About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for the last 7-8 years for my family, friends, and neighbors. They have trusted me with walking, feeding, and overall loving their furry friends! When my family first got our dog in 2020, I assisted in training him and learning how to take care of a puppy. I have also helped to take care of my roommates pet dog and cat in these last few months as well! During the summer of 2024, my dog suddenly went paralyzed and lost function of his back legs. We had to learn how to take care of him and walk him using unconventional ways, while teaching him how to learn to walk again, so I have experience with a dog who has been partially disabled (but he has regained his ability to walk and is doing great!!) I recently graduated from Miami University, Ohio with my masters degree in speech-language pathology. I just moved back to Illinois and am looking to do some dog walking and pet care/love this summer before starting a new job in the schools this upcoming August as a speech-language pathologist. I will adhere to any requests that the client has. I am willing to put them in their crates, give them treats, play with them in the yard, or go for a nice long walk with them. It really comes down to the clients preference and I will stick to their normal routine!!
“Madeline was great with my cats! Her communication was great, she did everything I had asked, and provided photos of them during her visit. Highly recommend!!”

About: I have taken care of animals for it seems like my whole life. I have experience administering medication both orally and through syringes and love to spoil dogs when walks and cuddles. I work for a school district so I my school day runs from 7:30-2:30, so no pet would be alone for long. I can do weekdays and weekends. I have experience going into someone’s home and watching their animals from there. I find it’s easier for on them when they are in their own home environment. I follow your routine and instructions and will let you know if I have any questions or anything comes up.
“Alyssa was wonderful! Communicated promptly when we were setting up the meet and greet, and I could tell she was a good fit for us when she came over and our cat was immediately at ease with her. Loved her daily updates! She exceeds expectations, and we came home to a happy cat ?”

About: I’ve grown up taking care of both cats and dogs, including small and large breeds. I currently have a chocolate lab who I walk, feed, and play with every day. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and cats, and I understand the extra patience, attention, and care they may need. I love cats and am comfortable feeding them, changing litter, playing with them, and giving them lots of attention. I’m reliable, caring, and truly enjoy being around animals! I’m home from college until August 10th. I’m available all day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 AM–3PM for dog walking, pet sitting, and drop-in visits for both cats and dogs! I’m also available on weekends and am flexible with timing. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine to make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and safe. I’m always mindful, respectful, and responsible when caring for pets in someone else’s home. I make sure to keep a clean and safe environment, follow instructions carefully, and handle everything with care. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pets and home, and I’ll always do my best to make both you and your pets feel comfortable and secure.
“Rachael is so sweet and so good with my shy boy! She made sure to spend time and play with his favorite toys and went above and beyond!! So grateful my boy got to spend time with her while I was gone!”

“Jessica was amazing! She had to deal with an our dog who was a bit nervous with a nervous stomach. She dealt with a couple of accident clean ups and didn’t complain a bit! We were away for 5 days for our daughter’s wedding and felt so at ease that our puppy was well taken care of! Will definitely be using Jessica again!!”

“Miranda was fantastic. She stopped to meet Zelda before the scheduled walks. She kept me updated and everything went perfectly. Zelda feels comfortable with her already and they get along great. Highly recommended!”

About: Hi, fellow dog mom here. I am here to keep our little fluffy friends safe while duty and life calls. I know the importance of thier safety as well as their comfort and happiness. I currently work part time and have availability to sit on my days off, evenings and overnight. I currently have a supper friendly dog of my own who loves other dogs and caring for her has made my care routine second nature. If your pet knows commands I have an open back yard that that they can play, a lot of room in my home for comfort and a park across the street which is great for walks and potty breaks. I set a schedule for play time and nap time or I can follow their regular preferred schedule.
About: I have 19 years of experience volunteering with dogs and cats at three different area rescues. I currently volunteer at Project Hope Animal Rescue Foundation in Gilberts. I also worked for a petsitting service in Elgin for 5.5years, so I have experience with many different types of dogs. I currently have two mixed breed dogs of my own and a cat that are all very happy and healthy! One of my dogs is reactive when on leash around other dogs, so I understand the patience that comes along with that behavior. In 2006, I acquired a dog training certification from Animal Behavior College. I am currently unemployed, so I am available most days and time. I am available for walks or drop-ins for feedings, playtime, cuddle time, etc. It is important for me to know about your pet's personality and routine. What commands does your pet know. Is there any ongoing training that you would like me to reinforce? I love going for walks, so if your pet would enjoy a walk, I would be happy to do that.
About: I’ve taken care of different kinds of dogs since I was 10 years old. I trained both of the dogs I was gifted (Labrador/Boxer mix & Pitbull) as well as grooming them. They both mean very much to me and now that they are older and I no longer live in my old house it would be my pleasure to give care to someone else’s pet! I’m currently working part time so the vast majority of the week I’m available and own my own reliable source of transportation. Extremely flexible with my schedule and times. Very good at playing with dogs and other types of animals as well. Will do anything your dog likes and make sure they enjoy having me around!
“Audrey went above and beyond for my three babies while I was away this weekend. She is so sweet and gentle with my animals and followed all instructions perfectly. Took great pictures and spent extra time with them if she was able to. Super flexible hours and days as well. I’ll hire her any time I need a sitter in the future. Thanks so much, Aubrey!”

“Samantha was great for taking care of Shelley while we went on a 4 day trip. She’s very knowledgeable on how to deal with our fur baby. We are gladly to recommend her to our friends in our neighborhood. She’s also on time to her schedule drop in visits. Thanks so much for an excellent job.”

“Perfect 10 !!! Danielle went out of her way for me. 100 % satisfaction! Received my report every walk and a picture of my dog. This was my first time leaving my dog without family, was nervous, but she put me at ease. Thank you again!! I highly recommend Danielle.”

About: I am a stay at home mom with 2 boys. I have plenty of personal experience with dogs and cats. I finished classes and got my certification for veterinary tech and finished my internship at a veterinary hospital in Massachusetts. I was offered a job as the surgical assistant but life decisions brought me back to Illinois. Would love to help families out and put their minds at ease knowing their fur babies are in good hands. I have one dog who loves other dogs but does not trust humans completely. He can be high energy and loves to play but if that’s not your dogs thing he is also ok with sleeping ALL day. I have experience with high anxiety dogs and elderly dogs as well. I grew up owning cats and have plenty of experience handling them and making sure they are happy. I understand a lot of cats have anxiety with strangers and I will take my time introducing myself to your feline and making sure they are comfortable with me. Please feel free to reach out and ask questions. Because I am a stay at home mom my schedule is very flexible.
“Alisa has been amazing looking after my cat when I was gone. She handled herself very well when my cat wouldn't cooperate with taking his medication. I would definitely use her again!”

Jessica did an amazing job being a first time sitter for my 2 cats one of which is very shy. She sent photos and updates each day after drop in visits which made me feel so at ease while on vacation. She went above and beyond caring for my house, bringing in the mail and watering 2 flower pots. I will absolutely hire Jessica again! I wish I could give her more than 5 stars! She treated my pets as her own.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
