I work from home and care of my own dog Captain while doing so. Fitting a dog into the daily routine comes naturally to me! Safety is number one always! I always lean into the side of caution. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for the last 7-8 years for my family, friends, and neighbors. They have trusted me with walking, feeding, and overall loving their furry friends! When my family first got our dog in 2020, I assisted in training him and learning how to take care of a puppy. I have also helped to take care of my roommates pet dog and cat in these last few months as well! During the summer of 2024, my dog suddenly went paralyzed and lost function of his back legs. We had to learn how to take care of him and walk him using unconventional ways, while teaching him how to learn to walk again, so I have experience with a dog who has been partially disabled (but he has regained his ability to walk and is doing great!!) I recently graduated from Miami University, Ohio with my masters degree in speech-language pathology. I just moved back to Illinois and am looking to do some dog walking and pet care/love this summer before starting a new job in the schools this upcoming August as a speech-language pathologist. I will adhere to any requests that the client has. I am willing to put them in their crates, give them treats, play with them in the yard, or go for a nice long walk with them. It really comes down to the clients preference and I will stick to their normal routine!!

About: I have always been a dog person. I only have one dog, but I love him with my whole heart. I have been taking care of my neighbors golden retriever on and off for around 5 years now, whenever the owner is away for work. I can work with any size dog, and any breed. I only work part time right now, and for these next two weeks, I am not working at all! I work at a school, so I also get Christmas break off. I start school again in January, but I still will have a decently open schedule. Whatever the client needs, I will do! I am more looking to do drop ins, and walks, but I am more than willing to stay with the pup for a bit and play with them to take some of their energy out.

About: I’ve been a cat lover my whole life and would love to meet yours! I have 3 medically complex 4 yr old kitties with allergies, autoimmune conditions, urinary issues, and anal gland infections. I administer oral pills and liquid twice daily for them, and have experience with subcutaneous injections. The first cats in my life were outdoor cats in rural Michigan. Some of my fondest memories are of the excitement on the bus ride home from school to play with my cat when I got home. While in college, I raised a kitten with my partner at the time and introduced a second cat a year later. They were both super energetic and loved play time with catnip toys! After that, I adopted a senior kitty who ended up being my first medically complex fur baby. She had her remaining teeth removed recently when I adopted her, but we dealt with chronic ear and eye infections as well as inflammatory bowel disease. A few months after she passed, she sent me my current three medically complex fur babies to look after. My experience with dogs is less extensive, but I’d still love to meet yours! Growing up we’d dog sit for my grandpa’s medium sized dog and my best friend had 2 wire fox terriers. More recently, I’ve watched my friend’s tiny chihuahua for a few days who got along well with my cats 🐶🐱 I am currently in between jobs, previously working as a software developer and project manager. I have lots of availability for drop-in visits and walks any day of the week 😸🐾 Your pet’s health, safety, and happiness are my top priority as a pet sitter. We tend to forget that It takes a village to raise ‘em right and I’d be honored to be the chosen addition to helping you raise yours. “Mary and her family are wonderful! They have consistently taken great care of our 3 dogs a few different times over the last year and half. on our most trip, they took our 4 year old Great Pyrenees (Kurtis) and maybe-2-year-old rescue, whose background we don’t really know much about (Mable). We thought that Mable may be a lot to handle and I felt guilty leaving her after only 3 months of adopting her. Mary reassured me Mable will do fine at her house and she was right! ! Her dogs Lady and Sawdust are the sweetest and Sawdust is very energetic and loves to play, which our pyrs love. They have a beautiful backyard with a secure fence that is big enough for all the dogs to roam and play. There are always new dogs to play with! Mary is super knowledgeable and always stays in great communication texting nightly updates and photos from the day! Out pyrs are exhausted after their week at their house!”
“They are great!!! Sabe had a wonderful time. Sabe misses Alyssa's dog Peanut already. Testament to her fun stay was that Sabe came home and napped for 3 hours from all the running and playing.
