“Kristina did an amazing job cat sitting Squeaky! She gave great updates every day and I felt so comfortable and confident knowing Squeaky was in such good hands. Thank you so much!!”

About: Cozy area, lots of attention, run with dog, walk around yard, can meet my dogs! Lots of playtime, food & water, outside time. I’ve owned dogs for over 10 years in my family, I’ve dogsat before in a clients home for a week, whom was also a diabetic, so I had to also give insulin. I am a huge dog lover, and always love being around them. We can go to dog parks, take plenty of walks around the neighborhood, and have great treats! I hope to provide great hospitality for your dog or dogs, and have them enjoy their time just as much as I would be. By letting me watch your dogs, I will make sure we all have the best time together! **please ask about availability during the week as the options on here aren’t the best** I have a full time job during the week.. On weekdays I am usually available on Mondays after 6pm, Tuesdays after 5pm, and Fridays after 5pm! Weekends vary, I’ll do my best to keep my calendar updated! It depends on what the client wants me to do to care for them! Making sure they go to the bathroom, hanging out with them inside, taking them for a walk, etc. overall, I like to make sure the pet(s) are getting attention and being entertained.
About: I enjoy cats and dogs as I have had my own, currently pet sit for my roommates cats while she’s on vacation. Cuddle puddles are my favorite pastime Evenings and weekends are preferred, can be flexible. I can do drop ins anytime past 6pm on the weekdays and anytime on the weekends. Emergency calls can also be arranged. I care for pets by slowly introducing myself, first by smell then when comfortable, by touch. I give treats when warranted, but ensure no over feeding/snacking. Lastly I cuddle with pets who are most comfortable.

About: I have been caring for pets of various kinds for over 20 years. I have a spacious yard and house with room to play and snuggle and a child and 2 dogs who would love to give your pet attention. I’m currently on maternity leave for the next few months and home on the weekends so I am available and around to play all day and night. I have a fenced yard and 2 dogs of my own. A great neighbor with sidewalks for walking. I have an open concept spacious house but also have a separated finished basement space to use if needed/wanted.

About: I’ve been around animals since I was a child, whether they were family or friends or my own pets, I made sure to make myself available when they needed me. My experience includes dog sitting, dog walking and even taking care of medication. I’m currently finishing up college so I am available before and after my classes with any availability on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. When summer starts I will be working part-time at an internship so I will have continued availability that I will update as soon as I can. I have one dog and one cat living at home with me. They are both older now but I’ve had them since they were babies. I am responsible for both animals, for example cleaning up after both of them, feeding them, taking my dog out 3x a day.
“Lilian was an absolute joy to work with. My anxious staffy warmed up real quick and ended up having the least amount of stress ever while I was traveling. Lilian went above and beyond for my pup; reading stories, plenty of attention, and giving lots of love to make sure my pup was loved and cared for. Your furry friend will be in great hands!”

“Denise is gentle, sweet and soft spoken by nature. This is sensed easily by our cats, who normally shy away from visitors. Instead they come out to greet her and play with her. Most importantly, Denise is great at giving 1 of our cats her medicine via syringe. Very glad to have found her.”

About: I’m 46 years young. I have a great love for dogs. I myself have a morkie who I treat like my child. I would do the same for your pet as well. I would give your pet the attention and loving care it needs when you are away from home. I will play with your dog and give TLC. I will feed and give fresh water and I can give medication if needed. I understand how you as a parent are concerned for your animal as I am A dog mom as well. Rest assured your pet will not be neglected. This is not just a paycheck. I generally love being around pets as I am a big animal lover. Don’t hesitate to ask any questions ty
“Paulina was amazing! She was able to accommodate for a last minute request and she did such a great job! I would recommend her 100%, definitely going to be booking again!”

“Samantha is great with my dog. She’s reliable, attentive and easy to work with. My pup is always happy and relaxed after spending time with her. She communicates well, shows up on time and genuinely cares. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.”

About: Dog walking is something I love to do. I take my dog (a boisterous standard schnauzer with quite the mind of his own!) on a walk everyday and love to help others out by giving their pup some exercise! I know that all dogs are unique, so I will take great care to make sure that I follow any instructions given and make this a great experience for the dog. I am good at reading a dog’s body language and know techniques to help calm a dog down if it gets overstimulated and will take necessary steps to ensure the dog’s comfort. I also know my way around the neighborhood, and can take the pup to new and exciting places (within the owners comfort level of course!) so they have a great time! As a recent college graduate, I have a very flexible schedule with ample time to dedicate to taking care of pets. I usually do morning and evening walks (as to avoid too high temperatures) and throughout the day can provide general pet care. I have a large, fenced in yard that pups can run freely in with my own dog. There is also a pool that they can use (under strict supervision of course!) and they have free access to all areas inside the house. We are also conscientious about making sure there are no dangerous things lying around (eg. socks, small items) that the dog can get to.

About: I’ve cared for animals almost my entire life and have experience with cats, dogs, kittens, senior pets, and high-energy breeds. As a multi-cat household owner myself, I understand how important it is to have someone patient, dependable, and attentive caring for your pets while you’re away. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, medications, litter maintenance, walks, playtime, enrichment, and giving pets the love and attention they need to feel safe and comfortable. I genuinely treat every animal like family and know how stressful it can be leaving them with someone new. I’m especially experienced with cats and understand different personalities, from shy and anxious pets to energetic attention-seekers. I work from home, with a very flexible daily schedule. I’m available virtually anytime throughout the day & night, as well as weekends. I understand animals all have different schedules and the importance of keeping to their routines. When caring for your pets I will be sure to follow any & all instructions so they stay on their daily routine while you’re away. I have a safe, fenced in, large backyard with plenty of room for daily activities.

About: I’ve had a special love for animals that started at a young age. For years, friends and family have trusted me to feed, walk, and care for their pets while giving them plenty of love and attention. I currently have four dogs and a parrot, and I’m very comfortable caring for pets of different personalities and needs. I also previously worked at an emergency veterinary hospital as a receptionist, where I learned a lot about pet health, behavior, and the importance of following care instructions closely. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs, and I always treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care is already a big part of my daily life. I care for my own dogs every day, so feeding, walks, playtime, and routines are second nature to me. I plan my schedule to allow time for drop-in visits and make sure each pet gets my full attention during our time together. I’m reliable, organized, and flexible, and I treat every visit as a priority, not something rushed or squeezed in. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and carefully follow all instructions provided. I make sure pets stay on their usual routines, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any medication schedules. I give them plenty of attention and affection to help them feel comfortable while their owner is away. I also keep the home tidy and provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Deer Park
Time and time again Maya has gone above and beyond to meet her client's needs. I had an unexpected 10+ day hospital stay. I called Maya that day and she accommodated all my needs. My cats adore her. She sends videos/pics/updates. Because of Maya, my hospital stay was less stressful knowing my babies were being cared for. She's so reliable, professional and truly cares about the pets she takes on. Thank you from the bottom of my ❤️

Simone was so helpful and reliable! Our cats loved her from the start. She sent great pictures of our cats and we could tell they were in great hands. So grateful for her excellent ability with animals!! We hope she will be available for future drop in visits for our cats. Thank you so much!

Caroline did an amazing job with our cat! Over the course of our vacation, she made it her duty to keep us informed, reassure us with pictures, and as a bonus she maintained the tidiness of our home. Would definitely recommend her services and choose her again as a sitter in the future. Thank you for taking care of our precious cat Caroline!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Deer Park. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
