About: Coming from a family of dog lovers, it's hard to imagine a life without dogs! I have always had multiple dogs running under my roof and even have two dogs with me at college! With both a neurotic labradoodle and an elderly beagle, I have plenty of experience dealing with a wide variety of behaviors :) I would love to befriend your furry family members! Available full time during the week. I am between clients at my full time job and will be out of work for several weeks (so I am looking to fill my free time :) ) I am experienced with a wide variety of dog behaviors, especially neurotic and elderly pets. I am also comfortable with administering medicine if needed!! (pills, ear flushes, etc)
“Rachel was great! We have a Saint Bernard and 2 cats and they loved her. She sent us photos while we on vacation and gave us regular updates. This was the first time we have left our pets with anyone, and Rachel was very respectful of our pets and our space. We were very apprehensive about hiring a random person to care for our pets, but the second we met Rachel we were put at ease. Rachel asked us questions about the care of our pets that we hadn't thought about, which gave us the confidence that she knows what she doing. She is amazing and we will definitely rebook with her.”

“Mary was amazing! She made us feel so comfortable leaving our dog with her (our first time leaving him with someone besides family). She sent adorable photos throughout the week. She communicated with us prior to, during and after the house sitting. I think our dog Zac wanted to go home with her! We will definitely call Mary again. So glad we found her! Kathy & Brian & Zac”

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs at all stages of their lives! From birth to old age, I have bottle-fed and waned puppies, kitten sat, as well as administered insulin shots and oral medications to older cats and dogs. One of my kitties now also takes an oral pill twice daily, so I also have some experience giving cats pills :). I am a full-time student who just moved to Davis! I have a flexible schedule, meaning maintaining strict feeding or medication times should be no problem! I make sure all water sources are clean and replaced regularly, food bowls and cans are rinsed/washed immediately to avoid lingering smells, and do a quick walk-through of the pets' spaces to make sure your fur baby(s) didn't get into things they weren't supposed to. I also love plants, so in my own home, i keep them watered and check regularly for if there are new chomps in them and would be very happy to do the same for you if that is at all a concern :). And, of course, I offer plenty of play time with the kitties!
“Jaimie was a very responsible and responsive overnight dog sitter. She followed all of the instructions and sent lots of pictures and videos to keep me up to date on what was happening on the home front. I recommend her to anyone who’s looking for pet care!”

“Cat is an AMAZING pet sitter. When you first meet her you know right away that she will take good care of your pet. I loved her attitude and attention to detail. She is very warm and friendly and our pup knew that too. When we got back home from our trips we returned to a happy and relaxed pup - he will be 15 this year!!!”

“We were very pleased with Nora. She took excellent care of our two pups and sent lots of photos to keep us up to date on how they were doing. She stayed in our home and left it spotless. We will definitely use her again in the future.”

“Marissa was both professional and easy going, the perfect combination for a 2-week home stay with our cat and dog. I picked Marissa due to her experience in vet school since we have a senior dog. After our initial meet and greet, I knew she'd be a good fit. Marissa sent updates and photos but we also felt the freedom to focus on our trip knowing our pets were in good hands.”

About: I have a wide range of dog experience. Puppies, seniors, reactive, and medicated ones. I am fear free certified and have taken many animal classes and animal behavior classes for my animal science major. Outside of a classroom setting I have worked in a shelter where I was a medical volunteer. This required me to work with dogs that I had no insight to a lot of the dog’s background and always stayed aware of their behavior. A lot of the bigger dogs I worked with were abused, abandoned, or injured and having to work with animals that have trauma like that is heartbreaking but also can affect their behavior towards people. That being said I had to work with dogs that were more challenging and more often than not were labeled aggressive but were actually just scared. I have house sat friends and families before and always send an absurd amount of photos to owners of their fur baby (that’s at least what I prefer) and I have no problem communicating any uncertainties, questions, or concerns to an owner. I would rather be safe than sorry always. I do not have a lot of senior care experience but would love to learn. I took care of a few cases where there were medications twice daily but I know there are more extreme senior care situations I won’t pretend to know how to do but I am eager to do my research and learn from the owner! Fairly flexible. I am a student and barista. My barista job is part time with the average shift lasting around 4 hours and the absolute most I could be scheduled for is 7hrs but that rarely happens. It is also a flexible job where I can get easy covers if needed or swap shifts. I take the better safe than sorry approach when caring for any pet whether it is someone else’s or my own. I will do my research on something I am unsure about which is the reason I have learned so much about my own pet’s compromised immune system. This is why I will not be housing any pets myself but I have practiced many different bio security measures and feel confident all animals will be safe and happy. I am a big communicator and if I have concerns questions or uncertainties I will not hesitate to just ask.
“Alyssa is great. I can always trust her to take care of my senior chihuahua. If you’re looking for someone reliable and trustworthy with your special doggos, I highly recommend her”

