“Madeline was both thoughtful and knowledgeable when it came to taking care of my three cats. Her check-ins were detailed and she sent adorable pictures everyday.”

“Katy is absolutely fantastic and so in tune to what our dogs need. We have a malamute and even 70 degree weather can be too much for a walk. Katy recognized this without me telling her and caters to his needs. She also checks on the dogs randomly when she isn’t even watching them. I feel very confident in her abilities and that our dogs are in good hands!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for the last 7-8 years for my family, friends, and neighbors. They have trusted me with walking, feeding, and overall loving their furry friends! When my family first got our dog in 2020, I assisted in training him and learning how to take care of a puppy. I have also helped to take care of my roommates pet dog and cat in these last few months as well! During the summer of 2024, my dog suddenly went paralyzed and lost function of his back legs. We had to learn how to take care of him and walk him using unconventional ways, while teaching him how to learn to walk again, so I have experience with a dog who has been partially disabled (but he has regained his ability to walk and is doing great!!) I recently graduated from Miami University, Ohio with my masters degree in speech-language pathology. I just moved back to Illinois and am looking to do some dog walking and pet care/love this summer before starting a new job in the schools this upcoming August as a speech-language pathologist. I will adhere to any requests that the client has. I am willing to put them in their crates, give them treats, play with them in the yard, or go for a nice long walk with them. It really comes down to the clients preference and I will stick to their normal routine!!
“Doreen was fantastic! She took care of our 3 cats for 2 weeks while we were away on our summer vacation. We really appreciated her open communication, punctuality, and professionalism. She provided notes and photos on how things were going with each visit which I looked forward to every day.”

“Morgan did an awesome job taking care of my 4 cats. She dropped in every day in the scheduled timeframe and ensured the cats were fed, their boxes cleaned and spent time with them. She even cleaned when one of the kitties threw up.”

“Jessica & Luis saved us when our original sitter fell through last minute. They were a joy to work with. Communicative, friendly, and our pups loved them. We will definitely be calling them again!”

“Scott took amazing care of my girl who needs extra help getting around. He was very attentive and sent detailed updates along with photos after each drop-in. My dog had a lot of fun with Scott and she seemed very comfortable and relaxed around him. Highly recommend him!”

About: I have had a long love for animals, growing up with cats and dogs. As an adult we had a beloved German Shepherd mix that was our ring bearer. And we were blessed to have him for 11 years. Now I'm a proud dog mom to 1 terrier mix. I've taken care of dogs, cats and other animals since I was in Middle School for neighbors and friends. I love going on walks and playing fetch. I work part-time at a school so right now I'm off during the summer but during the school year I would be able to work around my schedule and have several days off during the school week to pop in before and after or on my days off. I would love to pop into your house for visiting. I will follow your dogs normal routine. Please let me know how to help your animal feels most comfortable.
“Rachael did an amazing job taking care of our babies! We loved the photo and video updates at each session! We would definitely rebook and recommend anyone else to book with Rachael! Thanks!!”

