“April was amazing! She came through for me last minute on New Year’s Day and took wonderful care of both of my dogs. One of them is a difficult Pomeranian and she handled everything calmly and confidently. I feel completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. I’m grateful for her help and would absolutely book her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I have had dogs of my own since I was 9 years old. I LOVE dogs--especially small ones! I have trained all of my dogs. I board friends' dogs in my home all the time, and am now excited to move into boarding strangers' dogs here on Rover! I work full-time, a mix of in-office and at home. I work from home on Thursdays and have flexibility on Fridays, so it works best for me to be able to provide boarding on long weekends (Thursday-Sunday). I am happy to provide your pet with seamless care and match what they are used to in your home. I have a large yard and a quiet neighborhood. My home has many rooms and I have some gates so that I can separate pets if needed. I also have a puppy play pen for smaller/younger pups who need their own space.
“Emily took great care of my three kitties while I was gone. She was wonderful at communicating and following the instructions I left. The litter area is clean and she watered my plants! I highly recommend her for your pet care. A+++”

About: I am an experienced cat cuddler and cat mom who has strong caregiving skills from routine feedings and litter box scooping to giving elderly cats medications and subcutaneous fluids. I also enjoy simple feedings and light walks with dogs. I am returning to graduate school in the fall, and am looking to supplement my income. I will have quite a bit of flexibility, particularly in mornings and evenings for pet care. I am looking forward to pet care breaks from my studies. In your home, I will remember it is your pet's place. I will respect that. I will offer treats, food, water, change cats litter boxes, play with wand toys, and whatever else your pet enjoys. About: I've been caring for dogs since I was 9 and currently have my own dog. I pet sit for coworkers and friends when they go out of town. I've raised puppies as well as cared for senior dogs. I work from home 3 days a week. I am able to check in on or walk dogs on my lunch break. On weekends I am available, I can check in or walk any time of the day. I have experience with dog and cat behavior, including reactive dogs. When I check in on your pet I will ensure they have enough food and water, play with them, and if requested I will take dogs for a 30 minute or longer walk.

About: I’m the designated dog walker for family and friends because I love going on walks, and dogs love coming with me! I grew up with a dog but only have two cats of my own— so I miss having that four-legged friend to go with me! I’d love to take your dog out for a walk/run, or just let them stretch their legs. Cat owners, I’m happy to give your kitties as much or as little space as they need while making sure they feel the love :) I don’t work Fridays or Saturdays, so I am free to help anytime then! Definitely looking to fill my Fridays up with some time outside, and I’d love to take your dog with me - or check in on your cat! I usually walk my parent’s and brother’s dogs (about 80 lbs each) so I know how to handle bigger dogs on leashes who tend to stray from the sidewalk. I can clean up after them, feed them, and give them all the pets! For my cats at home, I love to play with strings or catnip - and can cater to their personality as need be.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats my whole life whether it be my own pets or other people’s pets. I love cats and dogs and have experience in caring for pets with health problems and pets who are a little bit older. I do well with all different sizes and breeds of cats and dogs. I am an athletic person so taking pets on walks is a great workout for both me and your pet! I work off my own schedule so anytime outside of 10pm-6am I can be there to take care or walk your pet. I am free any day of the week. I will treat your pet as if they were my own. Any instructions will be followed to completely. For walks I know of many parks and for longer walks trails.

I have more than enough space in my home for your furry baby to play, relax, and feel comfortable during their stay. I also have a friendly 1-year-old dog of my own who loves having company and can help your pup feel comfortable, happy, and right at home. About: For 5 years, I’ve cared for a foster cat I adopted, looked after 3 senior cats—including giving medication—and am experienced with home visits to feed and play. I’m looking to spend my days off walking and playing with pets! With an open schedule, I love taking frequent walks around town and would be thrilled to have a furry companion join me for some fun and exercise. I’m available most days of the week and ready to help your pet get moving! While I don’t offer pet sitting in my own home, I’m dedicated to respecting your pet’s routine and following your guidelines to provide the best care possible in your home.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Elm Grove
We had a wonderful experience with our drop-in dog sitter! They were reliable, caring, and attentive to our dog’s needs. They let our dog out, made sure he was fed, and carefully gave his insulin as instructed. We really appreciated the peace of mind knowing he was in such capable and caring hands. Highly recommend!
Alyssa did a wonderful job with my large dogs. To note I have three BIG boys all active herding/wors dog mixed breeds. She was helping with drops in for AM and early PM while I was out of town alongside my parents as they needed assistance with their own schedules. My boys quickly were comfortable with Alyssa (my middle pup has some high stranger anxiety and make me look silly for my concerns) she also did great having to deal with a donut cone for my eldest since he had a skin condition acting up. She was also great at communicating any adjustments/timing I.e a potty accident at her previous drop in had her running a few behind.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
