“Tracey took very good care of our sweet pea she called her diva and that name is so fitting. She is so kind, sweet and very knowledgeable of pet care. When I ever go out of town I will always want her to take care of my furry family. I recommend Tracey to any one that needs boarding pet care, you will love her too!”

“We booked kind of last minute, and due to a change in travel plans, Cleo stayed an extra night. I will not be using anyone other than G.T. Royalties Ranch for any future boarding needs. They treated Cleo like family, and they were more than accommodating for our travel needs. By far, this is the best boarding experience we have had to date. Love them ❤️”

“Vanessa was great. She took great of Chester and kept us updated all the time with photos and text messages. I would definitely use her services again. She’s the best!”

“Linda and her family were great! I loved that she sent videos and pictures throughout the day. My Yorkie, Titan, was very happy and well taken care of during his stay. I would highly recommend using Linda and look forward to using her again in the future.”

“10 stars!!!!! My Layla is a 90lb American Bully who is scared of her own shadow. But upon first meeting, Layla loved the backyard and enjoyed playing with the other dogs and the sitter’s son!! The sitter allows the dogs to wander freely in the yard and home but also ensures that there are controlled zones for safety. My Layla is a very sensitive dog so I can tell from her temperament if she feels comfortable. When I came to pick Layla up she sat on the front porch with me letting the sitter pet her. I believe I have found a second home for her that will treat her like family when I am away!!!!!❤️❤️❤️”

“Absolutely wonderful dog sitter and caregiver! Kathleen (Katie) has been my go-to dog boarder for over 15 years, and I was thrilled when she joined Rover so more people could find her. She recently watched my dog for me, and it was just as fantastic as always. From the very first day we met, I knew my pups were in the best hands. Katie truly loves dogs and it shows in everything she does. When we adopted our puppy a while back, Katie was incredibly helpful — offering advice, extra patience, and gentle guidance as we all adjusted to life with a new little one. She has such a calming presence with dogs of all ages and personalities. My dog always comes home happy, well-exercised, and clearly well-loved. If you’re looking for someone who treats your dog like their own, look no further. Katie is professional, communicative, trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about what she does. I recommend her without hesitation — she’s the real deal! Thank you, Katie, for always taking such great care of my furry family members. ❤️”

“Eldeen and Eugene have been our pups favorite second family for a while now. They are the reason I am always at ease whenever I have to go away on a business trip or a family holiday. I get updates via photos and their pick up/drop off service is effortless. Eldeen and Eugene are the gold stars of quality care for your pet. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Cindy was wonderful! We appreciated the opportunity for the meet and greet visit and the tour of her property. We felt great about leaving our dog in her care. Our dog Watson who generally is shy was able to adapt very quickly to the new environment and the professional care by Cindy! Thank you so much for giving loving attention to Watson!”

“Erica is a great home away from home. I would recommend her to every one. She’s very accommodating. I can tell that she cares deeply for your pets by the questions that she ask when you first meet her. She’s reasonably priced and worth every penny. Thank you, Erica for your availability and wonderful service!”

“Rhys had a wonderful time with Garrett and Ana! He came back so tired but was back his normal self by this morning which is unusual. It usually takes him 2-3 days to get back to normal”

“Ashley and her family took great care of our cat MJ! The pictures Ashley sent of MJ having fun makes us smile and laugh. We have to ask ourselves, “is that our cat?” because MJ is so comfortable and out going with Ashley and her family. Ashley - thank you for the great care you give to MJ!”

“Marcela and her family are the best pet sitters! I had to find a sitter for my hyper Shiba Inu puppy and kitty cat. Marcela sent me daily updates with pics, and Dolly and queen had a great time with Marcela and her family. If you need a sitter to trust your “fur babies” with, Marcela is your gal ???”

“David and his family were great for my dog! Very communicative through the whole process and made us comfortable at the meet and greet. They sent plenty of pictures of my dog accompanying their everyday life, so I know he was well taken care of and had a great time. Will definitely book David and his family again!”

“Boarding Otto with Michael and Alaina was completely stress free. I never worried for a second while he was in their care. They suggested to meet beforehand with their pup Deji where the boys became instant friends. Michael and Alaina were extremely responsive, communicative, and clearly attentive throughout the stay. I would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, thoughtful care.”

“This was our first time ever using a sitter, and Carlos put us at ease right off the bat during the initial meeting. He was receptive to our concerns (our dog is 12), and let us know that our dog was in good hands. During our dog’s 4-day stay with Carlos, we got numerous updates during each day with pictures and summaries. Our dog looked so happy to be with Carlos and Sasha! Carlos was also willing to accommodate a late pickup on the final day due to flight issues, which we really appreciated. He even wrote us a very sweet and heartfelt message thanking us for entrusting our dog to his care. I can’t recommend Carlos enough, and we will definitely be back if we need a sitter in the future.”

“Sarah has been such a great sitter to our super energetic and playful dog, Tex. She is patient and kind and always sends us updates which gives us peace of mind while we’re away. Thanks for being so wonderful to our dog, Sarah!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Triangle
Imbasat took care of our cat Pudding from 7-8-2026 to 7-24-2026. The experience of having Imbasat take care of Pudding was above and beyond excellent. Pudding formed part of her family including her husband and two young children that took care of Pudding as if it were their own pet. Imbasat was so sensitive about the feelings of separation of our young daughter from Pudding that she sent daily pictures and videos of Pudding that eased the separation pain of our 8 year old daughter. The personal and dedicated care provided by Imbasat is unique in that Pudding was allowed to roam freely throughout her home with interactive play with Imbasat, her husband and children compared with what is available in the market since typical cat hotels hold the cat in a cage with typical dimensions 2'x2'x3'. Overall I was extremely happy with Imbasat's care of Pudding and would definitely repeat having her take care of Pudding in a future trip.
Vanessa was amazing! She took care of one of my dogs on very short notice and was incredibly caring, patient, and reliable. She kept me updated and made me feel at ease knowing my pup was in great hands. I truly appreciate her flexibility and kindness, I wish we found her so much sooner.

When the dog sitters are sad when you pick up your dog, you know your have the best sitters ever. Noelle was truly part of the family; on the couch, the children played and laid on her and Noelle protected the Elcy. I am soo happy with Elcy and family. Thank you!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
