Poor Sarah lol! One obstacle after another and she handled it like a trooper. She even went above and beyond and picked up medication from our vet and started Sunny on it. She sent me pictures all the time and she was great at communicating on how Sunny was doing. I really didn’t worry about Sunny being in her care. Sunny really liked Sarah! About: I grew up with dogs, from my mom's 3 lb Pomeranian who learned I would share my snacks as a toddler, all the way up to a pack of 6 when I was in high school. I raised several from puppies, so I know all about puppy mischief. (And who can resist that goofy puppy run or those big puppy paws?) I've also dealt with undesirable behaviors, such as jumping or food/resource guarding. I don't mind taking care of dogs who are still displaying these behaviors, just please make me aware when booking. I am not promising training, but I know how to keep myself and the dog safe. I've taken care of senior dogs who have slowed down and need a little more attention or accommodation. While I've never had a pittie (or adjacent breed) before, the ones I've met have been the sweetest. I firmly believe in judging the dog, not the breed. I am currently in the process of a career change, so I can easily slip away to walk a dog, or drop in and play for a bit. I can also easily complete my other work from your home with wi-fi access if I'm house sitting. I love all kinds of animals. Most of my experience is with dogs and cats. I love getting to pet/give ear scritchies to any dog or cat who will let me, and this gives me a chance to do that more often. I don't plan on doing pet boarding/day care at my own home. I currently rent, and have two cats who are unfamiliar with dogs, so it isn't possible at this time. I am very careful when it comes to someone else's animal. I make sure to keep an eye on body language, and avoid putting them in an uncomfortable situation. If there is ever a concern (medical or otherwise), then I will bring it to the owner's attention. I am also mindful of doors, especially if the pet is a known escape artist. I've had a few of my own in my lifetime. Also, I will always make sure the home is secure when leaving. I will always love your pet as if they are my own because pets are family.

Our lab, Luna, is extremely high energy and requires lots of love and attention, and Klarysa did so much to make sure that she was stimulated and attended to! We were able to really enjoy ourselves while we were out of town knowing that our home and pets were in such great care. “My wife and I found Sarah on Rover because we were planning a destination wedding with all of our friends and family. All the people we usually ask to watch our dog, our cat, or take care of our house would be joining us for 10 days in another country. Understandably, we were apprehensive about entrusting all that to a person we did not know. When we connected with Sarah, a few months before, we chatted and discussed organizing a meet and greet and then having Sarah do some regular dog walks in the weeks leading up to the event. At every step of the way, Sarah was prompt, communicative, friendly, honest, and above all, incredibly caring and loving to our animals. Before we left, Sarah checked in once more with a detailed review of all the logistics we had discussed for the stay. Sarah arrived as planned and spent 10 days taking the best care of our dog Mia, our cat Tar, and looking after our entire house. She stayed at the house overnight, took Mia for walks each day, played with Mia in the yard, and spent some quality comfort time in the house with both Mia and Tar. She updated us daily with pictures of the animals as well as information about the day’s activities and how the animals were doing. We were always fully comfortable that our house and animals were in the best of hands. We will continue to hire Sarah in the future for house sitting and pet care needs and give her the highest recommendation.”