“Suhani was great with my crew! She was communicative, made sure to give me consistent updates and the dogs were happy and well cared for when I returned. I highly recommend her.”

“Chrissy accepted a very last minute request to watch two of my dogs. She took time to do the meet and greet even though it was last minute. Chrissy was wonderful and will definitely recommend. You can tell she has a love of animals and that shows in how she cared for them. She communicated often and send lots of pics while we were away. Thank you Chrissy!”

“Esmerilda took excellent care of our girl who can be a little shy. She arrived exactly in time and sent frequent updates and pictures during the evening. We will definately contact Esmerilda when we need help again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, rabbits, and bearded dragons since I was 12 years old. I truly love animals and enjoy spending time with them whether that means playing, going on walks, or just sitting with them and keeping them company if they’re a little shy. I’m very patient and take time to earn each pet’s trust and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m experienced with feeding, walking, cleaning, and following specific routines or instructions. I treat every pet like my own and always prioritize their happiness, safety, and well-being while their owners are away. I’m currently working part-time between classes, but I’m very available to take care of your pets! I have full availability on the weekends, any day before 10am, and after 3pm Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays! Need a different time/availability? Just let me know and I can usually work something out, my schedule can be very flexible! I’m not able to host pets in my own home, but I’m happy to provide care in my client’s home where pets are most comfortable and familiar. I follow each pet’s normal routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and any special instructions. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship, and I take time to build trust with shy or nervous animals. I always keep the home clean and secure, respect house rules, and send photo and text updates so owners can feel at ease while they’re away.
“Diane was wonderful! Desto loved her immediately and had so much fun with Diane while I was gone. She provided plenty of photos and updates which was great to see. I would recommend Diane to anyone looking for a responsible and caring individual to care for their pets. I will definitely be using her services again!”

North Davis Farms pet parents share their Rover experiences
Nora was amazing with my two pitties! They are still working on some of their manners and have some weird quirks but Nora seemed to handle them perfectly and sent lots of pictures of them snuggling and hanging out which I love to see when I’m away. I felt comfortable that they were in good hands and will definitely be booking with her again in the future :)

Our dog and cat were very happy when we returned and Ally was a great housesitter for a few nites. She got the animals out during the day and spent time cuddling them at night. The house was as tidy when we returned as when we left. She was attentive to our dogs needs for walks, even in wet weather, and sent us photos. Thank you Ally!
Mary was amazing! Kathy & Brian & Zac

Great cat sitter from start to finish. Nayzeth followed all instructions perfectly, provided consistent updates, and clearly understands cat behavior as she does have 2 of her own. Boots, who is usually shy, warmed up quickly, which says a lot and everything was neat and tidy when I returned.

Nikki is amazing - she had an injury and still was willing to housesit and dog sit for our two sensitive dogs. Her communication is excellent, our house is in impeccable, and most importantly, our dogs are happy and healthy. Thank you, Nikki, for being such an amazing dogsitter!

This was the second time Carey house sat for us and took care of our puppy dog Lily. She is absolutely amazing with Lily. She makes it so easy to be away on a trip/mini vacation without worry or stress knowing that my dog and house are being taken care of. We are so thankful we found her. I highly recommend her.