About: About us: I stumbled onto Rover in August 2022 after trying to think of ways to make a little extra money while working at home, full-time, and with 3 kids (approaching middle and high school) that have wanted a dog since probably before they were born. I grew up with dogs and wanted a dog too! But I also didn’t want the vet visits, food expenses…what do we do with a dog when we want to travel? Fast forward to now and dog-sitting has been a truly epic, awesome experience for all of us. By the time you read this it’s likely we will have reached triple digits of dogs that have stayed here. My kids get to learn about ALL different kinds of dogs which has turned them into lifelong dog lovers. I get the companionship I’m looking for while having a flexible hybrid work schedule. And when you choose us your dog becomes part of our pack, and given the very best care 24/7. I am fully aware that your dog is a member of your family and I truly appreciate your trust in selecting us to care for them. I believe strongly in supporting and giving back to the community, so in addition to fostering dogs we also give a portion of my Rover income back to the local animal shelter. Win-win! What it’s like here: We have a huge fenced-in yard with a horse farm behind us so lots of interesting sights, sounds and smells for your doggie to experience. Many like to hang out on the deck and watch the horses behind our home. Your dog will come home relaxed and happy. Many repeat clients tell me their dogs get excited as soon as they turn onto our street for the next visit because they have happy memories of their last stay. We can hang out with your pooch for doggie day care, overnight, weekend visits, short-term (1-2 weeks), and long-term stays (>2 weeks). We will follow your instructions to a T. Is your dog allowed on your couch? Sure, us too! Does your dog sleep with you? Okay, we can do that! No crate? Sounds great! We want them to enjoy themselves as much as we enjoy having them here. They are truly our guest. It's amazing how quickly the dogs adapt and become part of the family. I’ve cared for dogs that require oral and injected medication, senior dogs, dogs with anxiety, and dogs with diapers. YOUR dog is most welcome. I love figuring out what makes them feel safe and comfortable. Did you know? When searching for a sitter check if the review is flagged "verified stay". Anyone can write a review so only the ones that are flagged this way are legitimate Rover stays!
About: I have taken care of animals for it seems like my whole life. I have experience administering medication both orally and through syringes and love to spoil dogs when walks and cuddles. I work for a school district so I my school day runs from 7:30-2:30, so no pet would be alone for long. I can do weekdays and weekends. I have experience going into someone’s home and watching their animals from there. I find it’s easier for on them when they are in their own home environment. I follow your routine and instructions and will let you know if I have any questions or anything comes up.

“Stephanie is wonderful! She is very flexible. I needed her an extra day and she had no problem helping me out. She loves my little Luigi already and I'm sure he loves her because he behaves so well with her. So I'm told! I felt very comfortable when I met her. She brought her son with and Luigi took to both of them right away. My dog told me everything I needed to know about her right then and there. Thank you Stephanie and Rover. I feel at ease when I am away from home having Stephanie taking care if my boy! ❤”
About: I’ve been a dog sitter since I was young. I’ve also cat sat for several family members before. I love working with cats, dogs, and any other creatures! I have a lot of experience administering almost any kind of medication, from administering fluids to oral meds to transdermal meds. No ask is too much for me! I work Monday-Friday eight to four. So I will work around that. I am also free all weekends. I will even do house stays if needed. I will treat your house as my own. I will leave it the way that you left it. I will also do anything that makes you feel more comfortable with me being in your house

“Erika was super, she even went above and beyond and brushed my dog for me. Very thorough with what she did for me, which I appreciate as a first time user! Thank You Erika :)”

“Zach did a fantastic job! I booked him to clean out for very dirty litter boxes and replace them with fresh letter. I was very impressed with his ability to get right to the work at hand, get the job done, and leave everything looking great. He was so fast, he had time to tackle one of two of the cats water fountains, which were also overdue for cleaning and refilling. My kitties will love that their favorite fountain is working again. Next time, he’ll tackle the other fountain and I have no doubt that that will be done efficiently as well. Thank you, Zach! Nice to meet you, and you’ll be number one on my call”
“Audrey was fantastic with our cats, Ben and Chloe! Her professionalism and communication were top-notch. We were impressed by her dedication and care, which made our time away worry-free. Highly recommend Audrey!”

About: I love animals. I used to have three Shar Peis, which can be fairly temperamental, but I think I was their favorite walker. I've walked dogs with Wag for years and have cared for dogs ranging from tiny pups to large Anatolian Shepherds. I work from home most days, so having a dog or two in the house is not an issue. And, i don't mind sitting at other folks' homes, if the dogs are more comfortable in their own environment. I've recently fenced our backyard with a 6 foot privacy fence, so that visiting dogs will be secure during off-leash play. I live in a quiet neighborhood and there is a large park down the street, so walks can be quite lengthy, if the dog is up for it. I have a few chickens in a coop / run in the backyard. The app asks about my pets but then when I said ‘yes’ only allowed me to pick either ‘dog’ or ‘cat’ - and I couldn’t list birds so I couldn’t update it. 😕. Apparently Rover thinks there are only two kinds of animals??? Visits to the backyard are always supervised to keep everyone safe.

As of July 2026, there are 2,715 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Wildwood Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wildwood Valley. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
