About: Shelter volunteer experience and half a lifetime of less formally taking care of my own and other people's pets, including high-energy breed dogs, senior cats with special health considerations, and the occasional crawfish. Happy to lend the same loving energy to the fur babies of any family in need! I'm currently focusing primarily on flexible pet care, work from home gigs, and volunteer work with limited hard schedule conflicts other than home cooking for family a couple days each week. Currently living with a good-sized but partially fenced yard, as a result keeping mostly to leashes for any canine friends. There are four amazing cats currently in residence, two are inside, two outside, all with their individual needs tended to daily.

I take my responsibility seriously and will always do my best to provide attentive, responsible care. I currently work out of my home and I’m available at all times so I can watch your fur babies. Your babies will absolutely love being at my house. If my schedule looks booked, please contact me anyway I sometimes can make availability. I do this for my special clients thank you. My house is very secure and cameras all around inside and out. I have a fence and backyard. My fur baby are very friendly in love other fur baby, but if need be, I will kennel my fur babies up until your fur baby feels comfortable or keep mine kennel until your baby is picked up. I can assure you, your dog will feel right at home.

About: I’ve worked in the pet industry for several years now. I am a manager at a doggy daycare/boarding facility/grooming salon. I am knowledgeable about doggy behavior and body language. I can administer medication, with the exception of epidermal/needle syringes. I love being around dogs and getting to know their quirks and personalities. I’d be honored to take care of your pups! I am currently working full time and am available usually betweem 11am and noon on my lunch break. I am usually off of work by 2pm. I am able to host pets at my home as long as they do not have extreme cat aggression. Regardless I will limit interactions between your pet and my cat. When watching your pets at your home, I will make sure to keep my eyes and attention on them, and keep a look out for hazards.

About: I’ve always been a huge animal lover, and some of the greatest loves of my life have had four paws. I had my sweet cat, Henry, for four wonderful years before he passed away, and for the last three years I helped raise and care for an adorable Goldendoodle who now lives with her other pet parent. I don’t currently have a fur baby of my own, so I genuinely love getting the chance to care for other people’s pets. I’ve also spent years pet sitting for friends and family, and I know how much trust it takes to leave someone you love in another person’s care. I’m affectionate, attentive, dependable, and probably the person who will be talking to your pet like we’re old friends within five minutes. Whether they love long walks, playtime, belly rubs, couch cuddles, or just having a calm human nearby, I’m happy to give them all the love and attention they deserve while you’re away. I’m a full-time, stay-at-home writer, so I have plenty of time and flexibility to give your fur baby lots of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I love having a furry companion join me for my morning and evening walks. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my priority. I only board pets from one household at a time, so your fur baby gets plenty of individual attention and a calm, secure environment without unfamiliar pets coming and going. I have a large fenced-in yard for supervised outdoor time, and I’m also walking distance from a beautiful large park that’s perfect for longer walks and exploring. I have a dog crate available for crate-trained pups, and I’m happy to follow your usual feeding, walking, sleeping, and household routines so your pet feels as comfortable and at home as possible while you’re away.

About: I lost my own dog, Maika, a few years ago. She was 14 years old but it was way too early … I’m not ready to get a new dog myself, so Rover has been perfect. I moved to New Orleans a few years ago from Minnesota, where I was also an active member of Rover. My partner, Jonathan, and I bought a house that was built in 1909 — originally as an outdoor market in Holy Cross. It’s now a huge open space attached to a large fenced in yard. Dogs love it!. The dogs hang with me and I usually leave the door open to the back yard, which is basically a mini park with several fruit trrees. The neighborhood itself is also wonderful, there’s a large open field that is fenced in, I a great place for playing fetch or chasing frisbees. The levee is also perfect for long morning or evening walks. I''m a writer and work from home, so having a pup or two around is a real pleasure. I often take the dogs on walks or runs along the levee. But there’s also plenty of space in the house in yard if they just want to chill at home. Usually I work and puddle about doing arts and crafts and doggy's tag behind. The yard has both sunny spots and nice shade… Perfect for the pups.

About: I have been around animals my entire life and absolutely adore them. Friends and family rely on me to take care of their animals while away and I have plenty of experience feeding, walking, bathing, and playing with various types of dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, horses, and birds. Currently I don’t own any pets of my own and I’m missing their company! I currently am working from home on a lenient schedule so I have plenty of time to care for your furry baby in any capacity. I am extremely respectful of personal belongings and routines if you’re in need of in home care for your animal. I love the outdoors so I’m more than willing to come scoop up your dog for a fun day outside!

Generally I care for pets within their home so that their routines and eating schedule stay the same. That way it is less stressful for them when their person is out of town. Like us, they love their familiar surroundings, bedding, neighborhood, etc. I follow the rules of their house and happy to serve them at home. As a former property manager, I am a respectful caretaker of your home while there and can handle things that can come up for you.
