“Audrey was incredibly communicative in specialized instructions for my anxious dog! She was very caring of all the pets, and I would absolutely recommend her for any pet sitting services.”

“Rachel was great! We have a Saint Bernard and 2 cats and they loved her. She sent us photos while we on vacation and gave us regular updates. This was the first time we have left our pets with anyone, and Rachel was very respectful of our pets and our space. We were very apprehensive about hiring a random person to care for our pets, but the second we met Rachel we were put at ease. Rachel asked us questions about the care of our pets that we hadn't thought about, which gave us the confidence that she knows what she doing. She is amazing and we will definitely rebook with her.”

“Alyssa is great. I can always trust her to take care of my senior chihuahua. If you’re looking for someone reliable and trustworthy with your special doggos, I highly recommend her”

About: A former UC Davis graduate. I’ve taken care of dogs all my life. I’m a dependable and attentive pet sitter who focuses on creating a calm, low-stress experience tailored to each animal’s personality and routine. I’m especially skilled at reading behavior cues, helping shy or anxious pets feel comfortable, and maintaining consistency with feeding, cleaning, and enrichment. My background in structured, fast-paced environments has made me highly organized and reliable, so pet owners can trust that every detail will be handled with care and responsibility I’m currently free during the work week most times of the day. I also have availability on weekends on a need to need basis. I’m ready and willing to spend as much time as your pets need. I wouldn’t be able to take care of pets in my own home but can do whatever is needed in their homes. I am good at providing structured resting time as well as play and can provide support with any trailing being done in the home

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for many types of dogs, and it has always been more of a passion than a job. I will always care for and love your dog like one of my own! I currently work part-time and am available daily in the afternoons (after about 1 PM) for check-ins, walks, feedings, and more. My schedule is flexible in the early mornings, evenings, and on weekends. I am very detail-oriented and attentive to each pet’s unique needs. I make sure they are well cared for and receive plenty of love and attention. I approach every dog with a calm demeanor, moving at a pace that feels comfortable for them so they can feel safe, relaxed, and at ease in my care.
“Nicole was wonderful with our Aldo!!! She is a true dog lover and cared for him as if he was her own. She was also extremely flexible, when we had to ask her to come 6 hours earlier than the original scheduled start time!! Nicole made sure our boy had fun, got his allergy medication, and stayed busy to keep him from missing us too much which we so appreciate!! We will 100% be booking Nicole again ??”

