“If I could give Tom 100 stars, I would. He truly went above and beyond in caring for our dogs. From the moment we left, we received continuous updates and photos which gave me complete peace of mind. He didn't just cover the basics, he showered them with so much genuine love, care, and attention. The real proof was in our dogs' behavior they were actually sad when he left! It is so rare to find someone who connects with your babies like this. I cannot recommend him highly enough.”

“Catherine was an incredible help with our dog and our sassy cat! She kept us updated with frequent messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear she cared for both our pets and our home as if they were her own. Highly recommend!”

“Amanda was fantastic to work with and at taking care of our dogs. Our dogs are pretty simple and some sitters can take advantage of that ease, but she still went above and beyond.”

“So thrilled we found Barbara!!!! We were able to relax on our vacation knowing our dog was in good hands. Barbara checked in every day and gave us a little update on JJ and totally gave us permission to not worry about anything. Loved that she treated him like her own while we were gone.”

“Joleen was absolutely wonderful when it came to watching our dog Gnome overnight. He deals with separation anxiety so she spent the full two days with him to make sure he was as comfortable as possible. Joleen provided regular updates and was very punctual. We hope to use Joleen in the future!”

“We had Beatriz house sit for us and take care of our two cats. This was the first time we had someone stay in our house, and Beatriz was wonderful! She was very professional and communicative. I know our cats were happy to have the company while and it felt much easier to leave knowing she would be there with them and also keeping an eye on things while we were away. She cleaned up after herself and was very respectful of our home. I would definitely recommend Beatriz for house and or cat sitting, and would have her back!”

“Nicole took such great care of all three of our furry men and our home! She provided prompt communication, pictures, and went the extra mile like brining in our trash cans, etc. at the house. Thank you Nicole!”

“Monika was amazing. Very attentive to our golden Murphy. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Very easy great communication and enjoyable to work with. I will definitely use her again. 5 stars!!”

About: I have taken care of animals as a sitter and as a shelter volunteer for over a decade. I have looked after cats, dogs, guinea pigs, turtles, bearded dragons, and more! I absolutely love animals and have experience with all ages and behaviors :) I am currently on break after graduating from Brandeis University! This summer, I am working part-time and taking classes on and off, so I have lots of flexibility when it comes to helping out with your furry friends! I am happy to follow any set schedules you have for your furry friends and to do everything that I can to make them feel at home while you are away :)
“Guillermo saved us last minute when we needed him to house sit our dog. He was so sweet and caring with him and administered his insulin. He was so knowledgeable and took on his two shots of insulin for his diabetes and his meals and walked him. He’s amazing!!”

“Jocelyn was great with our two dogs Lexi and Ruby while we had a weekend away. Great communication and she sent photos and video. We’d definitely have her stay with our dogs again in the future!”

“I highly recommend Kam for pet sitting. My very anxious dog was taken care of so well. She kept in touch with me throughout my trip and sent pictures. I will definitely use her again and refer her to family and friends. I could not be happier.”

“I can't say enough good things about Sydney! She was incredibly professional, communicative, responsible and caring while looking after our two dogs and our home. Sydney sent daily updates about their adventures, stuck to their feeding and medicine schedules, asked questions when unsure of something, and was extremely tidy-- our house didn't even look like someone had stayed over. We, and the dogs, look forward to having her back soon!”

About: I’ve been caring for my own cat for over 10 years and have also pet sat for my neighbors’ pets, including a blind cat and a senior cat. These experiences have taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to adapt to different needs and personalities. I’m a true animal lover and enjoy spending time with both cats and dogs. Whether it’s going on walks, playtime, or providing calm companionship, I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I understand that every pet is different, so I’m happy to follow specific routines, feeding schedules, and any special instructions. I will be here all of Summer 2026! Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine because I have a dog and a cat! I’m used to planning my day around feeding schedules, playtime, and giving pets attention and care. I have a flexible schedule, so I can accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and extended stays while making sure each pet gets the time and consistency they need. I treat every pet like my own. In a client’s home, I stick closely to their routine so pets feel comfortable and secure, whether that’s feeding, walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. I also make sure everything stays clean and organized. In a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining the pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, and any special care instructions. I’m very attentive to behavior and make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I also provide regular updates and photos.
About: I have had dogs since I was a child. Throughout the years I have owned Shepards, Rottweilers and most recently Boxers. They have been a part of our family since before I can remember but after losing our last Boxer “babies” and with the kids now in college, I have decided to pour my love for dogs into taking care of yours. It was always stressful leaving our dogs so let me take some of that stress away from you. I promise to stay in contact, send pictures and give them a home away from home. I work 3 minutes from home with a typical workday being 8-4 with an hour lunch. Although I will say this is pretty flexible. However, my husband works from home so there is always someone home. I am happy to come to your home to take your dog for a walk or to let him/her out in your yard. I can also feed him/her and give any needed medications. Or in my home, they will be treated like our own. We do allow pets on the furniture if that is what they are used to and accept dogs that are not crate trained.
About: I’ve taken care of my neighbor’s cats since I was young, I’ve dog sat for friends, family, and friends of the family. I’ve taken care of 4 rambunctious dogs at once so I can handle the commotion. I am back in school so I can take care of pets whenever I’m not in class. Though I will need time to study and do homework outside of class I still will have plenty of time to take care of your pets. I do whatever the owner wants me to do to take care of their pets. I normally walk them once a day, feed them, let them out a couple times, and give them plenty of attention.
Ballardvale pet parents share their Rover experiences
Monika was wonderful. She had to take care of two dogs who do not get along with each other, a visiting dog and the dog in residence. She did a great job of caring for each dog and taking each of them for a walk. She kept the peace and all was well when we got home.
I can't say enough good things about Sydney! We, and the dogs, look forward to having her back soon!
