Mikayla stayed with our active Jack Russell for 2 weeks while we were away. I never worried about our pup, knowing that she was being taken care of and played with. Mikayla shared updates and pictures, and answered promptly when I checked in with her. I recommend her without hesitation, we have never been so at ease while away.

Lee Ann was wonderful! She stayed with our two dogs and cat who had never been left alone before. I was more anxious than anyone ha ha! Everyone did great! Lee Ann’s communication and photos were exactly what I needed. My pups are rescued and adding extra stress bringing them on our trip or boarding them just isn’t what they need. I am so pleased to have found someone who we can trust with our animals and in our home! Will absolutely book again! Made our weekend so much more enjoyable. Thank you!!

I had a last-minute adjustment to my vacation schedule and needed a sitter and found Shayna. She was super flexible and accommodating, and came to meet my dogs and learn their routine the same day! Shayna provided excellent care for my dogs who are anxious and can sometimes be difficult to care for. I would absolutely use her again for overnight services or walking anytime that we are traveling and she is available! Thank you for taking such good care of my girls💙🐶

We can’t say enough good things about the amazing care Julian provided for our three dogs—Sadie, Cleo, and Benji—while we were away. Each of them has their own personality (and quirks!), and Julian handled them all with incredible patience, warmth, and attention to detail. He also fed and looked over or eight chickens. Julian kept us updated with daily messages and photos, which gave us total peace of mind. When we came home, all three dogs were happy, healthy, and clearly well-loved. The house was also in perfect shape, which was a wonderful bonus. We’re so thankful to have found someone we can completely trust with our fur family. Julian how truly went above and beyond, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-notch pet care!

About: When I was 8-14 years old I used to take care of my neighbors pets while they were away and gave them their insulin. I also had/have animals of my own to take care of therefore I have had experience with caring for animals my whole life. I currently work but will be willing to fit around a schedule that works so your furry family is well taken care of and in the best hands. I have plenty of yard as well as 2 dog parks and also 2 dogs; therefore your furry friend will have plenty of other dogs to play with and to run around.

Lilian was fantastic with Dexter and Nova during our booking. Dexter, our energetic little pup, and Nova, our sweet cat, were both calm, happy, and clearly well cared for when we got home. Lilian kept everything smooth and stress‑free, giving them plenty of attention and making sure their routines stayed on track. It’s such a relief knowing they were in kind, capable hands. We’d definitely book with her again!

Angel was the perfect pet sitter and companion for our beloved Luna. We were in a very difficult situation when the place where we were going to board Luna cancelled on us last minute and we were leaving for vacation in 6 days. I looked on rover for a few days and didn’t think we would ever find someone to help us and then I found Angel. She was exactly that, an ANGEL. She was compassionate, caring and all about giving our pup the love she needed. Luna is a bully breed and constantly seeks attention. Angel met her needs and went above and beyond without being asked to do so. She was in constant contact with us while we were away, sending us photos and updates about Luna. She stayed in our home and cared for Luna in her own surroundings which turned out to be the best thing we have ever done. Luna was so happy, she didn’t have the anxiety she would normally have after coming home from being boarded. We have already spoken to Angel about booking her for the beginning of August. I highly recommend her to anyone that needs a professional person who is compassionate and committed to providing the same level of care you would. She will alleviate your worries, she is heaven sent.

We couldn't be happier with Stacie's services. She stayed with our dog Bailey while we were away on a 4 day camping trip. She checked-in with us multiple times a day with pictures and notes about how he was doing. When we got home it was evident that he was happy and had a great time with her, and the house was spotless. We could not even tell that anyone was in our house while we were gone.

Wren is phenomenal. He went above and beyond providing care for our dog while we were gone on a family vacation. My dog is visibly sad that Wren is no longer hanging out with him since our return. Wren comes with our highest recommendations- if you are looking for a dependable, experienced and kind hearted care giver for your pet, he is your guy.

Arthur had a great time with John during the week we were gone. I got updates with photos at least twice a day, and John responded quickly if I ever had any questions or comments. Our house was in great shape when we returned, and Arthur was happy. I would highly recommend John to others looking for a pet sitter, and will be looking to use him again in the future.

Lea was amazing, she knew I was going to a concert and might not get back exactly on time. She arrived 10 minutes earlier than scheduled to help me out and stayed half an hour later due to traffic. She took great care of Maisie and followed all my instructions. Maisie was fast asleep when I got home in usual crate per the instructions. She did great!! You can definitely tell Lea is experienced and takes great care of the pets she sits.

This was our first time having someone board in our home with our pup, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, Klarysa did a fabulous job taking care of our dog and treated our home with incredible respect. We received frequent updates and plenty of photos, which completely eased our anxiety and allowed us to actually relax while we were away. It was so reassuring to see how happy and well cared for our pup was the entire time. We came home to a spotless house—honestly, it was in pristine condition. We’re so grateful for the care, communication, and professionalism, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommend!

This was my first time booking someone with Rover. Matt was amazing. It was a last minute booking. Matt took the time to meet us a day before I went on vacation and was extremely professional. I asked if he could stay over my house so that my dog is more comfortable and he had no problem with that. I was nervous about leaving my dog with someone but Matt made it extremely comfortable for me. He sent updates and pictures every single day. I thought I would be stressing out on vacation but with how Matt handled everything, I didn’t even have to worry much. If I could rate this higher I would. Definitely booking with Matt again

FAQs for House Sitting - Nashua

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Nashua on Rover is $48.15 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 2,252 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Nashua. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Nashua walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Nashua maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Nashua choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Nashua. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
