“Dan and Denise were great with Bailey! We received updates on how he was doing the whole time we were away. They really made us feel comfortable leaving bailey with them. He came back happy as ever. They took such great care of him?we will surely be back !”

“Trinity is wonderful! She was very accommodating when I had several changes in pickup/drop off time requests. She kept me updated and sent pictures throughout. I ended up bringing Jordy back for a second visit, and she was so excited to be back that she RAN to Trinity. I definitely recommend Trinity!!”

About: I absolutely adore all types of animals and have always been happiest when I’m around them. I have 17+ years of hands-on experience with both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. As a pet owner myself, I understand daily routines, behavior, and how to create a calm, structured environment where pets feel safe and comfortable. I take a patient and attentive approach, focusing on consistency, supervision, and positive interactions. I’m comfortable managing different energy levels, feeding schedules, and maintaining a clean, organized space. My goal is to provide dependable, stress-free care so your pet feels secure and well cared for while you’re away. I work from home, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m able to provide consistent supervision throughout the day, including regular potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and rest. Dogs are not left alone for long periods, and I maintain a structured routine to keep them comfortable and settled. I provide a clean, safe, and calm home environment where pets are closely supervised at all times. I keep a limited number of dogs to ensure each one gets individual attention and to maintain a low-stress setting. I pay close attention to behavior, body language, and interactions to ensure all pets are comfortable and safe. I can separate dogs if needed and will always follow your pet’s routine, feeding instructions, and any specific care needs.
“I can’t recommend Theresa enough. She was amazing with my puppy and had so much patience with him. She sends frequent updates & great pictures. I couldn’t have been happier with my experience. Thank you again!”

“Kerri has been the best sitter for our Tiller! With photos everyday while we were gone and easing my nerves along the way that he was having the BEST time with her dogs in the snow and also playing inside, We would definitely use her again!”

“Vish was great! She took excellent care of my dog Brooklyn and was very responsive and communicative. She sent plenty of updates and photos and Brooklyn was well cared for and happy! Will absolutely reach out to her the next time I need a dog sitter.”

“As someone who based their choice on reviews, I had to share one too. Jodie was terrific from the 1st communication which was so fast. We are very protective puppy parents and this wasn’t easy for us to leave our Sonny Boy. Jodie sent us pictures throughout Sonny’s stay and it was so great to see him happy with her. He loved his stay and will definitely be back! Thank you Jodie for your wonderful care! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Gerald did a great job with my senior foster, Pam. She deals with significant anxiety and back-leg pain, so I was nervous about leaving her in a new space with a stranger, but I had nothing to worry about. She settled in quickly and even felt comfortable enough to trick Gerald into getting off the couch so she could steal his spot. Although she’s usually reluctant to be active, she went on several walks with him. Gerald was also great about sending regular photos and updates, and very flexible when I ran late for pickup. Highly recommended for anyone with a senior or high-needs dog.”

“I cannot say enough good things about the care Freedom gave to my senior dog, Chunky. He’s an older dog with some anxiety issues, and Freedom handled him with so much patience, kindness, and calm energy. They went above and beyond. They took him to the dog park not once but twice, made homemade treats, and even gifted him a sweet new bandana. When I came home, I could tell Chunky had been genuinely happy and well cared for. It’s hard to find someone you trust with your pet, but I feel completely at ease leaving Chunky with Freedom anytime. I’m so thankful we found them, and I’ll absolutely be booking again.”

About: Hi there! I have spent many years of my life taking care of animals personally and professionally. I have been volunteering in animal shelters for 7 years, I work with 3 animal organizations helping animals get adopted and fostered, fostering many of them myself. I have had dogs ranging from 5lbs to 75+ Lbs. I also have had numerous cats throughout my life and understand the many personality and needs they have. I have a very flexible schedule professionally and would love to spend more of my free time being around animals I have a very flexible work schedule in which I schedule for myself weekly, giving me a lot of extra time daily as well as the ability to schedule and adjust around bookings. I have fostered both dogs and cats through the years, and currently have one cat now. I keep my home very clean and give my fur baby the most attention and love I can. I truly believe pets are part of the family

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Deer Park
Brenda was simply fantastic. We’re so lucky we found her. She took such wonderful care of our Bud. You can tell our pup was very happy with her and her dog Nilo which became fast friends almost immediately. Brenda was always letting us know how our pup was doing by sending pictures/videos and daily updates. We can tell he was a very happy dog when we picked him up in the end. We’re so happy with our decision to book with her and will be booking her again in the future. Thanks again Brenda.

Laurie and her family took amazing care of our dogs, Blue and Sky, overnight. They treated them like part of the family and kept us updated with pictures and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. We could tell our babies were happy, safe, and well loved. We highly recommend Laurie to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter!
Jamie is absolutely amazing!! She was an excellent care taker for our dog.. making sure to keep his meds on schedule... getting him to eat on a schedule when he normally doesnt (he's a grazer!) and allowing him priority position with her on the couch during the few moments of rest they both had. I got a regular stream of photos and check ins about my dog and never had a doubt he was in great hands. The only doubt I had was whether my dog was going to want to come home. She is so great with dogs and I know for sure we will be using her again in the future. Thank you for everything Jamie!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