About: Are you a professional traveling for work or vacation? Do you need a house sitter who follows instructions with the same precision used in a lab? I am a PhD microbiologist and former UC Davis postdoctoral researcher, currently transitioning from academic research to state policy work. I have experience with taking care of my own pets, taking care of others' pets, and following precise protocols for taking safe, kind, and meticulous care of research animals as diverse as squid and cattle. While navigating the state hiring timeline, I am offering premium house/pet sitting services for clients who value maturity, reliability, and absolute adherence to their home routines. What do I offer? - The "Adult" Standard: I am a professional in my 30s. I do not throw parties. I do not invite guests. I do not treat your home like a dorm. It remains a sanctuary. - Protocol-Driven Care: My background is in the lab, not the clinic. I don't guess at animal psychology, but I follow your care protocols exactly. Medication schedules, dietary measurements, and security routines are executed precisely as written. - Cleanliness & Respect: I am trained to leave a workspace cleaner than I found it. Your home will be maintained to a high standard of order and hygiene. - Privacy Firewall: As a professional in transition, I offer a level of privacy that your students or subordinates cannot. Your personal life remains completely separate from your professional hierarchy. Logistics: - References: Current Landlord (vouching for impeccable property care) + Professional References. - Availability: I housesit a maximum of two weeks per month. - Animals I Will Sit: Adult and senior dogs, small non-venomous/poisonous animals (both mammals and reptiles - non-venomous snakes < 4 feet in length ok!), and aquatics only. For aquatics especially, please prepare a care sheet with the number and species (with scientific names if you know them) of all animals in the tank(s) and required physicochemical parameters for each tank, in addition to health information and feeding schedules. No cats may be present in the home (I am allergic). - Behavioral Requirements: Your dog must be fully housetrained and preferably also trained to follow some basic commands ("sit", "stay", "come"). I do not accept dogs with severe separation anxiety, constant barking, aggression towards humans, or destructive tendencies. I do not accept small animals/aquatics with aggression towards humans or destructive tendencies. - Other requirements: I am a working professional. Your home must have reliable high-speed Wi-Fi and a quiet place to sit and work while I housesit/watch your pet. If I am staying in your home, for my safety and security, I require that no other humans other than you come over for the duration. I work remotely full-time as a policy consultant, meaning my schedule is highly flexible and I can be present in the home for the majority of the day. I maintain a quiet, predictable, and focused daily routine. Because my work is entirely remote, your pets will have consistent companionship, and their specific feeding, walking, and medication schedules will be executed exactly as you prescribe them. My background as a laboratory scientist means I operate with an exacting standard of cleanliness, precision, and respect for established protocols. Your home is treated as a secure, private environment. I do not invite guests over, I maintain a strict privacy firewall, and I ensure all home security and maintenance routines are followed to the letter. My goal is to leave your home cleaner than I found it, providing clear, reliable updates (including photo and video) so you can travel with absolute peace of mind.
“Chrissy accepted our booking the day before and we were extremely grateful. She asked questions ensuring she had the proper instructions to care for Stark. We received updates & pictures throughout the care. She was very flexible with our schedules. We’ll definitely be booking again in the future!”

About: I have always taken care of pets since I was little ranging from cats and dogs to reptiles to any pet not a person that needed to take care of that near me. I only have two in person classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and other than that I am free no other job except school right now :) I have always taken care of my family’s pet, especially my sisters which her house consist of a golden retriever and a poodle and a Chihuahua. The poodle is very very old and she is an elderly dog, so she’s blind and has arthritis and going to deaf, so I was always used to cleaning up and guided her to the restroom or her food and still focusing on the other pets, giving everyone the proper love and care at the exact same time.
“Suhani stayed in our home and cared for our two dogs while we traveled. She's friendly, professional, and great with dogs. She's clearly an experienced dog owner and I really appreciated her consistent check-ins. She took excellent care of our dogs and we won't hesitate to hire her again!”
About: I’ve been training and loving my dog, Rocky, since he was a puppy. He has taught me a lot about what is required to care for a pet. I also interned at a vet hospital in high school which gave me an opportunity to interact with many dogs and cats in a space where most of them were scared so I enjoyed comforting them. Although I can’t preform surgery on your pet, I can show them the care they deserve. As a college student my schedule changes often. For now I am most free, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays after 12pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays I get home a little after 4pm. Weekends I am usually free unless I go home to visit family. I live in an apartment but it has a small fenced yard where your dog could unwind and go potty whenever they need to. If given the opportunity to care for your pet I would also ensure daily walks and other activities for enrichment. There are no other pets in my apartment right now since my dog is living with my parents, so that will give me the chance to focus my attention and energy on your pet!

About: I grew up with dogs my entire life and I have no problem giving them all of the attention they need! I also had a dog walking business in high school that gave me a lot more experience with other dogs! In high school I was also in FFA, giving me even more experience with dogs and even bunnies. As for kitties I have recently had a lot more experience with them and would be happy to give them any amount of love they are willing to accept 😊 I am a full time student, but all of my classes are from 8-12pm so I have a lot of availability throughout the afternoon, evening, and especially weekends! Having some furry friends after classes also sounds wonderful and honestly relieving in some ways so I am happy to help. I would care for your pets by making sure I am cleaning up behind them and keeping them well fed. I am more than happy to follow your specific dietary guidelines and want to do everything I can you make sure your pets feel loved while you're away! That includes giving them some pets and taking them on walks!
“Nora did a great job with our older corgi, who can be difficult and has mobility issues. He was happy and relaxed when we returned. She went above and beyond helping us out. We will rely on Nora in the future.”

