“Tiffany is truly the BEST! She really is my dog’s second mama. He loves her and gets excited to see her and spend time with her family. She’s very present with her communication and always makes sure I’m in the loop. I get regular photos and videos of my pup which puts my mind at ease. If you are looking for someone 100% trustworthy to look after your fur baby, Tiffany is your person!! I’ve been looking working with her for over 3 years now.”

About: Hi, I’m Taylah! 🐾 I’ve cared for dogs since I was 12, helping raise Great Danes, a Husky, and puppies. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and love giving them plenty of attention, playtime, cuddles, and care. I’m available for drop-ins, overnight stays, and doggy day care. I also welcome holiday bookings—just send me a message! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I go on walks every day, so bringing a furry friend along is always a joy, not a task. Whether it’s morning strolls or evening wind-downs, I’m already active and outdoors, which makes it easy to give your dog the exercise and attention they need. My flexible schedule allows me to be fully present and responsive to their needs—whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just a little extra love throughout the day. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I treat them like family. In my home, dogs have a safe, clean, and calm space to relax, with plenty of room to play and nap. I follow their regular routines—feeding schedules, walk times, and any special instructions—to make the transition smooth and stress-free. When I’m in a client’s home, I respect the space and the pet’s comfort zone. I keep things consistent by sticking to your pet’s usual routine, offering companionship, regular potty breaks, and lots of love and attention. I keep you updated with messages and photos so you know your pet is happy, safe, and in good hands. My goal is always to make your pet feel secure, loved, and well-cared for—whether they’re in my home or their own.
“My 1st time using Rover and couldn’t be any happier! Celina took such good care of my dog that he didn’t even need his anxiety medicine. She sent me pictures and kept me updated on what my dog was doing. I would 100% book her again! Your fur babies are safe in her hands!”

“Sabine was so wonderful! She was ultra communicative leading up to hosting Lady and throughout Lady's entire stay. Sabine sent us tons of updates and photos, which as obsessed dog parents we absolutely love!! We would 100% recommend using Sabine to care for your fur baby, we would definitely use her again when we're in the area!”

“Jorge was great with our Teddy! Jorge was very communicative throughout the entire day Teddy was at daycare. Teddy loved playing with Jorge’s dogs in the yard and Teddy was SO TIRED when he got home ❤️”

“Erica was amazing with Toby. She kept me informed and send me a picture of Toby at her home.. she asked me all the right questions to make sure she was able to give Toby the right care an attention. I would definitely.use her service again.”

“Aiden was a great hostess for our large dog while we were out of town for five days. She sent a couple pictures each day of our dog and was very prompt with responses. Would definitely recommend Aiden’s services!”

“Mary watched my two dogs a total of four times for three days at a time, and I waited till the last visit to write a review. Mary is absolutely awesome. My youngest can be a handful at times, but Mary is extremely patient, caring, and truly just loves dogs. I received a message from Mary on the second visit that my dog threw up and was not feeling good. She asks me if she can boil chicken breast and rice for him to have something easier on the stomach. This just made me feel good about leaving them in her care and that she had his best interest. She truly wants the best for them. She is the first person my dog has ever ran up to invitingly and was not timid of. I will definitely be going back to Mary if I’m in need of a good dog sitter.”

“Camila was the best! She took amazing care of our pup, sent daily updates and pictures, and was very communicative. We’d definitely use Camila again in the future - highly recommend!”

“We’ve boarded our two dogs with Audree. Audree takes great care of our pups and she is so easy to communicate with. She was flexible with an earlier pick up time. She sent pictures of our pups letting us know Milo and Kenzie was safe and enjoying their play time. Milo and Kenzie will be most definitely be coming back to stay again. Thank you Audree!”

“Sarah has been such a great sitter to our super energetic and playful dog, Tex. She is patient and kind and always sends us updates which gives us peace of mind while we’re away. Thanks for being so wonderful to our dog, Sarah!”

“Laurie was absolutely fantastic! She went above and beyond with communication throughout my pups stay, to include photos and videos. I will definitely book with her again!’”

“Jessie was absolutely amazing. If you need to leave your very loved pet for a trip, Jessie will take care of them like her own. Our Zinny was super happy with her stay and we will definitely use Jessie again soon!”

“Eldeen and her family make my dog, Ruben, feel like he has a second home. I know that when I leave him in their care that he will be taken care of like he’s at home. From the first meet and greet, Eldeen and her family, have made sure that I was comfortable leaving Ruben in their care. They are my go to sitter for Ruben.”

About: I’ve spent years taking care of pets—from shy seniors to high-energy pups—and I really take the time to get to know what each one needs to feel happy and comfortable. I’m super patient, and I love finding the little things that make each pet light up, whether that’s a favorite toy or a long walk! My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and totally at home while you’re away. Pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine. I plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, play sessions, and check-ins, so giving pets consistent care fits really smoothly into my day. Whether it’s morning walks, midday drop-ins, or evening chill time, I make sure each pet gets the attention and structure they’re used to. Even on busy weeks, I carve out dedicated time so every animal I’m caring for gets patience, affection, and a routine that feels familiar to them. I listen to you. In my home, I keep pets on their usual routine and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. If I’m at a client’s home, I follow their rules and their pet’s normal schedule so everything feels familiar.
“Megan is an outstanding dog boarder. She sent us photos of Dream daily and an update. Megan gave Dream exceptional care and I could not be more appreciative for Megan . Highly recommend!!!”

“Anthony took great care of our 3 fur babies and kept us updated each day with check ins and pictures. He even took the time and initiative to make fresh chicken and rice for our old gal who sometimes doesn’t feel like eating. He accommodated our drop off and pick up times as well without complaint which was so nice. He has a great set up for his “guests”. We are so happy and appreciative of his service and to know we have a safe and friendly option for the “kids” when we are gone. Highly recommend!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dumfries
Imbasat took care of our cat Pudding from 7-8-2026 to 7-24-2026. The experience of having Imbasat take care of Pudding was above and beyond excellent. Pudding formed part of her family including her husband and two young children that took care of Pudding as if it were their own pet. Imbasat was so sensitive about the feelings of separation of our young daughter from Pudding that she sent daily pictures and videos of Pudding that eased the separation pain of our 8 year old daughter. The personal and dedicated care provided by Imbasat is unique in that Pudding was allowed to roam freely throughout her home with interactive play with Imbasat, her husband and children compared with what is available in the market since typical cat hotels hold the cat in a cage with typical dimensions 2'x2'x3'. Overall I was extremely happy with Imbasat's care of Pudding and would definitely repeat having her take care of Pudding in a future trip.
Vanessa was amazing! She took care of one of my dogs on very short notice and was incredibly caring, patient, and reliable. She kept me updated and made me feel at ease knowing my pup was in great hands. I truly appreciate her flexibility and kindness, I wish we found her so much sooner.

Jessica was amazing with my senior English Bulldog. I went away for a holiday for my best friend’s wedding. I was a little nervous about leaving Desi, as he can be reactive so we scheduled a meet up beforehand. This gave me some peace of mind when Desi made himself right at home. Jessica was great about sending updates throughout my trip and was able to easily manage Desi’s supplements and high maintenance behavior.

When the dog sitters are sad when you pick up your dog, you know your have the best sitters ever. Noelle was truly part of the family; on the couch, the children played and laid on her and Noelle protected the Elcy. I am soo happy with Elcy and family. Thank you!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
