“Jo is extremely communicative towards the pawrents and loving toward the pups. We definitely appreciate all the photos of our pup and the reports at the end of the day. I would 100% their services as their space is lovely and the care is exceptional!”

“Cheryl has a great setup and is a dog lover and incredible resource! We had a meet and greet prior to the day I dropped off my 4 month old puppy and I felt at ease leaving her there (her first daycare experience which could’ve been nerve wracking but I knew she’d be in great hands). My pup was tired from playing and learning from the other dogs there and slept so well after! I will be using Cheryl’s services again in the future!”

“Great experience—very communicative and kept me updated with photos. It was clear my dog had an amazing time playing with her dogs, because he came home happily tired. I will book again!”

“Lucille is fantastic! She is very caring and kind. She is so easy work with and very accommodating. She took very good care of Kona and sent me pictures and updates through the stay. I am looking forward to having Kona stay with Lucille again soon! It’s such a relief to have someone so trustworthy and reliable to care for my beloved dog at times when I cannot.”

“Sergio goes above and beyond with the care for your pets. We have two not so little rascals and they had so much fun while at day care with Sergio. He even taught me a few things about handling two leash pullers.”

About: Animals have been a part of my life since I was a child—I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs, cats, and other pets, and I truly see them as family. I have two cats, Bleu and Theodore who are my absolute world, and I treat every pet I care for with the same love, patience, and attention as I give my own. What sets me apart from other sitters is my natural connection with animals and my commitment to creating a safe, calm, and happy environment tailored to each pet’s personality and needs. I have experience with a wide range of animals, including high-energy puppies, shy or anxious pets, and senior dogs and cats who need extra TLC. I’m reliable, intuitive, and attentive to small details—whether it’s sticking to a feeding schedule, recognizing signs of stress, or making sure your pet gets their favorite toy before bedtime. I go the extra mile to make sure your pet feels comfortable, secure, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, cuddles, or quiet companionship, I’m here to make your pet feel at home even when they’re not! Right now, pet care is my top priority—I’m not working another job, so I have full availability to dedicate to your pets. This means I’m flexible with scheduling, whether you need early morning walks, midday check-ins, overnight stays, or last-minute bookings. Because I’m not juggling other commitments, I can give your pet the time, attention, and consistency they deserve. I’m here to make your life easier and your pet’s day happier—every single time! When caring for pets in your home, I stick closely to your routines to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for just like you’re there. I keep things tidy, follow any feeding or medication schedules, and provide plenty of attention, playtime, and love. If your pet is staying at my home, I ask that you bring their crate, leash, food, and anything else that helps them feel secure and settled (like their favorite toy or blanket). I’ll make sure they have a cozy, clean space, regular walks, and lots of affection throughout their stay. Whether we’re out for a walk or having a quiet day inside, I treat every pet like my own—with patience, love, and care tailored to their personality and needs.
About: As a proud dog owner myself, I bring genuine love and energy to every pet I care for. I understand how important your fur baby is to you, and I treat every dog like my own — with patience, attention, and lots of playtime. Your pup is in great hands! I work part-time, so I have plenty of time and flexibility throughout the day to give your pup the attention they deserve. I’m available midday and afternoons, making me a great fit for dogs who need midday check-ins or walks. I live in a cozy 1-bedroom apartment with my own friendly, socialized dog — so your pup will always have a playmate! I keep a safe, pet-proofed space and treat every dog like family.

About: I’ve been taking care of cats and dogs since I was 16 and my love and connection and knowledge has only grown stronger for animals I am also BILINGUAL for any Spanish speakers 🌸💕 He cuidado de gatos y perros desde que tenía 16 años, y mi amor, mi conexión y mis conocimientos sobre los animales no han hecho más que fortalecerse. “Lucy had a great afternoon hanging out with Julie and her dog Maggie. Her fenced in yard provided a safe place for the dogs to play and Julie made sure Lucy was comfortable and well cared for during her stay.”

“I had gone to about 3 other trainers before I got to Donnie and I wish I had gone to him first. My dog primo was a sweet but wild pup that I could barely handle when I first brought him to Donnie. In a matter of weeks he helped me turn my dog into a well behaved companion that I can now take anywhere I please and he gets better everyday. I definitely would recommend him to anyone who needs pet sitting or training he goes beyond your expectations to help you and your dog.”

About: I bring genuine care and patience to every dog I work with. I’ve personally cared for a Husky for the past 4 years, so I understand the importance of exercise, attention, consistency, and handling high-energy dogs with confidence. Huskies require a lot of patience and structure, which has helped me become very attentive to dogs’ needs and behaviors. I also have experience walking other dogs of different sizes and personalities, so I’m comfortable adapting to each dog’s energy level and routine. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just wants someone calm and comforting around, I make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I’m reliable, communicative, and detail-oriented, and I always treat every pet like they’re my own. I can help reinforce basic training, maintain routines, provide regular exercise, and make sure pets get plenty of attention and affection while you’re away. I’m especially good with energetic breeds, shy dogs that need patience, and dogs who thrive on companionship and consistency. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind knowing their dog is in caring and dependable hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel comfortable, active, and cared for. I make time each day for walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and giving pets attention so they feel safe and relaxed while in my care. I have a Fenced in yard, so sometimes I will let them run around the back yard, play fetch. And after a few minutes take them on a quick walk. I update Dog parents with Videos and photos so they get updates on there dogs well being and i will always ask for specific diets dogs may have so there routine doesn't change when they're in my care!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
