About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

About: I've been caring for dogs for eight years! I started in high school when I regularly looked after my neighbor's three dogs for anywhere from a few days to a couple of months at a time. I quickly learned each dog's individual needs: their walk schedule, bathroom habits, eating preferences, and how to get them to take their meds. They were all different sizes and breeds, and I loved every minute of it. Since then I've expanded my experience through Rover, caring for multiple dogs across a variety of households. When I visit, I'm responsible and thorough. I make sure water bowls are filled, each dog gets real playtime and attention, meals are portioned correctly, and everything is secure before I leave. Honestly, animals are just a huge part of my everyday life. I have my own gray cat named Pluto, who I've had for six years and who is absolutely the light of my life. Between my sisters and my closest friends, I'm around anywhere from two to six cats on any given day, so pets are my life. I would have had a dog too if my parents had let me! I treat every dog I visit like they're my own. There's something so special about bonding with a pet since they're each so unique, and getting to make new furry friends through is an absolute joy. For drop-ins, I cover all the basics: food, water, cleaning up messes, bringing in the mail, making sure everything is locked up tight. But what I care about most is that each pet actually feels loved while their owner is away. I take my time with every visit and give each animal real attention, not just a quick pass-through. When pets are worried, anxious, or want to play, I like to spend a lot of extra time with them so they can feel safe and loved.

I live in a decent sized shop gun with a large fenced in back yard close to a levee and parks for walks I'm an independent esthetician who's studio is only 3 blocks away from home and I work for myself! The his makes accommodations for animals easy peasy! I also have A reliable car so popping in to feed cats/dogs and/or walking dogs multiple times a day is very fesiable I have a small fenced in back yard and live in a safe dog friendly neighborhood I have 2 cats, ones elderly and naps alot the other is young and curious but both tend to stay in their own space away from dogs when we board them! I am an independent esthetician so I set my own schedule making petsitting very easy to fit in as well as working within a 3 block radius of my home! Can put breaks in my day whenever needed! I care for pets in my home as they are my own and work close enough to pop in many times a day making it optimal for any type of pet needs

About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my entire life and they’ve always been at the center of my world. My most recent pup, Effy, was with me for 15 years — she was truly the love of my life. While I’m not quite ready to have a dog of my own again, I couldn’t imagine my life without them, which is why I’m so excited to be here on Rover! Your pet will be loved and cared for like my own. I can’t wait to meet them I work from home Monday–Friday, so your pet will have my full attention throughout the day — no long stretches alone. I am able to work remotely so care during the day is no issue. I live in an apartment in Meraux above my dad’s office, so while there’s no yard, we have plenty of space to get outside for walks. There are stairs, but I’m happy to carry pets up and down as needed.
