Tallulah's Pet Camp of Long Island

My name is Pam and I have had dogs, cats and horses all my life, up until my Tallulah passed in January 2015. Tallulah's Pet Camp is an homage to her and all my other fur-babies who have brought so much happiness into my life. This Pet Camp enables me to give and receive that fur baby love that is so much a part of who I am and so much a part of what feeds my soul. The Campers feel it too I think, as pet parents always tell me how great they look, how happy they are and thankfully, bring them back. We do not discriminate against any pup, ever! It's not what kind they are, it's who they are...much like people. I work from home, so we are able to spend ample time outdoors. Inside or out, we are always together. I have recently relocated to Bay Shore from Northport to a bigger property with a huge fenced yard. My campers who followed me down here love it. Hopefully your pup will too! Young and Hyper…no problem! Older and in need of assistance…no problem!! Rescues...I consider them a specialty!! Recovering from surgery or just a handful in general…no problem!! I love all fur babies and they bring me so much joy in return! Will play, brush, feed, give meds, give lots and lots of cuddles- whatever your needs, you can feel confident they will be met! I get my fur baby fix and you will receive constant photos (unless you prefer not to) showing you what they are doing and just how happy they are...I aim to be your furry family member's "Next best thing to home." I am an independent consultant servicing clients I have had for decades. Usually no more than 7 hours week which I can schedule whenever convenient. Usually at night. I have a fenced yard, a helper who walks property looking for any digging by fence. They are never left alone either inside or out.

My pups are new to doggy daycare but Pam was attentive and made sure they adjusted accordingly. I’m sure we’ll be back of she’ll have us!

Pamela is a true animal lover which makes me very comfortable leaving my dog with her. She kept us updated all day. Have used Pamela a few times and will definitely be using her again.

Pam was a great camp (dog) leader for our 2 pups! She was excellent in the pre-petting sitting communication! 5 Star in getting us prepared and understanding our needs. Highly recommend her and our dogs were well cared for!

Pets

A typical day

They are outside most of the day, weather permitting. If they are not chasing each other around we are playing fetch with the ball, throwing frisbees and of course cuddling.

16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
Spayed and neutered dogs only
No females in heat
Pamela can host up to 7 pets per night
First off, I do not host aggressive dogs. If a dog turns during a stay they go into their own room, get outside time and attention but are not allowed in general population and no longer allowed at camp. I want to know what behavioral issues they have so I can placate what they need or run interference if necessary. If a bit scared I will spend one on one time so we bond and they have a safe place. I have been very lucky to have relationships with trainers who have taught me how to deal/stop/prevent many issues