About: What sets me apart is as a pre-vet student, my clinical experience working in a veterinary setting, where I assisted in vaccine clinics and gained hands-on exposure to animal handling and care. This experience taught me how to safely and calmly work with animals of different temperaments, including those who may be nervous or stressed. I also have over 10 years of experience with a variety of species including dogs, cats, cows, goats, pigs, chickens and birds. I am happy and open to take care of all animals. I’m attentive to detail and able to recognize changes in behavior, appetite, or energy that could indicate a problem. While I provide loving and reliable care, I also bring a level of awareness and responsibility that comes from working in a clinical environment. I’m comfortable following specific care instructions and making sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Beyond that, I truly enjoy spending time with animals and make an effort to build trust and give them the attention and affection they need. Afterall, it's all I want to do as I pursue my dreams to becoming a Veterinarian :) I have a very flexible schedule, I am available every day, including weekends, with the exception of Tuesdays and Thursdays when I have classes. I make sure to plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for so they receive plenty of time, attention, and exercise. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions to maintain their normal routine, environment, and feeding schedule to reduce stress. I always ensure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, and I closely supervise pets during walks and playtime. I create a calm, clean, and safe environment and pay close attention to behavior or any signs of discomfort. With my background in animal science and clinical settings, I am detail-oriented, reliable, and focused on making sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and at ease while you’re away.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and I appreciate every minute I have with them and all animals. I’ve created my own dog walking business several years ago and gained lots of experience working with and observing the ways dogs function. I am currently an Undergrad studying animal biology with a focus on veterinary medicine. These days, I am working hard at school but appreciate the time I have with any animal! Besides the occasional study session or family vacation, I am free! I am comfortable crating, feeding, watering or walking any pets! I am happy to help take care of other household chores like watering plants or taking in mail!
“The best gift when you can't take your companions on a trip is to know someone will take care of them and give you a peace of mind. Ashley did. She is amazing and is a great communicator. I left behind a 14 year old blob and a 6 years skittish lab and I was worried about the younger pup. It was the 14 year old senior that kept Ashley up at night. Ashley kept me posted on the situation, we kept the communication open to make sure Hunter is ok. Things happened but the best way to know how awesome your substitute is, is to experience their problem solving ability. Ashley got everything under control. I highly recommend Ashley and would love to get her help again. She is definitely more than 5 stars rating.”

“Jiajie was SUPBERB! She gave outstanding care to our puppy! Our puppy had a fantastic time with her (and her sweet dogs). Her communication, while we traveled overseas, was top-notch!!! She was beyond the best- highly highly highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again!”

Sycamore South pet parents share their Rover experiences
Kanika was great with Zubain and Kabira and took wonderful care of the house while we were away. She was attentive, responsible, and clearly cared about making sure they were comfortable and happy. We really appreciated the regular updates and the peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. Both Zubain and Kabira seemed relaxed and well cared for when we returned. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

Vivian looked after my cat Boots for a week. I was nervous about leaving my cat Boots as this was my first time leaving him for this long, but Vivian was great and communicative. I received daily updates and pictures, and she followed my instructions/routine perfectly. I came home to Boots who was happy, excited, and energetic

Jennifer was great! She did what we asked for and even more, which we appreciated. We received updates throughout the day and she got my Husky so tired that she doesn’t even want to get up for treats lol. We are working on our pup’s separation anxiety, so it was nice being able to count on Jennifer. We will definitely be booking again. Our pup gives her 5 stars too lol 🐶

Our dog and cat were very happy when we returned and Ally was a great housesitter for a few nites. She got the animals out during the day and spent time cuddling them at night. The house was as tidy when we returned as when we left. She was attentive to our dogs needs for walks, even in wet weather, and sent us photos. Thank you Ally!
