About: 🐾***new to Rover, extremely experienced in pet care***🐾 I have been in the pet care and training industry since 2015. I completed a 3 month seminar at Bergin University of Canine Studies in California. I run my pet sitting and dog walking services and recently joined Rover to get more gigs. I care for the pets in the owner's home. Feeding, playing, and lots of love are included in my visits!🐾 I take care of animals daily. I do pet sitting on my own, and have for years since 2015. I worked in kennels, boarding facilities, doggie daycares, and training facilities. I care for my own dogs, birds, and rats daily. Animals are my life! Your pet's safety and happiness are my upmost priority. I strive to make every animal's life better. I like to get detailed instructions so I can make your pet as comfortable as possible.
“Jessica and Luis were amazing with our 2 Australian Shepherds! They did numerous drops in while we were on vacation and handled walking, play time, snuggles and meal times. We were given a detailed pet intake form to fill out so they could learn about our dogs and their routines and any house rules. They were very friendly and handled all our requests. We were happy our dogs got to stay home and keep up with their routine and Jessica and Luis sent us lots of photos and videos throughout the day. They gave us peace of mind and we would absolutely use them again.”

“Stephanie was great! We have two crazy dogs with a lot of energy so it was great that Stephanie was so flexible with her schedule so the dogs weren't cooped up in the house all day. She fed them and let them run around in the yard. I will definitely have her come by again in the future!”

“Katy took great care of my two cats! She gave great updates, fun photos, and was quick to respond when booking. I will definitely book with her next time I go out of town!”

“Jennifer has been amazing - whether she’s walking my pooch or playing with her in the backyard, I feel completely relaxed knowing that Jennifer will be there to give my fur baby the time and attention she needs!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was born. My first dog was a 100 pound German Shepard mix, then we got a miniature border collie mix, then a hound, and now we have a one year old german shepard belgian malinois. I have helped train and take care of all of our family dogs and we take our dogs on at least 2 walks a day! I can take care of any type of dog and I will of course love every animal I take care of. I have no problem picking up poop on walks! I would love to help you take care of your Dogs! I am currently a college student at Judson University studying Architecture. I would be able to take care of your pet before 7:45am and I am available during lunch time. I am also volleyball player and practices are normally from 4-6 so I would be able to go over after that. MWF I have class from 1-5 so I wouldn’t be able to go in that time frame and my volleyball games are normally Tuesday and Thursday nights which I could go over after those. I have a fenced in yard at my house but I also have energetic dogs so I take them on walks every day twice a day. They both love to play fetch and obviously they love to go on their daily walks. I can do anything from just letting them out and throwing the ball for them to walking around the block or even a mile. I am flexible with what kind of service your pet may need!
About: Hi! My name is Allison, and I'm a passionate animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I've worked at a dog boarding and daycare facility for the past four years, where I've gained extensive experience handling groups of dogs, recognizing behavior cues, and providing safe, attentive care in a fast-paced environment. I'm also an approved veterinary assistant, which has given me additional training in animal health and wellness. I'm experienced in administering both oral and topical medications and know how to monitor pets for signs of illness or discomfort. Your pet's safety, health, and happiness will always be my top priority. In addition to working with animals, I'm a full-time college student and college cheerleader, so I'm responsible, dependable, and great at managing my time. I'm looking to earn some extra income doing what I truly love—caring for pets and giving them the same love and attention they receive at home. Whether your pet needs walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or overnight care, you can count on me to provide personalized, compassionate care. I'll treat your pet like family and keep you updated with photos and messages throughout every visit so you can relax knowing they're in caring, experienced hands. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family members! While I will have a busy schedule, I will always make it a priority to make sure your pet is well taken care of while you’re away! This includes sticking to their schedule to the best of my ability, making sure they get all their energy out before bed time, or anything else they need!
“Rachael is an excellent pet sitter! She was always very punctual and thorough with her pet care (2 cats and a dog). She was careful to follow my written instructions to keep their schedules as close to normal as possible. Her daily logs about her visits were detailed and fun to read! And lots of cute pictures! She is very sweet and kind and I would not hesitate to ask for her help again!”

About: About us: I stumbled onto Rover in August 2022 after trying to think of ways to make a little extra money while working at home, full-time, and with 3 kids (approaching middle and high school) that have wanted a dog since probably before they were born. I grew up with dogs and wanted a dog too! But I also didn’t want the vet visits, food expenses…what do we do with a dog when we want to travel? Fast forward to now and dog-sitting has been a truly epic, awesome experience for all of us. By the time you read this it’s likely we will have reached triple digits of dogs that have stayed here. My kids get to learn about ALL different kinds of dogs which has turned them into lifelong dog lovers. I get the companionship I’m looking for while having a flexible hybrid work schedule. And when you choose us your dog becomes part of our pack, and given the very best care 24/7. I am fully aware that your dog is a member of your family and I truly appreciate your trust in selecting us to care for them. I believe strongly in supporting and giving back to the community, so in addition to fostering dogs we also give a portion of my Rover income back to the local animal shelter. Win-win! What it’s like here: We have a huge fenced-in yard with a horse farm behind us so lots of interesting sights, sounds and smells for your doggie to experience. Many like to hang out on the deck and watch the horses behind our home. Your dog will come home relaxed and happy. Many repeat clients tell me their dogs get excited as soon as they turn onto our street for the next visit because they have happy memories of their last stay. We can hang out with your pooch for doggie day care, overnight, weekend visits, short-term (1-2 weeks), and long-term stays (>2 weeks). We will follow your instructions to a T. Is your dog allowed on your couch? Sure, us too! Does your dog sleep with you? Okay, we can do that! No crate? Sounds great! We want them to enjoy themselves as much as we enjoy having them here. They are truly our guest. It's amazing how quickly the dogs adapt and become part of the family. I’ve cared for dogs that require oral and injected medication, senior dogs, dogs with anxiety, and dogs with diapers. YOUR dog is most welcome. I love figuring out what makes them feel safe and comfortable. Did you know? When searching for a sitter check if the review is flagged "verified stay". Anyone can write a review so only the ones that are flagged this way are legitimate Rover stays!
“Kaileigh was so great to my pups! I was happy to find someone that lived near me. She treated my pups as her own. She kept in contact with me and sent my photo updates, I loved that! I would highly recommend her to watch your furbabies.”

About: I love animals. I used to have three Shar Peis, which can be fairly temperamental, but I think I was their favorite walker. I've walked dogs with Wag for years and have cared for dogs ranging from tiny pups to large Anatolian Shepherds. I work from home most days, so having a dog or two in the house is not an issue. And, i don't mind sitting at other folks' homes, if the dogs are more comfortable in their own environment. I've recently fenced our backyard with a 6 foot privacy fence, so that visiting dogs will be secure during off-leash play. I live in a quiet neighborhood and there is a large park down the street, so walks can be quite lengthy, if the dog is up for it. I have a few chickens in a coop / run in the backyard. The app asks about my pets but then when I said ‘yes’ only allowed me to pick either ‘dog’ or ‘cat’ - and I couldn’t list birds so I couldn’t update it. 😕. Apparently Rover thinks there are only two kinds of animals??? Visits to the backyard are always supervised to keep everyone safe.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
