“Hana was awesome for last minute care for our cat. Received a picture on his last Rover card that he was laying on her lap so clearly he is comfortable with her and loves her! Thankful for her!”

About: I've always been a natural caregiver. I've had pets since I was born, took care of my grandmother in her final years, and I take care of patients of all ages everyday as a healthcare worker. My goal is always to look out for the underdog (pun intended). I work at a dental clinic nearby with nights, weekends, and every other Friday off. My 15 minute commute allows me to pop home if I need to let our pup out. I have plenty of time before and after work for walks and snuggles too! I have a fenced in backyard, a super laid back 9 year old lab mix, and two chill cats who pretty much keep to themselves. We have plenty of extra space for crating if need be! And if for some reason your furry friend needs and entirely secluded area, we can provide that as well.
“Hannah was a fantastic cat sitter! This is my first time using a professional service for my kitties, and I was blown away by her thoroughness and fantastic communication. I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely ask for her services in the future if needed. Just a fantastic person through and through!”

“Leila was AMAZING. I really appreciated how she was able to communicate with me so much as she checked in with Lola! This was my first time leaving her by herself so that check in with Leila was much needed. I am literally rebooking her right now! Leila thank you so much for making Lola feel special and really paying attention to her needs while you were there! Lola will see you soon 💖”

“Alexandra dropped in to check on my 2 kittens. She was very responsive and available for a meet and greet on short notice. I will definitely be using her services in the future!”

“Ty was amazing with my two cats! I would highly recommend Ty to anyone who needs a pet sitter. My cats warmed up to Ty so quickly and I could tell Ty really cared for them and it put my mind at ease while I was away!”

“We used Daisy in a pinch for a dropin visit and she gladly accepted. We're lucky to have someone close by that you can easily tell loves her own pups as much as anyone, definitely recommend!”

“Cathy took wonderful care of my cat, Sky, and I couldn’t be more grateful. From the very beginning, Sky made a great connection with her and was incredibly affectionate, which says so much about the care and warmth she provides. She truly went above and beyond, giving Sky extra love and attention and making sure he felt comfortable and happy at all times. Cathy was kind, helpful, supportive, and very proactive, always keeping me updated and anticipating anything Sky might need. She was also extremely responsive and easy to reach, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. I would absolutely trust Cathy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. If Sky could type, he’d probably give her 5 paws and a head boop 🐾😄”

About: Your Dog Gets a Vacation Too! 🐾 While you’re away, your pup gets to enjoy their own little vacation. Including personalized care, plenty of playtime, walks, cuddles, and lots of love. I’ll keep their routine as normal as possible while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home. You’ll also get regular photo and video updates, so you never have to wonder what your pup is up to. My goal is simple: happy pups, relaxed owners, and a stay they’ll actually enjoy. 🐶💕 I currently am a stay at home wife. I have no kids, and two dogs of my own. I spend my day caring for dogs, going on multiple walks a day. I provide a clean house, I have a fenced in backyard. I have two gates up in my home to keep things separated if needed. I try to keep routines as normal as possible for your pup! We allow dogs on the couch, so your pup will get so much cuddles!!

About: I’ve spent years caring for both dogs and cats and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, basic cleanup, and giving pets plenty of attention while their owners are away. I’m dependable, active, patient, and take instructions seriously. I’ll treat your pets and home with the same care and respect I expect for my own. I work during the week, so I’m primarily available for pet care in the mornings, quick lunch, and evenings and on weekends. I keep my schedule limited so I can give each pet the time and attention they deserve without overbooking. I follow each owner’s instructions closely and make sure doors, gates, leashes, food, and medications are handled exactly as requested. I respect every client’s home, keep pets supervised during visits, and provide updates so owners know their pets are safe and comfortable.
About: I LOVE animals and just want more time with them. I can manage strong dogs as mine are and also am used to high anxiety dogs as I have one of those too. I am eager to live on your fur babies in your absence I work full time but only have my kids 50% of the time which leaves me a lot of free time to help watch your pets. Even if I have my kids, they love animals too I can walk dogs, let them out in the yard, can clean litter boxes and play/pet them. I can give meds if your pet will use pill pockets

“Laura saved the day and took great care of my fur babies on such short notice. I will definitely be booking with Laura again in the future. Thanks for all the adorable photos!”

