“Alyssa is so very sweet and gentle with our furbabies. She’s lovely, uber-reliable (no reminders needed), and absolutely trustworthy! We appreciated communication with feedback about her visits and photos to see that our dogs were OK!”

“Hana took excellent care of our senior kitty, Rue, while we were away. Rue requires medication twice a day, which isn’t always easy, but Hana made sure she got everything she needed right on time. She also sent thoughtful updates every day, which gave us so much peace of mind. We highly recommend Hana and would absolutely book with her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of my pets and friends’ pets for the last few years whenever they have needed it. Mainly walking, drop in visits, and occasional pet sitting. I love playing with pets if they are playful! I currently work from home so it’s fairly easy for me to take my lunch break or mornings to give some extra attention to your pets. I am not able to currently care for pets in my own home, however I’ll be able to tend to your pets in your home however you’d like. I have experience in dog, cat, and bird care so I’ll be able to adjust to your pets needs.
“Melissa took wonderful care of my two dogs and was reliable, communicative, and professional throughout the week while I was traveling. She even handled a few unexpected messes with kindness and without hesitation, which I truly appreciated. I came home to two happy dogs and would absolutely book Melissa again!”

“Samira took amazing care of my cat Reese and went above and beyond—even when the app had issues. They found other ways to keep me updated and made sure Reese was happy and comfortable. I came home to a relaxed cat and a clean space. Highly recommend if you want someone who truly cares!”

About: I've always been a natural caregiver. I've had pets since I was born, took care of my grandmother in her final years, and I take care of patients of all ages everyday as a healthcare worker. My goal is always to look out for the underdog (pun intended). I work at a dental clinic nearby with nights, weekends, and every other Friday off. My 15 minute commute allows me to pop home if I need to let our pup out. I have plenty of time before and after work for walks and snuggles too! I have a fenced in backyard, a super laid back 9 year old lab mix, and two chill cats who pretty much keep to themselves. We have plenty of extra space for crating if need be! And if for some reason your furry friend needs and entirely secluded area, we can provide that as well.

About: I have had pets all my life. I started helping take care of my cat and dogs at around 10 years old. I help out with my friends and extended family members pets as well. My dog takes medication in the morning so I can administer medication if needed. She has also gone through two surgeries so I can help during pet recovery as well. I’ve had hyperactive dogs as well as territorial/ toy-aggressive dogs and know how to deal with them. I have also had dogs who needed extra care due to being old. I do know a little bit about training dogs but not much. I work part time and go to college full time. However, I live at home with my parents so I can fit pet care into my schedule. I have a fenced backyard for my dog to run around or just lay outside. I walk her 2/3 times a day and she gets fed twice a day, morning and evening. I also spend a lot of time with her whether it’s playing around or just watching tv. If I am caring for someone else’s pets, I feed the pets and play with them as well as hang out with them.

“Laura always takes such wonderful care of our kitty when we are away. She is very communicative, always providing thorough updates and a lot of pictures, which I appreciate so much when we are missing our kitty! I also appreciate how flexible she is, including adapting to a last-minute change I requested on our most recent booking. I highly recommend her for anyone needing quality care for their furry loved ones!”

“Ty was amazing with my two cats! I would highly recommend Ty to anyone who needs a pet sitter. My cats warmed up to Ty so quickly and I could tell Ty really cared for them and it put my mind at ease while I was away!”

About: I’m back on Rover for summer break 2026. I’ve taken care of cats and dogs (and fish) since I was a teenager, and had a beloved dog for 13 years who passed away in 2023. I have since adopted a wild little puppy, which is why I can’t do overnights anymore. If drop-ins work for you instead, contact me for a flat daily rate instead of paying for each drop-in. I have volunteered at the humane society and often watch my friends’ pets when they go out of town. I also took care of my dog through multiple knees surgeries and two different types of cancer. I love being able to take care of animals in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable and know their families will be back soon. As a high school counselor, I’m available for drop-ins, walks, crate breaks, and playtime all summer long. If you have a dog or cat who needs a crate break during the day or you just want to have some company or exercise before you get home from work, I’m here for that. I will love on your pets and give them as much attention, play, walks, cuddles, and fun as they want! If your pet is more of a recluse, I can be there for company and to take care of them, while fully respecting their personality. I will follow your directions specifically, because I know how important it is to maintain diet, house rules, meal schedules, bathroom routines, and medication times for a pet’s health and well-being. I prefer to watch pets in their homes because after having a dog, I understand how much less stress it is for them. I’ll take daily pictures (at least) and ask what time of day is best for you to receive them (especially if you’re in a different time zone). I’m happy to watch pets recovering from surgery too, as long as there are clear instructions. This was a challenge I experienced when my dog had surgery and I had to go to work, so I’d be happy to fill that need.
“We used Daisy in a pinch for a dropin visit and she gladly accepted. We're lucky to have someone close by that you can easily tell loves her own pups as much as anyone, definitely recommend!”

Now I have 3 mixed breed dogs, 2 of which are rescues, all from different backgrounds. With the love and care I provide, each dog gets along great! I love all dogs and breeds. Samantha was awesome! She was kind, attentive and proactively communicated consistently throughout each visit. She went above and beyond and made sure our fur baby was loved on the entire time we were gone. We know we left our pug in capable and kind hands and we will definitely be reaching out to Samantha the next time we need a chaperone for our pug!

Hana did an amazing job taking care of our dogs and cat for the weekend! She arranged to come and meet the dogs before hand, and was prompt to her visits! We received lots of updates and pictures throughout the day. Our pups were definitely well taken care of while we were gone! I’d recommend Hana to anyone looking for a pet sitter! She’s great!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Triangle with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
