8. Stephanie P.
About: I grew up with dogs, from my mom's 3 lb Pomeranian who learned I would share my snacks as a toddler, all the way up to a pack of 6 when I was in high school. I raised several from puppies, so I know all about puppy mischief. (And who can resist that goofy puppy run or those big puppy paws?) I've also dealt with undesirable behaviors, such as jumping or food/resource guarding. I don't mind taking care of dogs who are still displaying these behaviors, just please make me aware when booking. I am not promising training, but I know how to keep myself and the dog safe. I've taken care of senior dogs who have slowed down and need a little more attention or accommodation. While I've never had a pittie (or adjacent breed) before, the ones I've met have been the sweetest. I firmly believe in judging the dog, not the breed. I am currently in the process of a career change, so I can easily slip away to walk a dog, or drop in and play for a bit. I can also easily complete my other work from your home with wi-fi access if I'm house sitting. I love all kinds of animals. Most of my experience is with dogs and cats. I love getting to pet/give ear scritchies to any dog or cat who will let me, and this gives me a chance to do that more often. I don't plan on doing pet boarding/day care at my own home. I currently rent, and have two cats who are unfamiliar with dogs, so it isn't possible at this time. I am very careful when it comes to someone else's animal. I make sure to keep an eye on body language, and avoid putting them in an uncomfortable situation. If there is ever a concern (medical or otherwise), then I will bring it to the owner's attention. I am also mindful of doors, especially if the pet is a known escape artist. I've had a few of my own in my lifetime. Also, I will always make sure the home is secure when leaving. I will always love your pet as if they are my own because pets are family.
9. Callie B.
“I was so nervous after my normal dog sitter moved away. I tried Rover after a suggestion from a friend. I found Callie. Callie is the absolute best! Above a five star! She took such good care of my house and my two huskies! I have an older husky and she went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable. She took my younger more energetic husky on walks, played outside with her and made sure she got all the exercise she needed! Callie I can’t say enough about how grateful I am to you and Gemma! I would highly recommend her and will book her again for sure!”
10. Theo S.
“Theo & Julian we're fantastic with our pup. They sent tons of photos and updates and were quick to respond to messages. Our little man was a happy little camper when we returned and the house was immaculate. Very professional, highly recommend. Thanks Theo & Julian!!”
11. Ashley S.
“Ashley took her job very seriously and probably gave them better care then I usually do! She met the dogs before hand and was confident and kind in her interactions with them. She was dependable and stayed in contact with me. I will hire her again!”
12. Keirsten M.
“Keirstein did a wonderful job taking care of our senior dog and our home. She communicated well and sent lovely photos to reassure us that Dixie was being well cared for. We look forward to booking her for our future travels.”
13. Marissa S.
“Marissa is an animal lover with a very big heart whether it's helping take care of her 5 cats or dogsitting for others, she connects so well with animals and is willing to go the extra mile to tend to their wants and needs. She has given our family's pets such great care and would absolutely recommend her as a caregiver.”
14. Delilah & Vincent W.
“We are so very happy with the professional , personal care that Delilah and Vinnie lovingly gave our pup. Our little guy has a number of special health and anxiety problems. Delilah and Vinnie didn’t bat an eye at all his special requirements. Gave him his medications and snuggles several times a day! Kept us informed with pictures, texts and cute commentary. We are delighted they are our little guys care givers and will definitely be repeat customers! Thank you both so much!”
15. Lixanne H.
“Lixanne was a pleasure to work with. She was on time and asked the right questions. Our dog had so much fun with her. We look forward to the next time we have a need because we trust Lixanne with our dogs needs.”
16. TJ R.
“If there was a way for me to make this review an ad on the front page of Rover, I would. TJ was exceptionally communicative, considerate, and thought to ask questions that we hadn’t thought of to make sure our girls were well cared for. He is one of the rare sitters that provides photos from Day One until the last day. We got regular updates so we knew our pups were doing well. We were only gone four days, but I could swear they were in better shape when we got back from the regular exercise he gave them. Next time we need a sitter, we are 1000% checking to see if TJ is available first!”
17. Emily B.
“Emily is a wonderful pet caregiver! My pup, Lui adores her! Emily has always been very attentive and loving towards Lui. There is no better testimonial than the excitement and affection Lui displays whenever he sees her. Lui truly loves Emily!”
18. Alexis B.
“Wow!! I haven’t found someone so caring about my dogs like I do. I have two American bullies and they can be pretty pushy. She communicates, she’s super caring, always on time and very trustworthy. My two boys love when she comes and I swear they look forward to her coming when I have her walk them! There’s never an issue when it’s last minute and she works around my crazy schedule. I highly suggest Alexis!!”
19. Alex D.
“Alex was great! She was very flexible, kind and kept our pup happy while we were away.”
20. Zachary K.
“Zachary was very responsive and was flexible working with me to nail down a schedule that worked for both our availability. I so appreciated his help watching Winnie when my flight was significantly delayed - he was happy to come back and I was so grateful that she was cared for when I couldn’t get home on time. He cleaned up before leaving and was very respectful of our home. I would definitely recommend Zachary to take care of your dog. Winnie seemed very happy with the care he provided. Thanks!”
