“Jiajie was SUPBERB! She gave outstanding care to our puppy! Our puppy had a fantastic time with her (and her sweet dogs). Her communication, while we traveled overseas, was top-notch!!! She was beyond the best- highly highly highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again!”

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs at all stages of their lives! From birth to old age, I have bottle-fed and waned puppies, kitten sat, as well as administered insulin shots and oral medications to older cats and dogs. One of my kitties now also takes an oral pill twice daily, so I also have some experience giving cats pills :). I am a full-time student who just moved to Davis! I have a flexible schedule, meaning maintaining strict feeding or medication times should be no problem! I make sure all water sources are clean and replaced regularly, food bowls and cans are rinsed/washed immediately to avoid lingering smells, and do a quick walk-through of the pets' spaces to make sure your fur baby(s) didn't get into things they weren't supposed to. I also love plants, so in my own home, i keep them watered and check regularly for if there are new chomps in them and would be very happy to do the same for you if that is at all a concern :). And, of course, I offer plenty of play time with the kitties!
“Marissa was awesome with our anxious dog, Toby! She gave us great updates with pictures and I could tell he was having a great time with her. He got plenty of walks and snuggles! She also left our house so clean. We are so glad to have found Marissa - she’s very genuine and caring and we are looking forward to having her watch Toby again!”

“Cat is always amazing with our dog Vito. Vito can be stubborn when meeting new people at times, but Cat is great. She takes great care of Vito, is extremely thoughtful, and goes above and beyond. We really appreciate all the photos as well! She is our go-to sitter!”

“Mary was amazing! She made us feel so comfortable leaving our dog with her (our first time leaving him with someone besides family). She sent adorable photos throughout the week. She communicated with us prior to, during and after the house sitting. I think our dog Zac wanted to go home with her! We will definitely call Mary again. So glad we found her! Kathy & Brian & Zac”

“Alyssa is great. I can always trust her to take care of my senior chihuahua. If you’re looking for someone reliable and trustworthy with your special doggos, I highly recommend her”

“Suhani is such a wonderful person. She was active with our two dogs, walking them daily and was flexible and helpful when our travel plans got delayed. We came home to a clean house and she navigated our backyard project, sending us updates all the while dealing with not having a yard for the dogs to go out in. I highly recommend Suani, though we’d like to keep her for ourselves.”

“Esmerilda is a fantastic. She made sure she knew our needs and our lab's routine before we left -- and kept us updated throughout our trip. Our very active dog was thrilled to have Esmerilda take care of her, and we look forward to having her help us again in the future. Highest recommendations!”

About: I've pet-sat for friends and neighbors since I was 12. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, dietary restrictions, and health complications. I have owned all types of pets from small hamsters and mice, to turtles and fish, rabbits, and dogs. I am also an avid plant person and love to care and nurture my plant babies just as much as I do my pets. I have extended gaps in between work projects and am available to walk and play with your pets, or just hang out at home with them! When working I am available for overnight stays, early mornings, or after 5 pm on weekdays. My weekends are flexible and I will work hard to make my schedule revolve around your pets needs. When I'm not working my schedule is devoted to you and your pets and I am available weekdays and weekends. I will treat your pets like they're my own! I am also willing to do other house sitting tasks such as care for plants and smaller animals in the home. Let me know what you need me to do to keep your home running smoothly while you are away.
“Chrissy was an awesome house sitter for our energetic, 1-year-old golden/husky mix! She gave regular updates and kept him entertained. Would definitely book again and recommend!”

About: I have a wide range of dog experience. Puppies, seniors, reactive, and medicated ones. I am fear free certified and have taken many animal classes and animal behavior classes for my animal science major. Outside of a classroom setting I have worked in a shelter where I was a medical volunteer. This required me to work with dogs that I had no insight to a lot of the dog’s background and always stayed aware of their behavior. A lot of the bigger dogs I worked with were abused, abandoned, or injured and having to work with animals that have trauma like that is heartbreaking but also can affect their behavior towards people. That being said I had to work with dogs that were more challenging and more often than not were labeled aggressive but were actually just scared. I have house sat friends and families before and always send an absurd amount of photos to owners of their fur baby (that’s at least what I prefer) and I have no problem communicating any uncertainties, questions, or concerns to an owner. I would rather be safe than sorry always. I do not have a lot of senior care experience but would love to learn. I took care of a few cases where there were medications twice daily but I know there are more extreme senior care situations I won’t pretend to know how to do but I am eager to do my research and learn from the owner! Fairly flexible. I am a student and barista. My barista job is part time with the average shift lasting around 4 hours and the absolute most I could be scheduled for is 7hrs but that rarely happens. It is also a flexible job where I can get easy covers if needed or swap shifts. I take the better safe than sorry approach when caring for any pet whether it is someone else’s or my own. I will do my research on something I am unsure about which is the reason I have learned so much about my own pet’s compromised immune system. This is why I will not be housing any pets myself but I have practiced many different bio security measures and feel confident all animals will be safe and happy. I am a big communicator and if I have concerns questions or uncertainties I will not hesitate to just ask.
“Dianne house sat for my energetic pitbull, who has some anxiety/prey drive/reactivity behavioral challenges. She took good care of her and let me know things were going well. Thanks Dianne!”

Covell Park pet parents share their Rover experiences
Nora was amazing with my two pitties! They are still working on some of their manners and have some weird quirks but Nora seemed to handle them perfectly and sent lots of pictures of them snuggling and hanging out which I love to see when I’m away. I felt comfortable that they were in good hands and will definitely be booking with her again in the future :)

Our dog and cat were very happy when we returned and Ally was a great housesitter for a few nites. She got the animals out during the day and spent time cuddling them at night. The house was as tidy when we returned as when we left. She was attentive to our dogs needs for walks, even in wet weather, and sent us photos. Thank you Ally!
Mary was amazing! Kathy & Brian & Zac

Great cat sitter from start to finish. Nayzeth followed all instructions perfectly, provided consistent updates, and clearly understands cat behavior as she does have 2 of her own. Boots, who is usually shy, warmed up quickly, which says a lot and everything was neat and tidy when I returned.

Nikki is amazing - she had an injury and still was willing to housesit and dog sit for our two sensitive dogs. Her communication is excellent, our house is in impeccable, and most importantly, our dogs are happy and healthy. Thank you, Nikki, for being such an amazing dogsitter!

This was the second time Carey house sat for us and took care of our puppy dog Lily. She is absolutely amazing with Lily. She makes it so easy to be away on a trip/mini vacation without worry or stress knowing that my dog and house are being taken care of. We are so thankful we found her. I highly recommend her.
