When I cat sit at a friend’s house, I follow their routine as closely as possible so the cat feels safe and relaxed. I always let the cat greet me first (and get familiar with my scent) before starting anything. Then I do a quick wellness check—gently checking overall mood/energy and, if the cat is comfortable, giving a light pet along the back and belly. After that, I refresh food and water, clean and monitor the litter box, and give any medications or special diet items as needed. I spend quality time based on the cat’s personality—playtime, brushing, or quiet companionship for shy cats. I keep the home tidy and send daily updates with notes and photos, including anything I notice that seems different.

Information Jing L. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know the personality of your cat before visits. Are they playful or shy? Are they friendly or tend to be aggressive to strangers?
A typical day
For high-energy cats, I’ll do active play like “chase and run” with a wand toy or see if they are more into ball fetching. For low-energy or shy cats, I keep it simple and comforting: quiet company, gentle check-ins, and letting them set the boundary.

Pet care experience
I’m a HUGEEE cat lover. I adopted my fur baby Bobo from a small family-owned shelter in Baltimore. Ever since then, Bobo has traveled with me from Baltimore to New York, from west coast to the east, and we finally settled down in San Diego. Bobo is a loving lap cat and friendly to other cats as well. So cat boarding is welcome. Other than routine cat care, Bobo has developed UTI issues couple years ago, so I’m also comfortable giving medication, supporting hydration, monitoring litter box behavior closely, and following special diets. Since his first UTI five years ago, he hasn’t had a recurrence thanks to consistent, attentive care. I also have experience boarding and walking my friend’s medium-sized dog. Unfortunately as Bobo gets more sensitive on dogs, I’m not available for dog boarding service but I’m happy to walk your dogs.

Reviews

Jing was absolutely phenomenal! Very professional, caring, engaging with our pet, and always punctual. I highly recommend her for any service she advertises. I can’t say it enough, we absolutely appreciate, and will be using her again in the future.
We had an amazing experience with jing! They were incredibly loving, patient, and attentive, and it was clear they genuinely care about cats. They took the time to understand my cat’s personality and needs, sent thoughtful updates, and made sure my cat felt safe and comfortable the entire time. I came home to a happy, relaxed kitty, which says everything. I would absolutely book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter.
As Jing’s husband, I get to see every day how much she truly loves and cares for our cat, Bobo. She treats him like her own baby — making sure he’s fed on time, his litter box is always clean, and that he gets plenty of playtime and affection. She pays close attention to his moods and habits, and she always notices right away if something seems off, which gives me a lot of confidence in how responsible and attentive she is with pets. Whenever we travel, Jing is the one who worries the most about Bobo’s comfort and stress, and she goes out of her way to keep his routine as normal as possible. She talks to him, plays with him, and makes sure he never feels ignored. Bobo clearly adores her and follows her around the house, which honestly says everything. Jing has a very gentle, patient, and loving personality, and that naturally shows in how she treats animals. I would absolutely trust her to care for any cat as carefully and lovingly as she cares for Bobo, and I know she would treat every pet like part of her own family.
