About: I absolutely love all pets! I spent this past summer volunteering as a dog socializer and walker at Pets Lifeline Animal Shelter. I am comfortable around all dogs, all energy levels, I understand their body language, and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your animal. I will dedicate my time to loving them and prioritizing your routine. I also have a pup of my own, a pug, who loves to get out of the house and is always curious! As a UC Davis student, I plan my schedule carefully to make time for pet care throughout the week. About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life, as well as all sorts of other animals. I watch my sisters dogs on a weekly basis, and love to help others! I’m a fan of medium to large dogs, and I’m on time, with reliable transportation. I will treat your fur-baby with the same amount of love that I do mine! I’m currently taking a break from regular work, looking to babysit and pet sit for a few months to bring some joy into my life! I’m available weekdays anytime, and Sundays from 1pm into the night. Some Saturdays, can be flexible. I keep my home clean and well maintained. I open feed my own cats, and spend time with them whenever possible. I like to clean my littler boxes every day, and when I had a dog of my own, I would walk her 4-5 times a day, and play with her all the time. I love training, and engaging with animals. About: I have cared for a wide range of animals since my childhood on a small family farm. I have bottle fed kittens to goats, trained puppies to ducks, and cared for little piglets to senior dogs. I also have some experience with medical procedures with dogs and cats, to farm animals. Experience with cats with diabetes, pets with blindness, deafness, and immobility. I enjoy caring for animals of all shapes and sizes and good care and enrichment is always my top priority! I like to check on my animals and animals I’m caring for a minimum of 3 times a day for 30 minutes each. With cats I like to spend time playing, setting up enrichment activities, and learning how they are most comfortable. With dogs I like to do a minimum of 3 walks a day followed by some of their favorite activities. I believe pets should be checked on morning, afternoon and evening at minimum. I like to follow the routine of the pets parents to a T so as to not disturb the pets while their families are gone. I think having a routine is important for a pet especially when their people/family are gone.
About: I am a 4th year animal science major who Grew up on a farm taking care of all animals from cattle and horses to dogs and cats! I’ve also worked at a vet clinic for 4 years. I am currently working at the uc Davis equestrian center and a student at uc Davis! I have a very flexible work schedule and can work around classes. About: I have owned dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes since I was born. Now, I have worked as a vet assistant for 6 years in both general practice and oncology. I have helped with emergencies for all kinds of breeds and done overnight care several times. I also work and volunteer at shelters consistently so I know how to deal with animal stress. I have never met an animal I didn't love no matter its personality and demeanor so I know they are in good hands. I am a college student but have gaps in my day to go back to my apartment and take them out. I would never leave a pet at home for more than 2 hours and live with just my fiance and I also well equipped in pet care, but I will be doing the caregiving. I love every furry friend and it would be a joy rather than a chore to help care for each pet. I am well versed in medication administration, feeding, playtime, small training activities, and more. Marissa watched our two dogs and 8 frogs for our wedding weekend. This was our first time leaving them with a stranger, so we were a little nervous. The dogs can be a little ornery, one of them takes daily meds, and not many people have experience with frogs. We set up a meet and greet and several day time visits leading up to the weekend so everyone could get to know each other. By the time we left them, I was confident Marissa could handle both the dogs and the frogs. Everything went smoothly!
Ly was wonderful with Mochi! 🤍 She took such great care of him, accommodated his schedule, and even went the extra mile to introduce a new game to play with him. We really appreciate all the love, attention, and care she gave him. Mochi seemed happy to spend time with her, which gave us so much peace of mind. Highly recommend Ly to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet with genuine love and care!
Jordan was wonderful! He helped us at the last minute and took care of our two Labs at our home. He followed directions and kept our home clean. One of our Labs is a challenge sometimes but Jordan took the time to figure him out and they became friends! Thank you Jordan!
Kelly was so fantastic with our dog all weekend. She made sure our little 60 lb girl went on fun news adventures while also getting needed downtime at home, and had excellent communication throughout. Our dog gets a little anxious under new circumstances but seemed right at home with Kelly.
Faith took car of my pups for a week. One is an older lady on a kidney diet with meds. Another still had the young pup energy. Faith did a great job with the feeding and meds. Our older dog can be more difficult to get to eat. Faith also housesat and helped with some house plants. At the meet and greet, she was thorough with her questions, which I appreciated because I did not think of everything at the time. I would definitely hire her again to watch my dogs or housesit.
Esmerilda was great. I have a senior cat that requires an asthma inhaler twice a day and a dog with an injury that requires management and medication and she took great care of them both. She sent frequent photos throughout the day of them both. She was well equipped to ensure the medication protocol was followed for both pets! I would recommend her and book her again :)
Jenna did an excellent job caring for our Great Pyr and an elderly cat with special needs while we were away. She even dealt with an escaped chicken and an ant problem and the house was left better than she found it. We appreciated how communicative she was and felt like our animals were well taken care of.
Jenny is an outstanding pet sitter! She housesat and watched our dog for a week and she made it so easy for us to relax knowing she holding down the fort at home. She sent us detailed daily messages and photos of our pup and she seemed to get our reactive dog and what she needed right away. She took her on nice long walks and we felt confident in her ability to handle the pulling and barking that usually ensues. Jenny was also so great about remembering every little detail about caring for the house and confirmed with us when packages were brought it, garbage cans taken out to the street, etc. Most of all, she seemed to really gain the trust of our dog and we could see from the pictures and videos that she sent that our dog not only became comfortable with Jenny, she seemed to be having fun, looking happy and cuddling up with her new bud. We really could not have asked for a better sitter and would highly recommend Jenny to anyone looking for a trustworthy, highly competent, communicative sitter.
Rachel's open communication was great. She was upfront with her schedule. There was a misunderstanding due to a booking error in my part, but she remained open to adjusting the booking and doing a meet and greet. I have one senior dog that requires medication and kidney diet. Rachel was able to keep meds and feeding up for us during a trip.
Liz communicated daily about Anika’s routines. She followed the directions for both dog and house care to the “T”. She touched base about her arrival and departure at the beginning and ending of her stay, making the transition for Anika seamless. I certainly would recommend Liz for anyone who needs a person to stay in their home to care for pets!
Mira watched our energetic rottweiler and cats for 2 weeks and did great. She is very sweet and gave me the confidence to leave my house and all my animals, despite having some negative pet sitter experiences in the past. She was quick to respond to my questions, easy to communicate with and asked smart questions. When our senior cat had several urinary accidents in the house, she notified me right away and dealt with it. The house looked tidy and cared for when I arrived home and all my animals were happy. I'd definitely recommend Mira.