About: I've taken care of dogs for years. I have my own dog and have also pet sat overnight for 3-8 days for family friends. I've also had cats and experience caring for those. I'm currently an undergraduate student in DC. I'm available most afternoons and evenings during the week, and very flexible on weekends. I can do overnight stays in the Northern VA area as well. I offer house sitting and drop‑in visits in your home to keep your pet comfortable in their normal environment. In your home, I follow your pet’s usual schedule for meals, walks, and play. I take home safety seriously, keeping doors and gates secure, supervising outdoor time, and treating your space with the same care as my own. Before any stay, I review your written instructions and ask questions, then send regular photo updates so you can relax while you’re away.
About: Hello! My name is John Paul (JP) for short. I turned 18 a couple months ago and I’m available for pet sitting! I have been doing pet sitting for about 6 years now and I love it. I’ve had 3 dogs, 2 cats, and over 5 baby parrots I’ve raised on own when I was younger and I like to think I had/have a very good relationship with them. I love all sorts of animals and love getting to spend time and interact with them. We’ll because I’m still in school, I stay at home with my parents but I have 2 cats that I feed, clean litter boxes, and spend time and play with daily. In my clients home I would obviously respect their space and not let the pets in anywhere they cannot go. If they have a fenced backyard and allow it, I would let them out and play with them. If they have a cat I would try my best to just spend time with them and play if they want to!
About: My experience in pet care began at 15 years old when I took some neighbors dogs for walks. The types of dogs I walked were a greyhound, a collie and an Australian shepherd. My next petcare job was the summer after my junior in college when I cat sat a persian named Mimi for a professor who went on a long vacation. Mimi was sad when her owner left, but I gave her lots of love, and we formed a strong bond. The summer after I pet sat a great dane and an american bulldog, and they were big teddy bears and lap dogs. Sometimes they would even sleep at my feet at night. Years later towards the winter of 2014, I pet sat for a client later turned friend who travelled 3 months to Antartica for his job. His furry companions were a black named Fred and a golden named Ginger: both of them what I called the sweetest dogs in the world. I did everything there is to pet sitting and even took them to the vet for a regular check-up and the groomers. It was around this time I lost my main job I had and was very distraught. They sensed this and they did things like come upstairs to check on me to see if I was ok, sit on my lap and watch tv with me, shower me with lots of doggie kisses, sleep by my side or by my feet in bed etc. I joined Rover in late 2018, and I had a handful of families that made me their designated pet sitter because of the quality care and love I give. Their pets actually got sad (and so did I) when I had to leave after their owners returned, but were enthusiastic when I arrived to care for them again. During 2019-early 2023, I worked for a pet care company called Becky's Pet Care where I cared for a plethora of animals such as dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs and chickens. However, due to their failure of maintaining health and safety standards of employees, I decided to branch out on my own and rejoin Rover. I have several clients and hope to get a few more clients because caring for animals is extremely rewarding. They are my best friends. NOTE ABOUT MY RATES: -For doggie walks and drop in visits my rates are $15 for a 20 minute visit, $25 for a 30, $35 for a 45 and $50 for an hour and beyond. I also offer in-home pet sitting, and my rates are on my profile. I will stay with your animals for the majority of the day and only leave if I have other dog walks/drop in visits, to do the trivia shows I host Wednesdays, or to drive for Uber and Lyft for a few hours on the days I don't have my shows. -I do not charge extra for multiple pets when it comes to dog walks and drop in visits, however, I ask you be realistic on how long you think a timed visit will take. For example: feeding and walking two dogs, then feeding cats and scooping their litter boxes will take longer than 20 minutes. I do charge extra for additional pets when it comes to staying over, but it's only $10 for each additional dog and $5 for each additional cat. If you have multiple animals where it's something like one dog and two cats, then I will $50 for the dog and $5 for each cat. -I DO NOT charge extra if your fur baby is...well...a puppy. Lol. Puppies are a riot: full of energy and lots of love. I know some pet care professionals do, but I don't. -I DO NOT charge extra if your dog has special needs. Guess what? I do too!! I have tremendous anxiety sometimes and have to exercise. Other people might charge extra, but I don't. -I sometimes request to be paid half up front if its an EXREMELY long pet sitting request. You can simply leave a check or cash on a table for me when I arrive to start pet sitting for you. With that said, I send lots of photos, videos and texts through the WhatsApp or through text, even without a request, so you know your furbabies are well taken care of. I'm currently working for myself and can easily fit taking excellent care of your furbabies into my schedule. In fact, I may be working for myself for a while. I drive for Uber and Lyft. I will take care of your furbabies like the cuddly precious angels they are. I will only give them food and treats you approve. I will make sure they get proper exercise and will give them lots of love. I will also make sure there's no aggressive rough housing if you have more than one dog. Or even cat.
“This is the second time we’ve used Robert as a pet sitter. We appreciate the care he takes with our fur babies and the updates he sends through the app. He suggested we consider using a slow feeder for our one dog who gobbles up her food which was a great idea that I had never thought of before!”
“Danielle was great and our dogs loved her! She was very responsive, logged ever in the river app for us to see about our dogs, and sent us lots of pictures. Highly recommend her and will definitely use her again!”

Samantha is a wonderful dog walker for my Lucy! She is incredibly dependable, punctual, and communicative. I always receive several great pictures from their walk along with a detailed report on how Lucy did. She even asked when Lucy’s birthday was so she could make sure to bring her a special treat, which shows just how much she truly cares for the dogs in her care. It gives me complete peace of mind knowing Lucy is in such thoughtful hands. I couldn't ask for a better dog walker and highly recommend Samantha to anyone looking for top-notch care for their fur baby. And I know she loves cats too!

We cannot thank Megan enough for the great care she gave to our pets for 6 days so we could Enjoy our time at the beach - and these weren't normal pets! She loved on our bearded dragon, fed him bugs, gave him Showers (which makes him go to the bathroom haha). She also cared for our aquatic frog. She brought in mail. She sent photos. She was on time every day. We will definitely always hire Megan to care for our family pets. We didn't worry about them one second. Thank you so much Megan!

One of the best experiences I've ever had. Bryce is exceptional and clearly a lover of dogs! He was super attentive and caring. The pictures and text during and after each home visit was above and beyond. I'm really thankful Bryce accepted this job because I can't imagine a better experience.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
