I have experience working with rescue organizations and offer foster care to animals requiring special attention. Currently in service dog training courses with my Australian Shepard.

She truly treats every pet as if they were her own, providing a genuine home away from home.Alexis has incredible patience and deep experience with animals of all temperaments. Whether your dog is shy, anxious, or full of energy, she knows exactly how to make them feel safe and loved. For high-spirited dogs, she has endless energy to run and play, but she also loves nothing more than settling down for a warm, cozy cuddle at the end of the day. If you want complete peace of mind while you are away, Alexis is the perfect choice!

Alexis is absolutely wonderful with dogs, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and trustworthy pet sitter. She has fostered a number of dogs for Paws of War, including dogs who needed extra patience, reassurance, and time to adjust to a new environment. Alexis consistently goes above and beyond to make each dog in her care feel safe, comfortable, and loved. She is attentive to their individual personalities and needs, incredibly patient, and genuinely invested in their well-being. We have always felt confident knowing that a dog placed with Alexis is in excellent hands. Her experience fostering rescue dogs has also given her a wonderful understanding of dogs with different backgrounds, temperaments, and comfort levels. She treats every animal as if they were her own and provides them with the kindness, structure, and affection they deserve. Alexis has fostered for a Rescue organization that I work with many times. I have seen firsthand the care and love. she and her son have shown these shut down rescue dogs. They did such a wonderful job rehabilitating them that they all became very adoptable and ended up in wonderful homes. I also have met her current dog who is very loving. I also have such faith in Alexis that I approved an adoption of one of our dogs to herr. . i have no doubt that she will be an amazing caregiver to anyone’s pet. She is a wonderful person and a great dog lover and caretaker!

Schedule
I work from home most days, so pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. I’m only away from home for about six hours on two days each week. Outside of work, I spend much of my time with my animals, gardening, and enjoying our little homestead—especially when the weather is nice!

I have a fully fenced yard plus a separate secured area for my chickens. My own dogs, cats, and chickens live here, but visiting pets are always supervised and safely separated when needed.

A typical day
A typical day includes feeding, fresh water, walks and outdoor play, bathroom breaks, and plenty of attention and affection. I work from home, so I’m able to provide frequent check-ins, companionship, and supervision throughout the day while keeping pets comfortable, safe, and happy.
