“I was worried about leaving my 7 year old Great Dane for a week (for the first time ever), but I needn’t have. Melanie kept me up to speed from day one; being honest with me that, on day one, he was sad and worried (I appreciated that!). It didn’t take long before they were cuddled up, cheek to muzzle, and he was fine. In fact, she set the bar so high that I had to set jet lag aside to walk my guy when he otherwise would have taken the “mommy’s tired” excuse! Melanie took advantage of the “little things” that are so big in our dogs’ lives…their likes and dislikes and silly routines and habits, and indulged him in what made him comfortable, happy and secure; whether it was finding donkey documentaries to watch (why does he love donkeys so much?), using his familiar jargon, or being his couchy cuddle partner. Additionally, the Rover organization itself impressed me with its professionalism. They look out for their employees as well as their clients with their safety, privacy and confidentiality in mind. Highly recommended!”

About: I have taken care of every type of animal since I can remember. At home I have horses, cats, dogs, rats, and chickens. My passion is animals and I am the happiest version of myself around them. I have experience with all types of dogs, and also senior animals that need special care and medication. I am a regular volunteer at the animal shelter and believe every animal deserves love and affection. I have also cared for 100s of animals for friends, neighbors, stranger, etc. I am the best choice for your fur babies because I will love them like my own! I am currently a senior in college which means I have a lot of free time. I only have two in-person classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays for no more than 2 hours. This means I am super flexible and available for care! I have a dog and 2 rats here that are very friendly and I also live with 4 other girls that love animals! I have a fenced in yard at my home and an amazing service dog that LOVES other dogs, no matter the size. In my home, pets are family and treated with the most love and respect. I will always put an animals needs first to ensure they are happy and comfortable because I would expect the same for my own baby.

Our dog is very afraid of strangers, and Kaitlynn has helped so much with her training and behavior. About: I've worked in a veterinary clinic and animal hospital and have volunteer experience with PACC and the Humane Society. I feel comfortable around animals and certain I can provide great care! Though I did not grow up with childhood dogs I came to love them through my work. My time at a veterinary clinic and at PACC gave me the chance to connect with dogs and understand how smart, silly, and loyal they can be. I have no dogs of my own but am fond of everyone's! I grew up surrounded by cats and they have a special place in my heart. I have personal experience with elderly cats and giving oral medication. I am currently working part time at a book store. I accept some same-day requests and have a fairly flexible schedule. When I'm not working I live an active and social lifestyle, which pet care fits into well! I appreciate having a doggy friend on a walk and spending time around animals makes any day better. Although I cannot have animals in my own home I can take great care of them and other people's houses. I am safety and security focused and will always lock the door, double check surroundings, and leave everything tidy.
