Hi, I'm Kat. A USAF Veteran, prior LMT, creative and dog walker/sitter living in Tucson I have extensive experience taking care of homes and pets, including horses, chickens and rabbits. I have cared for all ages/sizes, various breeds and personalities. I have medication dispensing experience both oral and intravenous. Holiday rates and puppy care rates apply. I have a strong passion for animals, nature and wildlife. Whether you need someone to drop in for 30/45 minutes to visit & exercise your pup while you're at work, or you’re going away on vacation & need a house/pet sitter or prefer to board at my place- I am available on short notice, I'm reliable, communicative, flexible and put in a lot of care with everything I do. Kat was the ideal sitter for us, and we feel lucky we found her. Her calm peaceful demeanor was such a blessing for our anxious rescue, Dash. He quickly warmed up to her, which almost never happens, and she even let Dash sleep with her. She handled his medications as needed and communicated with us throughout the stay, sending many charming photos. She was so patient and responsive with my many instructions! Kat even left our home sparkly clean. We just hope she is available any time we need a sitter in the future!

Schedule
I currently work from home about 8 hours of the day as a call center customer support representative. Right now, boarding fits my schedule best but can accommodate for in- home care.

Safety, trust & environment
I like to model the routines and habits your pet keeps at home - feeding and potty times stay the same, frequent walks, allowed on furniture or not depending on your rules at home - you can count on lots of 1 on 1 attention for your pup when they are in my care - pets, snacks, and company. When boarding or in your home, your animals will hardly be left alone unless I have prior appointments during your scheduled visit. If that's the case the animals are never alone for longer than 4-6 hours and I make sure they are pottied and fed beforehand. I also provided additional house care services like collecting mail, taking out trash and recycling, dog poop removal, and I like to keep the house cleaner than when I arrive before I leave.
A typical day
I see drop-in care like a mini play date for your pup/cat and overnight care provides more extensive 1-1 care where your pet is hardly left alone. Depending on your pets needs, we make sure your dog is exercised and goes potty each day, keeping company, providing meals if requested, treats & belly rubs. Drop in care and overnight in-home sitting is usually provided in the home and in your backyard. If walks are requested, we do a 30 minute walk around the pet’s neighborhood. Pets are never taken off their home premises for care unless in case of a medical emergency or requested by client.
