the day and evenings. I am really eager to get started. I will adhere to the pet’s specific dietary needs and schedules. I will provide regular walks, playtime, and mental stimulation. I can provide regular brushing, bathing, and checking for mats or pests. I will observe for any signs of illness or distress and ensure medications are administered on time. I will keep hazardous items out of reach and ensure a secure space for the pet. I will offer companionship and attention to prevent loneliness.

“Jessica walked Janie twice a day while we were out of town and Janie was staying with my mother. Jessica took pictures and sent detailed descriptions of how the walk went. My mom tells me Janie was always thrilled to see Jessica, and she always came back tired, happy, and healthy. I couldn’t ask for more.”

“Amanda is such a great dog walker! Not only is she dependable, but she is kind and patient. My dog was skeptical and did not want to walk with Amanda at first. Instead of giving up, Amanda took the time to play and have my dog get comfortable with her. Now my dog gets super excited any time Amanda is here for their walk. She’s really great and such a sweet person!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 15! I lived with a toy poodle named Cookie for 8 years, and a pitbull named King for the past 6 years. Over the years I’ve helped friends and family with their dogs too—walking, feeding, bathing, boarding, and just giving them lots of love and attention. I really enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they’re happy and well cared for. Marcello P.
“I am incredibly fortunate to have Marcello as my dog walker for my large German Shepherd, Drake. From day one, Marcello has been punctual, consistent, and dependable. It’s reassuring to know that I can count on him to take care of my dog with the utmost care and attention. Handling a large dog like Drake can be challenging, but Marcello manages it effortlessly. I always feel confident and safe knowing that Drake is in good hands. Drake absolutely loves him, and I trust my dog’s judgment—his excitement whenever he sees Marcello speaks volumes about the bond they’ve formed. I highly recommend Marcello to anyone looking for a responsible, reliable, and dog-loving walker, especially if you have a large breed. I couldn’t ask for a better person to care for my dog.”
