“Arianna is an excellent cat sitter she spends time with our babies and takes the cutest pictures of them. She even leaves us physical copies which is adorable. Highly recommend!”

“Julian took fantastic care of our cat, Clementine, while we were away. We were a little anxious about leaving our cat overnight for the first time, but Julian met up with me ahead of time to meet Clementine, go over care instructions, and address any concerns I had. The daily updates and photos were detailed and thoughtful and truly put my mind at ease. Julian even did an extra drop-in on very short notice due to our flight back being delayed - truly above and beyond service! I would highly recommend Julian and would absolutely book again in the future.”

“Indigo was great with the cats! They warmed up to Indigo quickly and seemed comfortable. Indigo was communicated well, asked great questions, and took excellent care of our pets.”

“Alyssa did an excellent job. My Sheltie, who has never allowed anyone outside our family to leash her, trusted Alyssa to do it! She gave detailed updates and went above and beyond. My cat also loved her!”

“Mary was super responsive and took excellent care of Monty on her drop in visits. He was a little anxious and she allayed his fears admirably. The pictures we so adorable. Thank you, Mary!”

“Alexa went above and beyond with our old girl. She is also the first sitter our dog has not barked at through every single visit. She was apparently comfortable enough to eat while we away! She gave Belle a lot of extra attention so our senior girl would not feel abandoned while we were on vacation. There were a lot of incredible pictures and even some cute videos. We will be highly recommending Alexa and if we go away again, she’s now her first choice. We really appreciate her taking time on this holiday weekend to take care of our girl.”

About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. From growing up with dogs, to working with them, they've always been there. I'm a formally trained groomer who has worked in various places around New England. My specially was working with puppies and dogs with anxiety. Both of those need extra patience and time to keep them safe, comfortable, and to make it the best experience possible. I've also worked for a doggy daycare, have done at home walks, and have a number of years experience with housesitting dogs of all ages. I'm a stay at home mom with two young kids, one in school, one will be going in the fall. We spend plenty of time in our yard, getting fresh air and sun. I have a large yard, unfenced, and a good sized home with plenty of space. There are stairs in the front to get upstairs, but no stairs by the backdoor, making it easy for dogs with mobility issues to come inside.
“Michaela was super great to work with! She very considerately took time to do a meet and greet with my kitties so we could all feel comfy. The day of our booking she very kindly messaged me to confirm feeding instructions (I did a bad job— good learning experience for me!) and took lots of photos. I’ll definitely book with her again! 😊 Thanks, Michaela, you made this nervous first-timer feel so much more at ease!”

“Robert did a splendid job with our dog Rebel. We left him with instructions for food and medicine, and he carried them out faithfully. Robert was respectful, on-time, and thorough. We have already booked him again later this month!”

“Sarah-Jane could not be a better pet sitter! Our cat, Louis, absolutely adores her, as do we. She is thorough, attentive, and communicative. She has a clear love for animals and it shines through in her work. She goes above and beyond to take care of our special guy and to keep us updated every step of the way. We have booked with her many times and will continue to do so whenever possible - we cannot recommend her highly enough!”

About: I grew up always having at least one dog in my home, I now have two. I was tasked with feeding, walking, and playing with them. Often times when neighbors and friends would go out of town I would look after their pets, staying at their house when needed. I have a pretty flexible schedule during the week, I am booked from 11am to 1pm most of the week and from 11am to 4pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays. On the weekends I often go away, but I can likely be available if requested. When caring for someone’s pet I always make sure to follow the instructions given. This can rang from their diet, to their bathroom / walking schedule, to whatever else they may need.
“We've used Sarah multiple times for drop in visits for our 2 frenchies. She came recommended by a friend so we scheduled a meet and greet. It was instantly apparent that she loves dogs and was really knowledgeable on the french bulldog breed. Our dogs gave her their seal of approval with multiple kisses at the first meeting. Sarah is reliable and professional. She would message us letting us know how the pups were doing and always sent adorable photos. We will continually use Sarah and highly recommend her anyone who wants to be confident that their pets are being taken care with love.”

“Amy was very thorough with her details about the visit. Followed my directions on what I am working on with the puppy. And she was very professional when I met her during our meet and greet.”

About: Hi there! My name is Ayslinn, pronounced “eyes-linn”, but you can also call me River. Growing up in a home where my mom was a dog groomer, I was always surrounded by dogs and learned from a young age how to care for them with love and patience. Over the years, I’ve helped friends train their dogs, including a lively husky, and I’ve worked with many different breeds, from tiny lap dogs to big, high-energy pups. I also have experience caring for puppies and nervous dogs, providing gentle patience to help them feel safe and comfortable. My focus is always on making sure every pet gets the exercise, attention, and affection they deserve. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a shy companion, or an energetic dog who loves long walks, I treat every pet like family. I work full-time Monday through Thursday from 5:30am to 3:30pm, so my primary availability is on weekends. Throughout October I won’t be available after 5:00pm as I’ll be working weekend nights. I’m open for walks, and pet sitting throughout the weekend during the day and can occasionally do evenings after 4:30pm on weekdays if needed. Just let me know what you need, and I’ll do my best to accommodate. I can’t host dogs in my apartment, but I provide safe, reliable care in your home so your pup feels comfortable in their own space. I follow your routines closely, whether that’s feeding, walking, or crate training, and I’m experienced with many breeds, puppies, and nervous dogs. I’m also comfortable with special instructions like giving medications or sticking to unique schedules, and I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pelham
We had a great experience! Jessica was very communicative and kept us updated throughout the visit, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. She did an excellent job managing all three of our dogs—including our senior dog, who is very grumpy and selective about people. She took them all for a walk, made sure they had fresh water, and as requested, gave them a snack before she left. It was clear she was patient, attentive, and comfortable handling different personalities. We would absolutely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
