“Deloris did an amazing job house sitting and taking care of Holly! From the start, communication was great, and we felt completely at ease leaving Holly (and our home) in her care. She kept us updated with regular check-ins and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away.”

“First time booking with Dominique. She was great. We did a meet & greet and she was very kind. Followed our instructions to a T and sent many pics and videos which helped us! She’s great with anxious dogs. Would book again!”

“Erica was fantastic with our two miniature wires hair dachshunds. She stayed at the home and kept our dogs company while we were away over the Thanksgiving week. She kept us updated through the week and took them for walks. We highly recommend her.”

“She is punctual and responsive to all messages. Tiffany is very personal, professional and patient with our dogs. She allowed my older dog to relax and chill out while at the same time, she played with my very energetic and playful puppy.”

“Grant and Yunrui took great care of our dog, Ellie, for a full week at our house. We appreciated that they did a meet and greet ahead of time so we could make sure it was a good fit. They sent pictures and an update every night and Ellie seemed very happy when we got back. Thank you!”

“Paige was amazing with our dogs! She sent us tons of pictures and was in communication with us the entire time she was with our pups. Paige could definitely tell how nervous I was to leave my pups with someone new and she helped ease my fears through this whole process. She was a respectful house guest and left our home neat and tidy. My pups love her and so do we. Will be booking all my future Rovers with her!!”

“William was fantastic! He was super responsive, communicative, and immediately put us at ease during our first experience using an overnight sitter. Our dogs can be pretty standoffish with new people, but they took to him right away — which says a lot. Even our cat loved him! It was clear our pets were comfortable, well cared for, and happy while we were away. We’ll absolutely be reaching out to William again in the future”

“Cathy is reliable and communicates well. She is also accommodating. I had a last minute change of plans and needed her to dog sit for one extra night. She was flexible and agreed to extend her time.”

“Melissa was fantastic with my dog, Bentley. From the start, she was communicative, reliable, and clearly attentive to his needs. I really appreciated the consistent updates and photos - it gave me peace of mind knowing he was in great hands while I was away. She also treated my home with respect, which didn’t go unnoticed. Overall, Melissa made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter.”

From daily walks to overnight stays, your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort are my top priorities. I’m an active-duty Navy service member living on base with a lifelong love of animals. I am available evenings, weekends, and over nights. I provide care in my clients’ homes, where pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, litter box or yard maintenance, and plenty of attention and affection.

I like to keep busy, and what better way then to do so by caring for pets! I hope to be your choice for pet care. Schedule: I have a flexible schedule and can be available after 1pm almost every day for dog walking. Stays: I can be available before and after work to tend to your animal! “Chris took great care of Maggie and my house. Chris sent us lots of pictures and comments about Maggie. We will definitely have Chris back when we need another dog and house sitter. I'm really happy the experience was good for my dog by not leaving her in a kennel.”

“Zamiya was absolutely outstanding, very communicative and took wonderful care of my fur baby. I will definitely book with her again!!! I never had to wonder how my baby was doing because she kept me updated with pics and videos which I loved because I didn't have to reach out to see how he was doing. I already knew!!”

“Deborah stayed at our home to take care of our two doggies and our kitty while we were gone for the weekend. She was wonderful! Very attentive, providing updates and giving them lots of attention. Our one dog is on meds and the others are on special diets. Highly recommend Deborah for taking care of your fur babies and looking after your home.”
About: I have been pet and house sitting since 2022. So far I have been pet sitting for friends and their friends, but I wanted to extend my services to the lovely people in my area. I grew up with a big dog as our family pet. Though he is no longer with us he was the perfect sassy addition to our family. Since I have started pet sitting I have had 4-legged clients of ALL sizes, we are talking teacup pup to 100+ lbs. I also have experience with all ages ranging from ~6months to senior and I understand their different needs and energy levels. I love to run and walk especially when a doggy friend tags along. I am by no means a professional trainer but I understand dog’s need for clear commands and exercise I am an engineering student at GMU and my schedule can be a little funky compared to a typical 9-5. Please reach out to check my specific daily and long term availability! I take very great care for the safety of the animals that I watch over. I take special care when unleashing dogs to make sure that we are in a secure location (ex. Closed garage/door or fence). While on walks, even with friendly dogs, I try to stay away from others to prevent any potential incidents from happening. I also have experience with giving animals oral medication. I take close care to keep the medications on schedule and triple check that the medication was taken and not spit out (they can be sneaky sometimes).

Fantastic dog sitter! Emily kept our home spotless, followed all instructions carefully, and gave our dog so much love and attention. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we returned. Reliable, trustworthy, and highly recommended — we would absolutely book Emily again!
Avy was such an amazing sitter! Jasper’s meds are very time specific and she made sure he got them on time and even texted me every morning to let me know she gave them to him. She sent lots of photos and updates during her stay with him! I’d definitely trust Avy to watch Jasper again in the future. :)

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Quantico walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Quantico maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Quantico choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
