“Philip was very communicative, made sure to send pictures throughout the entire stay & gave us peace of mind while on vacation. Our dogs loved him! He handled 3 dogs at once like a true pro & couldn’t recommend him more. Pretty sure he left our house cleaner than we left it.”

“So happy to have found Hannah! We have a very large irish wolfhound mix rescue dog who is very anxious. Hannah did a meet and great before our initial booking and she was terrific with him. Was very patient and calm and just let him drive the meeting. While we were away, she was very communicative and provided lots of pictures which made us feel very comfortable that he was being well cared for. She did all that was asked and even had to handle meds for our pup. With her experience and comfort level I won’t hesitate calling on Hannah again to take care of our Charlie.”

“Tom was wonderful! Our dog is usually really nervous around strangers and we’re pretty used to coming home to a skinnier version of her but she seemed to really enjoy being around him. Would definitely ask him to look after them again.”

About: Hi! I’m Mary Evelyn! I am a full-time preschool teacher with summers off. I love to care for other people‘s pets and put families at ease while they enjoy their summer. I grew up in a house full of pets. We had two dogs, a cat, two ferrets, two parakeets, and a rabbit. Unfortunately, my husband is allergic and we can’t have a pet full-time in our house. To fill that void, I spend my summers loving on your fur babies! My children, 10 and 12, are also animal lovers and often are with me caring for the animals. I am a loving and gentle nurturer. I treat your pets just like my own. This is not just a job for me. This is a choice to keep animals in my life because I know the joy they bring. I love to provide owners with pictures and updates, as many as you want and need. I’m also happy to take care of anything at the house that needs tending – mail, plants, cleaning, etc. I look forward to connecting with you! I have full availability over the summer and I am willing to accommodate any kind of schedule. During the fall and winter, my availability is limited to evenings and weekends. My preference is to care for your pet in your home. My kids (12 and 10) sometimes accompany me, as they also love to care for animals and are learning how to be productive and responsible. If you prefer I solely care for your animals, that is completely fine. I always defer to the client and their pet's needs. If I'm providing boarding in my home, the animal will be restricted to our first floor. I do not have a fenced in yard, so I would provide frequent walks throughout the day.
“Nikki was fabulous with our pup Basil! Basil was able to thrive during their several days together, and as an over 15 year young dog with senior care needs, this was especially important to our confidence in being able to leave him with someone. Not only was Nikki attentive to Basils needs and the details of his daily care routine which included his daily medications as well as his daily playtime and romps outdoors, but was also incredibly supportive of him the first night when he was experiencing separation anxiety from us. Nikki kept things running like a well oiled machine and was very proactive. When our refrigerator decided to break down while we were away, she alerted us of the situation and proactively moved an entire refrigerator of items over to our second refrigerator in the garage. It has been several months since we have been able to travel and we now feel comfortable having Nikki on board. We highly recommended her for pet sitting services! Just say yes!”

“Emily helped us out with a last-minute booking and she was great!! Emily communicated well, took great care of our pets, and is very friendly. She sent lots of pictures and updates. Thanks, Emily!”

“Adorable was awesome and so flexible with our changing schedules! She was so nice and sent multiple photos and updates throughout the night on how our dog was doing! Definitely reccomend! ☺️”

“Julia was awesome! Julia stayed at our house for 2 nights while taking care of our 135 lb. Bullmastiff, Louie. Julia also took care of our many plants. Louie was relaxed and well cared for and our house was left spotless. Julia asked questions about the plants and Louie and also offered to wash the bed sheets before leaving. We received daily photos which gave us peace of mind. We highly recommend Julia!”

“Jennifer was great - she came to our home for 3 nights that we were going to be out of town to take care of our 10 lb. chihuahua mix. The house was left spotless and our dog seemed like she had a really great time while we were away (which isn't always the case). We'll definitely be booking again for our in-home pet sitting needs.”

I am a student and researcher who makes his own schedule, so I am available at all odd hours of the day to pop in. I always make sure to have a clear play area for my pup where nothing can hurt him. This will carry over in to how I take care of your pup in your home.

But I am ready for any situation needed
“Nicole B. was wonderful with my cockpoo, Gracie! She was in frequent contact and sent many photos. Gracie wants to snuggle all the time, and she got constant snuggling with Nicole. She slept over for several nights and you wouldn't even know she had visited, everything was so tidy when I returned. When Nicole came back to drop off my keys, Gracie was so happy to see her. I would highly recommend Nicole!”

“Catherine was an incredible help with our dog and our sassy cat! She kept us updated with frequent messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear she cared for both our pets and our home as if they were her own. Highly recommend!”

“First time using Avery and she was wonderful! She arrived at the agreed upon time, communicated well and sent daily pictures of Ranger and Daisy. She followed instructions for feeding and engaged well with our dogs for play. When we returned our dogs were happy and had obviously been well cared for. Avery stayed at our house since our dogs do best in their own home. She left the house spotless. We will definitely book with Avery again.”

Hannah took great care of our two dogs this past weekend! She sent a bunch of photos to reassure us everything was fine and made sure to give them lots of love and attention the whole time. Would recommend Hannah to anyone looking for a house/dog sitter while out of town!

We loved working with Alana! She was very communicative throughout the sitting and sent plenty of pictures of our dog. Our dog Louie warmed up to Alana right away which speaks volumes about her presence. We look forward to working with Alana again in the future!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dracut walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dracut maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dracut choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dracut. On Rover:

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
