This was our second time booking Jakob and he did not disappoint. Our pups were well cared for and very much looked forward to his visit. He even won over our shy guy and got him out of the house for good walks. Can’t wait to have him visit again!
Jake is fantastic! I would recommend him to anyone. He walked our very high spirited Golden, Ranger. He managed his pulling behaviors with love and our pup had no reservations leaving the house with him. Jake has a very good demeanor and you can tell he really loves dogs. He’s super reliable and good with communication. We will have him back as soon as we can!
Jacob, has a heart of gold. My 2 Jack Russell’s, don’t like anyone except family members, yet are so comfortable with him. He sends me updates and they are evidently having a great time.
Jacob was truly the best person that has ever taken care of my dogs. They are both older Jack Russells and the one is partially blind. Jacob accommodated my husband and I in every possible way. We were staying at L’auberge hotel and we went to the Del Mar racecourse. He picked the dogs up on schedule and delivered them in perfect condition. When they saw me, they weren’t really very excited, which is indicative of how happy they were. Jake loves animals and has lived around cats and dogs (and an occasional bird, gecko or hamster) his entire life. He is empathetic and attentive and will provide the care asked of him and go the extra mile to watch for problems or concerns. I have trusted him with creatures large and small and have always returned to happy animals and a complete report on how things went. Jake is great!
Jake is a loving, highly responsible young man, who loves animals. He’s very affectionate toward the five cats & three dogs his parents have. He stops to give attention to his neighbors’ pets as well. As a school teacher, his work focuses on students with learning disabilities, demonstrating his concern for & awareness of those who are more vulnerable in this world. As the oldest of five grown children, he’s close with all his siblings, looks out for them & stays in frequent touch with all of them. Jake is the reliable & compassionate person you want to take care of your pets.

Schedule
I work part-time, which gives me the flexibility to provide reliable, consistent care for your pet throughout the week. I’m typically available on weekdays for walks, drop-ins, and in-home sitting, with some evening and weekend availability as well. My schedule allows me to be responsive and present, so your pet gets the attention they deserve.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, secure environment and follow all care instructions carefully to make sure your pet feels at ease. I have experience with shy, anxious, and reactive pets, and I always take the time to build trust and work at their pace. I only care for one pet at a time (unless they’re from the same household), so your pet gets my full attention and care. You’ll receive regular updates and plenty of photos, so you can feel confident they’re safe, happy, and well looked after while you’re away.
A typical day
I love spending time outdoors, and your dog will get plenty of fresh air and activity with me! Whether it’s long walks, playtime at the park, or soaking up some San Diego sunshine, we’ll stay active and engaged. I enjoy tossing the tennis ball, going for on-leash runs, and exploring different dog parks around the city to keep things fun and stimulating for your pup.
