I work full time four days a week as a house coordinator at a women’s halfway house in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. My position is very flexible, which allows me plenty of time throughout the day to care for your fur babies. I also have full availability on my days off, which are Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s needs!

I live in an apartment complex and typically prefer to provide pet sitting in my client’s home to keep pets comfortable in their own environment. I have, however, pet sat in my home before. I share my space with three cats and a small chihuahua who get along well with other animals, and I have plenty of room to safely care for your pet’s needs. I always follow care instructions closely and prioritize a calm, clean, and safe environment.

It’s also helpful to know about triggers, fears, separation anxiety, or behavioral quirks. I’m comfortable with all breeds and sizes, but I especially appreciate knowing your pet’s energy level and temperament ahead of time so I can tailor our time together to their personality and comfort level!
A typical day
A typical day with me is full of love, structure, and fun! We’ll start with a morning potty break and some light exercise to get those tails wagging. Throughout the day, I like to mix physical activity with mental stimulation—whether that’s walks around the neighborhood, trips to a nearby park, playing fetch or tug-of-war. I always make time for cuddles, calm breaks, and positive reinforcement to make your pet feel safe and happy while you’re away.

Hi! I’m an experienced and dependable pet sitter and dog walker with a lifelong love for animals. I’ve worked with animals since I was 16, including 7 years as a veterinary technician assistant in an animal hospital and experience in doggy daycares. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats, administering medications, and handling pets of all sizes and energy levels. Avery was such an incredible pet-sitter. She stayed in my home with my senior cat and older dog for a week, and she updated me daily with tons of photos so I knew they were happy. She really went above and beyond with both of my pets, and on top of that my house was sparkling clean when I got home (with freshly cleaned sheets!!!). I was so nervous about having anyone stay in my home for such a long period of time, but Avery made this trip so much less stressful and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again in the future.
First time using Avery and she was wonderful! She arrived at the agreed upon time, communicated well and sent daily pictures of Ranger and Daisy. She followed instructions for feeding and engaged well with our dogs for play. When we returned our dogs were happy and had obviously been well cared for. Avery stayed at our house since our dogs do best in their own home. She left the house spotless. We will definitely book with Avery again.
