I have a working car so I can satisfy most any schedule. In my clients' homes, I always want to fully communicate so I understand the boundaries and guidelines of the home and care of the pet. I want to ensure that the proper tasks are taken care of in a professional manner for both you and your pets.

“Once again, Stefanie took wonderful care of our shy cat Sofia while we were out of town for a week. I appreciate the detailed summaries and daily photos from Stefanie, so we can see just how loved and well cared for our Sofie is. Bringing in the mail and packages was sprinkles on the sundae. Honestly, we never worried for even a second about Sofie because we knew she was in great hands with Stefanie. ❤️”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 16. I used to work at a dog daycare and have a 4 year old pitbull/lab mix of my own. I have always been an animal person over people I have been told. Having a dog of my own I am a very scheduled person who keeps to a tight schedule. I work from home 2x a week and can leave during lunch daily. I work 6am-2:30PM so I am off quite early and in time for any afternoon/ evening walks. Having a dog I have my apartment dog proof and plenty of toys. My pitbull is comfortable with dogs of all sizes as I have had Shihpohs to Mastiffs spend the night.
About: What sets me apart is my 15 years of hands-on experience caring for and raising pets. I'm responsible, reliable, and respectful of your home, and I'm committed to keeping it secure while ensuring your pets stay happy, loved, and relaxed in their normal routine while you're away. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I currently have a highly flexible schedule, which makes it easy for me to fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine. I have plenty of open time to dedicate to your pets and am very adaptable based on what you and your animal need. I always keep my availability calendar completely updated so you know exactly when I am free! When I'm watching pets, keeping them safe is always my main focus. I always make sure to follow all the owner's rules exactly, double-check that all the doors and gates are locked tight, and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment. I make sure pets are well-supervised, fed on time, and treated with the same love and respect I give my own animals.

About: I have had pets all my life. I started helping take care of my cat and dogs at around 10 years old. I help out with my friends and extended family members pets as well. My dog takes medication in the morning so I can administer medication if needed. She has also gone through two surgeries so I can help during pet recovery as well. I’ve had hyperactive dogs as well as territorial/ toy-aggressive dogs and know how to deal with them. I have also had dogs who needed extra care due to being old. I do know a little bit about training dogs but not much. I work part time and go to college full time. However, I live at home with my parents so I can fit pet care into my schedule. I have a fenced backyard for my dog to run around or just lay outside. I walk her 2/3 times a day and she gets fed twice a day, morning and evening. I also spend a lot of time with her whether it’s playing around or just watching tv. If I am caring for someone else’s pets, I feed the pets and play with them as well as hang out with them.
“Radyah was responsive, communicative, and flexible when I needed a last minute cat sitter due to a family emergency. She took amazing care of my sweet girl Faith while I was away! Thank you so much! 10/10”

“Alyssa is so very sweet and gentle with our furbabies. She’s lovely, uber-reliable (no reminders needed), and absolutely trustworthy! We appreciated communication with feedback about her visits and photos to see that our dogs were OK!”

“WOW!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! You have got to call Heather for your pet care needs! This was our very first experience with pet sitters and we unanimously voted Heather as our permanent caregiver for our cats and dogs! During the meet and greet, our pets, who are usually iffy around strangers, peacefully gathered around her. Trust was quickly established. Heather is warm, kind, super fun, amazing personality, and very knowledgeable about pet care. She knows exactly what to do. Besides, it was a treat meeting her extremely adorable daughter Aliya. What a team! Guaranteed amazing pet care service - Call Heather now!”

Ashley was very excited to take on the challenge of a Large Anxious Dog. Willow warmed up to her immediately, this was a great experience! Ashley followed all of our instructions with the food and medications, while still making sure Willow had plenty of time to play.

We hired Samantha to care for our two cats while we were on vacation, and she was an absolute dream to work with. She communicated with us every single day, sharing photos and updates about how they were doing. It gave us total peace of mind knowing our cats were in such great hands. To top it all off, when our return flight got delayed, Samantha truly came to the rescue. Without hesitation, she was able to accommodate our last-minute change and dropped in an additional three times to make sure our cats were taken care of. We are so incredibly grateful for her flexibility and dedication. We will definitely be booking Samantha every single time we go out of town.

Megan was wonderful! This was our first time using a pet sitter, and she made us feel completely at ease. She took the time to meet our dogs beforehand, was calm and patient with our anxious Miniature Pinscher, and handled him with the perfect balance of gentleness and confidence. During our trip, she was on time, sent great updates and photos, and took excellent care of our pets and our home. We highly recommend Megan and will definitely book her again!

Iqra was absolutely amazing with my cats! She was incredibly attentive, caring, and reliable the entire time. She kept me updated, made sure my cats were comfortable, loved, and well taken care of, and truly treated them like her own. She even went out of her way to bring wet food for them, which was such a thoughtful and kind gesture. You can genuinely tell how much she loves animals. I felt completely at ease knowing my cats were in such good hands. I would highly recommend Iqra to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and loving cat sitter! 🐾💕

Samantha was an absolute professional who our two cats loved. Rylie and Leo had fun, were in a great mood when we got home, and our home was in better condition than when we had left it. Even with short notice Samantha helped us out and was flexible around our schedules, we will be asking for her help again whenever we travel. 5/5.

If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would. This was our first time requesting pet care from a service and Ivor patiently walked us through it. From the initial meet and greet our pets were drawn to her, which doesn't often happen with new people. We felt so relaxed on our trip knowing our pets were in such safe and calming hands. Already planning to rebook with her!

One of the best experiences I've ever had. Bryce is exceptional and clearly a lover of dogs! He was super attentive and caring. The pictures and text during and after each home visit was above and beyond. I'm really thankful Bryce accepted this job because I can't imagine a better experience.

Katie has been such a help to us with our cats. One is very senior and deaf and Katie takes such good care of him. She communicates with us to keep us up to date on how they are doing and we feel secure knowing they are in good hands. I so appreciate her caring for our cats!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
