“Lyndsey was great!. Although I didn’t meet her I was grateful she could let Teddy out with her busy schedule She was flexible with walk times, posted pictures of my pup and was communicative on the app which is awesome ! As a fellow nurse I felt safe having her come to our place and walk Teddy - I will def use her again!”

“Chunli is marvelous! Our dog would sit anxiously by the door waiting for her to arrive, and was absolutely ecstatic when she saw Chunli. Chunli was punctual and reliable. She communicates extremely well through the Rover app. In person she communicates well, and she is friendly and personable. She sometimes uses a translation app to make sure there's a complete understanding. Thank you Chunli!”

“Brittney to the rescue! She was super accommodating to us being first time Rovers. She communicates very thoroughly and thoughtfully. Our little doggo was super happy to have her come take him for a quick walk, pee, & poop. Thank Brittney for taking care of our pets so well. We can tell you really love animals of all types.”

About: I have hands-on experience with reactive dogs, having raised and trained two of my own. I know how much patience, consistency, and calm energy it takes to help a nervous or reactive pup feel safe, and I’ve spent countless hours on exposure work and training to do just that. Whether your dog is shy, anxious, or still learning their manners, they’re in understanding hands with me Caring for dogs is part of my daily rhythm. Between my own dog and the time I spend on walks and play, dogs are always in my schedule. I have plenty of flexibility throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and giving your pup the time and attention they deserve I’ll always come to you, where your dog feels safest. I’ll follow whatever routine your pup already knows, and when we’re walking, my phone stays in my pocket so your dog has my full attention. I always keep the leash secure and lock up before I go. If your dog is reactive, you’re in good hands. I’ve had two reactive dogs of my own, so I know how to stay calm, read the signs, and move them away from triggers before things get to be too much. Either way, you’ll get photo updates so you can relax knowing your pup is happy and safe
About: I am an animal lover that is passionate about caring for all animals, specifically rescue animals and animals that may require unique behavioral support or have special needs. My own dog is highly reactive, so I have a lot of experience with handling and caring for reactive dogs. I treat and love every animal as my own and am a very responsible and reliable caregiver. I work as a school psychologist, so I typically care for animals more over the summer! Over the summer, I am available throughout the day for walks or drop in services. I am very flexible both week days and weekends, check my calendar to see if I’m available! I do not offer in-home pet care due to the needs of my own pets. However, I am a very responsible and respectful caregiver when entering client homes.
About: What sets me apart is real, hands-on experience, not just good intentions. I raised and trained my own dog from 8 weeks old, so I understand puppy behavior, training fundamentals, and how to build trust with a young or nervous dog from day one. I'm comfortable with all sizes, from tiny breeds to big dogs who need extra exercise and structure. I've also pet sat for countless friends since I was a teenager, so I know that every dog has a different personality and routine, and I take the time to learn what makes your pet comfortable rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether your pup needs an experienced hand with training reinforcement, extra patience, or just a loving, attentive presence while you're away, I treat every pet like my own. I currently have a lot of flexibility in my schedule! I'm not tied to a rigid 9-to-5, so I'm able to offer flexible availability throughout the week — including midday visits, walks, and drop-ins that a lot of full-time sitters can't accommodate. Whether it's a regular weekly routine or last-minute coverage, I have the bandwidth to be reliable and consistent, which I know matters most to pet parents. In my home, your pet will have plenty of space to relax and play — I have a dog-friendly 1,200 square foot apartment, and a trail nearby for walks and exercise. My own dog is incredibly social and loves playing with other dogs, so if your pup enjoys company, they'll have a built-in playmate during their stay. I treat every pet like a member of the household — consistent feeding schedules, plenty of attention, and enough space to settle in and feel comfortable rather than confined. When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible — same feeding times, same walk schedule, same little habits they're used to. I want pets to feel like nothing has changed just because their owner is away, and I always treat their home with the same respect and care I'd want for my own.
“Paul saves the day! He’s super reliable, friendly, loves my pooch, he helped me while working long hours. Taking her for walks. I’m training my dog to use the doggy door and he helped me with reminding her to go in and out of the doggie door! Successfully!!”

About: I have been fostering and adopting pets with my family since I was 6 years old. This includes mostly dogs/puppies as well as kittens/cats! Our house was constantly a zoo. I am a college student on summer break, so I am free all week every week!! I will be fully dedicated to caring for and entertaining my furry friends. I am able to safely take care of your pets and their health, as well as give them the love they need. My number one priority is making sure they are comfortable! I am very familiar with both cat and dog behaviors and can recognize their discomfort confidently.

“Trey did a wonderful job with our two dogs. We adopted our oldest dog when he was over a year old. He had suffered some trauma and has severe anxiety around men he does not know. While he has come a long way under our care, now at 4 years old it's still an issue he has. But Trey went above and beyond, visiting approximately four times before our trip departure to ensure that our Shaq would gain his trust. Our puppy absolutely loved Trey and his family right away, and we were able to travel with peace of mind knowing that our dogs would get their exercise on a daily basis. Trey also sent daily updates, pictures and short videos regarding each of their walks. Would hire him again. He did a great job!”

“This is our first time using Natalyia. We are so happy with her service. She walked our golden retriever, I was so surprised our golden really enjoyed his walks with her. He is a very anxious dog and it takes a lot to calm him . However we were surprised how quickly he got adjusted with her and was looking forward to his walks each and every time. Natalyia is very calm, patient and completely remove all his anxiety and fears.”

About: I have taken care of friends and neighbors pups for many years, and the only reason I don't have dogs of my own... is because of my two cats I am between jobs at this time, therefore I am very flexible with my time. In the long run will continue to work around it to make sure your pets are taken care of. I will not be able (at this time) to take care of pets overnight in my own home. “Great picures always reassures the owner how a dog behaves and enjoys. Alex arrives, consistently on time, does not make any assumptions and asks the right questions for any concerns regarding my dog. I am hastle free of any doubts or concerns when my dog is cared by Alex, as my dog hurdles past anything to reassure me what a great walk he just had!”

“Debbie is absolutely a gem! She was so open to walking Cuzco for me, he felt comfortable with her. She kept up in communication with me while I was away. She went above and beyond for him, and I’m so grateful!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Del Mar Heights
Jianxian (J) has been consistently walking my dog for about a month now and I am so happy I found her on Rover! My dog is very shy and nervous but she warmed up to J immediately. J is reliable and clearly loves dogs. I trust that she will take good care of my dog when taking her out. I highly recommend J!

Fernanda is on point from the start. We had not had a chance to properly make an introduction and her vibes and professionalism with dogs is immaculate. They got along very well from the beginning, and was most generous to help and assist. I was impressed how she could understand my dog very well from the first time meeting. Highly recommended!

Veronika did amazing job taking care of my two dogs, she was prompt and on time , very responsive, and dogs were very happy. I will be using Veronika for walking now all the time. She can also stay at my house next time I am out of town. I highly recommend Veronika’s services.
