“Kelly is the best! She's great to work with in terms of communication and getting all the medications and taking great pictures. Additionally, the doggos love her and they get so much activity! It feels great knowing they're having a good time!”

“Our dog Reese had a great time with Mickey and his dogs. We love that Mickey has a training background and we didn't have to worry about Reese coming back with any bad behaviors. In fact, Mickey knows how to handle Reese better than we do. Another very important part to us is that Reese was hanging out with a loving family and not just kept in a crate. We will definitely board with Mickey again.”

“Taylor was really good with Willow. She kept me updated on Willow and sent pictures and videos time and again. Willow enjoyed her stay with Taylor and made friends with Bagel.”

“I am sorry Laurie that I am so late, with this review. Laurie is such a sweet woman. She took such good care of my Lyric. I have only used one pet sitter to keep Lyric since she was 3 months old and I was nervous about taking her to anyone else. Well Laurie treated Lyric like one of her own and Lyric was enjoying herself the entire time. Laurie kept me posted the entire visit with pics, texts and videos. Thank you Laurie for being such a kind soul.”

“Our senior lady was in great hands! Sarah made sure to send us daily updates with photos and videos. We will definitely book with them next time we’re going out of town.”

“Very attentive with photos and updates! I was hesitant as this was my first time using Rover, but Kalyn put all my worries to bed, and even let me bring Ayla for an informal meet and greet with her dogs prior to Ayla's care there. Kayla was a dream to correspond with, and a wonderful caregiver! 10+++ stars.”

“Tracey was AMAZING with my boy Jack. She sent pictures & updates daily, which I and my kids loved. She took him on multiple walks and a dog park daily. He came home and didn't move because he was so wore out. I really enjoyed her open communication. I will definitely be using Tracey in the future for Jack's boarding needs!”

“Tracey was great! We are new to the area and needed someone last minute and she was able to keep our Golden Retrievers. She provided pictures and our boys were very happy! Definitely recommend Tracey for your fur babies!”

“Barry and his wife took tremendous care of our pup! They are friendly and treat every dog they care for as their own. Barry was responsive and provided photo updates. Seeing how comfortable and happy our dog was reassured us that she was in good hands. We will not hesitate to book with them again in the future!”

“I’m so grateful for the amazing care my dog received. They took such wonderful care of him and kept me updated with photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It’s clear how much love and attention they give to the pets they care for. I was absolutely delighted with the experience and would trust them again without hesitation. Thank you for treating my furry baby like family!”

“Linda and her entire family cared for my Snoop as he was their own. This was my first time ever leaving him with anyone other than our own family (in 14 years), I am happy and appreciative that our experience was an awesome one. Photos, videos, and daily updates had been provided.”

About: I absolutely love dogs. I will treat your dog like he or she is part of the family and love them like my own. I have aided in raising our dogs since I was a child and therefore know how to take care of them on my own. I provide tough love when needed and lots and lots of belly rubs and lovins. I will be accommodating and am usually always available! The money will be going to help repay my medical school loans haha, but I love dogs so much that I would do it free! ***I have base access!! I have helped raise dogs from my childhood, my day is not complete without an interaction with a dog! While you are away, your dog deserves all the love, care, and attention they can get and I am more than willing to provide that I care for your pet as if they were my own. We will have many lovins and snuggles, playing with toys indoor and outdoor, walks, and always adequate food, water, and treats. I will always give them all my attention and care, including tough love when needed to meet your expectations.
“This is our furry wiggle butts 3rd stay with Jessie. They get so excited when we turn down her street its almost as if we could just let them out of the car and they would find her.”

“Heather was fantastic and I would definitely recommend her services for your furry family members. She is considerate, friendly, and very responsive. Heather will go above and beyond to ensure your pet is happy and safe. She constantly provided updates and pictures which was reassuring. Huge thanks to Heather for taking care of my baby girl.”

“Teecey made me very comfortable leaving my little one with her overnight. She was very accommodating when I forgot to bring all of my dog's food and Teecey's dog was a great playmate for my energetic Frenchie. I'd choose Teecey again.”

“Jessica did a great job. She sent lots of pictures and even dressed him up for the holiday. Bogey didn’t want to leave at first cause he had so much fun. Bogey fell asleep as soon as he got home from all the fun he had.”

“Anthony did a wonderful job taking care of our 3 dogs! He truly cares, sends pictures and updates daily, and makes sure he learns about each of your dog's needs. We will definitely ask Anthony to watch them again!”

“Jona and Henry were absolutely fantastic with our puppy Mochi. I had provided a cheat sheet to help guide them regarding our puppy’s current schedule and temperament and Jona took the time to read it and ask questions. She provided amazing detailed updates and photos of not just our puppy but also his meals. We couldn’t have left Mochi in better hands and we will definitely be leaving him with Jona and Henry again in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Triangle
Imbasat took care of our cat Pudding from 7-8-2026 to 7-24-2026. The experience of having Imbasat take care of Pudding was above and beyond excellent. Pudding formed part of her family including her husband and two young children that took care of Pudding as if it were their own pet. Imbasat was so sensitive about the feelings of separation of our young daughter from Pudding that she sent daily pictures and videos of Pudding that eased the separation pain of our 8 year old daughter. The personal and dedicated care provided by Imbasat is unique in that Pudding was allowed to roam freely throughout her home with interactive play with Imbasat, her husband and children compared with what is available in the market since typical cat hotels hold the cat in a cage with typical dimensions 2'x2'x3'. Overall I was extremely happy with Imbasat's care of Pudding and would definitely repeat having her take care of Pudding in a future trip.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
