“Heather has a wonderful farmette-style setting for pet sitting, with great accommodations inside and outside! Our pup turned out to be very anxious about being left somewhere new, but Heather was extremely caring and interested in making him feel as comfortable as possible. Her efforts allowed him to finally relax and enjoy his stay without incident. We will definitely use Heather again when needed :)”

“What can I say about Connie that hasn't already been said by all of her happy clients! Connie boarded our dog, Willow, for over two weeks during the holidays while we were out of town. During Willow's stay, we got photo updates everyday and Willow had such a great time playing with all the dogs! Nearing the end of Willow's stay, we were traveling back to VA and got hit with flight delays and cancellations so there was no way we'd be able to make it home in time for pick up. It was a very stressful situation for us, but Connie was incredibly understanding and flexible, and it felt so comforting to know that Willow was taken care of while we were handling all these other logistics of getting home. I cannot say enough about the peace of mind Connie provided us. When we finally made it back to Virginia, our area got hit with a snowstorm, which led to highway closures and loss of electricity over several days. It was truly one thing after another! Connie's priority at the time was everyone's safety so she kept Willow for an additional day until the roads were cleared. There are not enough words to describe Connie's high level of service and understanding. And as always, Willow was VERY tired and all played out by the time we finally got home! We are so grateful to Connie for helping us and will always, without hesitation, recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Jorje and his family are wonderful! My dog, Brody is an active dog and requires a lot of exercise; Jorge's yard is very large with a high, secure fence. It is the perfect place for Brody to safely run and play fetch. Jorje kept me updated with daily photos and videos which eased my mind and reassured me that Brody was well cared for. My dog requires a lot of attention and TLC from his people; Jorje sent me pictures of Brody playing with his children and snuggling with them on a daily basis. These folks are definitely my "go to" dog sitters. Out of a five-star rating -- they deserve six stars!”

“My two dogs did well in her care while I was on vacation for two weeks. My dogs are not well socialized and do not always get a long with other dogs. Although my dogs did not get a long with her dogs, she kept them separated and still managed to give my dogs the attention they needed.”

“MARCELA was amazing! She not only did the pick up and drop off, our German Shepherd returned with a shiny coat and calm demeanor. She shared pictures every day and made sure I was comfortable 24/7! I’m sooo grateful for her and highly recommend her services...”

“Megan was amazing with my two dogs. I had never used a dog sitter before and was a little hesitant but the communication and pics minimized my fear. I will be using her and her family again. Thanks, Megan!”

“Gilbert and Robin were great with Peach! They provided pictures and videos throughout her stay and it looked like she was having the best time. We will definitely be using their services in the future!”

“As always, Kimberly went above and beyond caring for our Kona! We are so grateful for her and her family....the love and attention they provide to our pup each time he stays is simply amazing! Thank you!!!!”

“Yolismal and her family took very good care of our two small dogs for the weekend. They have a friendly and welcoming household and lots of experience caring for pups of all kinds—ours didn’t want to leave. Highly recommended!”

“Loki enjoyed his stay with Camila and her family. She sent us pictures and told us how he was doing each day while we were on our trip. Her kids were good to Loki. He is a rescue and I am sure he was anxious to be left again. Camila understood and made sure he had lots of snuggles pets to and treats. We appreciate them giving him lots of love on his first time away from home.”

“Michelle was amazing! Our husky had a lot of anxiety being away from us and she was so patient. She found ways to make him feel at ease and provided daily updates and pics! We would rate her a 10 if we could! We will definitely book her again for our future needs. Thanks so much, Michelle!”

“Mocha enjoyed her stay with Julie, she loved running around the farm and playing with the other pups 🥰 I appreciated all the pictures & videos that were sent. Definitely would use have Julie watch over Mocha again.”

“Stacie was phenomenal with my dog Buddy. It’s the best I’ve seen him so happy and having fun with other dogs while I was away. I’ll give Stacie 5***** (Stars) for such a loving care she gave my dog. She’s the Best and will recommend her to anyone.”

“Tracey was AMAZING with my boy Jack. She sent pictures & updates daily, which I and my kids loved. She took him on multiple walks and a dog park daily. He came home and didn't move because he was so wore out. I really enjoyed her open communication. I will definitely be using Tracey in the future for Jack's boarding needs!”

“Garrett, Ana and their family were so wonderful. They were very communicative and took care of our golden, Pretzel so well. Pretzel had the best time with their family! My husband and I felt very comfortable leaving pretzel with them. We will definitely book with them again!!”

About: Hi, I’m Taylah! 🐾 I’ve cared for dogs since I was 12, helping raise Great Danes, a Husky, and puppies. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and love giving them plenty of attention, playtime, cuddles, and care. I’m available for drop-ins, overnight stays, and doggy day care. I also welcome holiday bookings—just send me a message! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I go on walks every day, so bringing a furry friend along is always a joy, not a task. Whether it’s morning strolls or evening wind-downs, I’m already active and outdoors, which makes it easy to give your dog the exercise and attention they need. My flexible schedule allows me to be fully present and responsive to their needs—whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just a little extra love throughout the day. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I treat them like family. In my home, dogs have a safe, clean, and calm space to relax, with plenty of room to play and nap. I follow their regular routines—feeding schedules, walk times, and any special instructions—to make the transition smooth and stress-free. When I’m in a client’s home, I respect the space and the pet’s comfort zone. I keep things consistent by sticking to your pet’s usual routine, offering companionship, regular potty breaks, and lots of love and attention. I keep you updated with messages and photos so you know your pet is happy, safe, and in good hands. My goal is always to make your pet feel secure, loved, and well-cared for—whether they’re in my home or their own.
“David and his family were the perfect stay for Peach. They treated peach as their own dog and had her feel at home. They were very responsive and sent a lot of pictures l. Highly recommend. Definitely will use them again!”

“Just perfect. Michelle has a lovely home with a nice park and lake area in the backyard for the dogs to enjoy. Very safe area well away from roads. Michelle communicated very well, sent photos and updates, and was completely flexible with drop off and pickup times. Someone was home with my pup all the time and Zoey really seemed to love her stay with Michelle. Highly recommended.”

“Cheryl and Gustavo were great hosts/sitters for my boy Luke. They provided regular updates and I could tell when I picked up Luke he was a little sad to go. Thanks and I highly recommend if you need a sitter.”

“Luna loves going to play with her friends at Audree’s. Audree is extremely kind, responsive to requests, and loves my girl. When we arrive for a stay, Luna’s tail wags so much it might fall off. I know she will be taken care of and loved on. I enjoy getting photos throughout her stay and I always look forward to Luna’s next stay.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Quantico
Lei was absolutely AMAZING! She came to our home to meet our dogs, learn their routines and quirks, and connect on expectations. She had great questions that made me feel confident in her attention and commitment to caring for our dogs. Both pups came home so relaxed and ready for naps, which we appreciated after a long travel day. Lei provided a few updates while we were gone as well; which was appreciated. I cannot recommend a better sitter in the area, she will absolutely treat your pets like her own.

When the dog sitters are sad when you pick up your dog, you know your have the best sitters ever. Noelle was truly part of the family; on the couch, the children played and laid on her and Noelle protected the Elcy. I am soo happy with Elcy and family. Thank you!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
