Pet care experience

Reliable Lover of ALL Pets, Lab Mom

I have a chocolate lab back home that I miss dearly, but while I'm in college I'd love to spend my free time loving and caring for your babies! I’ve been a pet person as long as I can remember. From the day I met my kitten Percy at age nine to the moment I brought home my puppy Lois, animals have been the center of my world. My passion is to now provide your pets with the same level of devotion I give my own. I've spent a great amount of time training my pets and can contribute to maintaining your training process as well. I pride myself on adaptability with each pet and their owners, catering to your pet's age and energy levels. This can vary from long walks with some running, to gentle strolls and a quiet environment. I have experience with my dog being in heat as well as older dogs that need extra care. I can also provide any medications needed for mouth, ears, or paws with treats and calmly talking to the baby. Lastly, I have experience with reactive dogs, this includes hyper awareness of our surroundings on walks and creating distance for comfort, also always carrying treats with me for positive reinforcement and a reward after walks.

Charlotte was a great sitter for my elderly dog. She really loves animals and was so kind to my dog Betty. She housesat for me and always communicated well and my home and Betty were in perfect shape when we got home. She was able to troubleshoot when Betty had potty accidents in the home and made sure to send lots of photos. Would book again and recommend.

Charlotte has a gift for animals. She’s very attentive, dialed into different animals temperaments, reliable and also very fun. Charlotte is the kind of person to go to a party and hang out with the dog or cat in the house…all night. If you’re looking for someone who will LOVE your animal (not just check a box by walking them), she’s exactly who you're looking for.

Schedule

While I don't have a car, I'm conveniently located near a reliable shuttle to the UofA campus where I spend most of my time for classes! For non-boarding services, I ONLY accept bookings within walking distance of my home or near the UofA area. My light daily routine—usually just a class or work shift—gives me plenty of flexibility to give your pet constant attention, regular check-ins, and lots of quality cuddle time so they feel right at home with me.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a gated community with a large amount of pets living on the property, there's a community yard area that wraps around the buildings with many spots for dogs to do their business. I'll also be walking them around the gated neighborhood if they need longer walks. I also have a back porch leading to the yard area where I can sit with your pet to relax and spend time outside. Your pet will always be supervised if outside since we have no fence.

Pets

A typical day

I adapt to each animal, if they are very snuggly, they'll be getting all the hugs and love they can get; if they're a little shy and get overwhelmed with too much affection then I'll talk to them throughout the day and give treats while playing with toys they like. My routine always includes keeping water fresh, serving meals exactly on time, and making sure they have mental enrichment, like opening the blinds so they can enjoy the sun and watch the world go by. Whether they need a snuggle buddy or a quiet companion, I’m there to make sure them feel safe and loved. You can also expect regular photo and video updates throughout the day. I typically send these every couple hours, but I’m happy to adjust the amount to whatever makes you feel most comfortable while you're away!

I love getting to know each pet's unique personality! Please share any must-knows before our first walk; whether they have a favorite treat, specific commands they follow, any triggers like bikes, people, other dogs, and lastly any medical needs of course. Being prepared helps me give them the same devotion I give my own pets. And if you leave anything out I'll probably end up asking :) I like to make sure the dog/cat is as comfortable as they can be!
