“We were thrilled with the super service Jenn provided for our dog. We got regular pictures and updates reassuring us all was great. She gave our dog lots of walks and attention. Midnight returned home happy and there was no stress throughout drop-off, pick-up, etc. I highly recommend Jenn B. and look forward to using her service again.”

“Rosalina and her family were incredibly kind and attentive to my dog. They sent me daily photos of him having a great time with her family. I’m definitely booking with her again! The service was exceptional and I highly recommend her.”

“I just had my dogs at her house for this weekend. She was amazing. She picked up my dogs from my house and even dropped them off for me. She is very flexible and will work with you. She sent me pictures throughout the day without even me having to ask, which shows that she really cares. They were able to play outside in her yard with the other pups and she made my pups feel like they were home away from home. I highly recommend her, you will not regret it!! Look no further, Vanessa is your girl!!”

About: I have taken care of dogs that were mine or family friends at all age ranges. I am familiar with giving dogs medicine and practicing commands. I work full time but am a teacher off during the summer. My husband also works 1 mile from our home to be able to be home after a school day. I love dogs and have one of my own. I will walk your dog, brush, give medication, and play with your dog throughout the day. My soul job will be to ease your dogs anxiety while you are away.
“My dog Batman had a wonderful stay with Vanessa and Geoffrey. They have a great set up and were very attentive and loving towards my dog. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will be booking again in the future!”

“Heather is so sweet and clearly loves what she does. She’s particular and prepared in all the ways that make you confident leaving your pups. Very communicative and flexible. Thank you SO much!”

“Ana was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Bella! From the moment we met her, it was clear how much she genuinely loves and understands animals. She took extra time to make sure Bella was comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Ana sent regular updates and photos, which really put our minds at ease while we were away. Bella can be a little shy at first, but Ana’s gentle and patient approach won her over right away. We came home to a very relaxed and happy pup — it was obvious she had been loved and cared for as if she were Ana’s own. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Ana, for taking such special care of Bella! We’ll definitely be booking with you again. 🐾”

“Rebecca took such great care of my Charlie! I received several pics during his stay and he looked so happy! Rebecca was very accommodating with a last minute stay request and we will be booking her again very soon!”

“Excellent service! Jim was kind, reliable, and very caring. Everything went smoothly, and I really appreciated the updates. I highly recommend him and would definitely book again.”

“We always try to book Traci when we’re leaving town. She is conscientious, flexible, and cheerful, and provides frequent updates with photos. We have no worries at all when we leave our pups with Traci. Our dogs love her, and she seems to really love them, too!”

About: I am an animal lover; I always have had dogs on my home. I used to take care of my dogs and family's dogs. I love dogs, I love to take them for a walk, I like to play outside, and I enjoy pampering animals. I am looking for a part time job and I need some extra income, so I have plenty of time to assist the animal owners. I would rather take care for pets on client's house. My landlord does not allow me to bring pets on my home and I don't have enough space for large pets.
“Dayana and her family are wonderful sitter’s! They treat Bella like family and have given her the nickname “Queen Bella”’. Communication is great - I receive morning and evening updates with pictures and videos. I recommend Dayana/Sonia 100% and will be using them as my dog sitters going forward.”

“Michael and Alaina (and doggie Deji) were amazing hosts. We had a fairly last minute request for them to watch our golden, Penny, for eight nights, including a holiday weekend, and they were more than accommodating. They were communicative, sent pictures several times a day, and took Penny on lots of walks and multiple outings (Great Falls, Ft Ward and Starbucks to name a few). We wouldn’t hesitate to leave Penny with Michael, Alaina and Deji again and they will be our first message when looking for a dog sitter in the future.”

“My 1st time using Rover and couldn’t be any happier! Celina took such good care of my dog that he didn’t even need his anxiety medicine. She sent me pictures and kept me updated on what my dog was doing. I would 100% book her again! Your fur babies are safe in her hands!”

“Mickey took amazing care of my 2 fur babies, Juno and Willow. He messaged me every single day and updated me. He even sent pictures and videos of them playing! I highly recommend Mickey as a dog sitter to anyone and will surely spread the word. When I picked my babies up they were happy and healthy and even better behaved! Thank you so much! I will surely contact you again for our next family vacation!”

“She took care of my gizmo really well. Gizmo can be a hot mess sometimes and she took care of her really good. Jessica did well with keeping up with gizmos medication. We definitely be taking our other pets and gizmo back to her.”
“I’m so grateful for the amazing care my dog received. They took such wonderful care of him and kept me updated with photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It’s clear how much love and attention they give to the pets they care for. I was absolutely delighted with the experience and would trust them again without hesitation. Thank you for treating my furry baby like family!”

“This was our first time using Rover, and we couldn't be happier with Seyla's pet sitting services. He provided multiple daily updates, including time-stamped videos and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Our boys received plenty of exercise and were clearly well cared for—Seyla treated them as if they were his own. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a reliable, attentive, and caring sitter. We will definitely be booking with him again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Dumfries
Vanessa was amazing! She took care of one of my dogs on very short notice and was incredibly caring, patient, and reliable. She kept me updated and made me feel at ease knowing my pup was in great hands. I truly appreciate her flexibility and kindness, I wish we found her so much sooner.

Jessica was amazing with my senior English Bulldog. I went away for a holiday for my best friend’s wedding. I was a little nervous about leaving Desi, as he can be reactive so we scheduled a meet up beforehand. This gave me some peace of mind when Desi made himself right at home. Jessica was great about sending updates throughout my trip and was able to easily manage Desi’s supplements and high maintenance behavior.

When the dog sitters are sad when you pick up your dog, you know your have the best sitters ever. Noelle was truly part of the family; on the couch, the children played and laid on her and Noelle protected the Elcy. I am soo happy with Elcy and family. Thank you!!!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
