About: Raised among animals in Costa Rica, I’ve spent years caring for pets of all kinds caring for each with love, including those with medical needs and special attention. I am experienced in dog bathing and I am dedicated to giving compassionate care My schedule is fully open and flexible, allowing me to provide your pet with the time, attention, and consistent care they deserve whenever you need. As someone who’s grown up with animals of all kinds, I bring real, hands-on experience to every pet I care for. I’ve had pets of all ages—puppies, seniors, and those needing daily medication—so I understand how to meet a wide range of needs with patience and love. During pet sitting, I stick closely to their routine, offer fresh food and water, regular walks, lots of affection, and a calm, clean environment. I also provide overnight care for pets that need extra comfort, and I’m experienced with dog bathing. I treat every animal like family—because that’s how I’ve always known to care.

About: ⸻ Hi, I’m Darya — your pet’s new best friend. 🐾 With over 16 years of experience as a dog walker and pet sitter, and a background working in a veterinary clinic, I bring a deep understanding of animals and their needs. Whether it’s a playful pup, a senior cat, or a nervous rescue, I care for every pet with patience, love, and a whole lot of heart. Animals have always been a huge part of my life — they’re not just pets, they’re family. I pride myself on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where your pets feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. Let’s make tails wag and hearts happy Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life. With over 16 years of experience in pet sitting and dog walking — and a background working in a veterinary clinic — caring for animals isn’t just something I do, it’s something I truly love. I’ve shaped my schedule around being there when your pets need me most, whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, or extended stays. I approach each day with patience, reliability, and a calm energy that animals respond to. Your pets’ comfort and well-being are always my top priority. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I do everything I can to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I offer a cozy, clean, and peaceful space where they can relax, play, and enjoy lots of one-on-one attention. I carefully introduce them to the space and tailor everything to their individual needs — whether that means quiet corners, slow-paced walks, or plenty of playtime. No matter the setting, your pet’s well-being is always my top priority.

I have experience with puppy training, administering medications, senior care, and more :) I am a graduate student at UCD currently on summer break! My research schedule is very flexible so I would love to come care for your puppy anytime of day :) I am happy to come take your dog for a mini adventure, hang out at your house, or anything in between! If your dog would enjoy a furry friend, my dog can tag along or she can stay at home. I have experience with crate training dogs, walking/playing with reactive dogs, puppies, and elderly dogs.

“Lucy was great! Very communicative and professional. I would definitely hire her again.”

About: I have a ton of experience working with a variety of dogs, ranging from puppies to senior, lazy to high maintenance, etc. My life revolves around my pets, and I am eager to share that passion with yours. I have a lot of experience with senior care as well-my pup requires a lot of at home treatments in her final months of life. I'm currently a PhD student, getting my degree in animal welfare, so I have relatively flexible hours. I don't have a set work schedule, so let me know what works best for you and I can likely work around that :) my day to day already revolves around my pet, and has for basically all of my adult life. I have a fenced yard, fully baby-proofed house, and pet-experienced roommates. My cat is my only current pet, and he is good with other cats and cat-friendly dogs.

About: I just graduated from UC Davis and I am looking for more opportunities to apply my animal behavior skills. I have been working at the UC Davis Vet hospital for 2 years and have been pet sitting since I was 12!! I have experience with walks and home visits. I specialize in long walks to tire out those crazy pups! I am free every week day and Saturday at anytime! There are some weeks in the month where I participate in Field Research on birds, so may be gone at certain times. I can usually work around your schedule and what your pet(s) may need! I am capable with dealing with large or small dogs and can easily handle their different energy levels. I like to send pictures and write down our daily activities if you decide to choose me for overnights or check ins. For our walks I can tell you the routes I may walk on and if there are areas, people, or dogs you’d like me to avoid or be closer to! I will care for your pets as if they were my own!

About: I've always been an animal lover and hope to pursue veterinary medicine as a career. I've spent a lot of time around dogs and cats, and consider myself very qualified to handle people's pets. I'm home from college from the summer and have ample time on my hands, which gives me plenty of flexibility to schedule time to take care of your pets! I have one small friendly dog that mostly stays inside (she's very lazy)and a large fenced in yard. I always watch my dog when I take her out to go to the bathroom just in case she somehow tries to escape or attempts to eat something she shouldn't be.

About: I have experience with all sorts of pets like chickens, turtles, cats, and dogs. I love them all! ❤️ I am Cat and Dog First Aid Certified through the American Red Cross, Certified Pet Expert (CPS-DW), and an active member of Pet Sitters International (PSI). I am currently working on becoming a CPPS-Certified Professional Pet Sitter. Though I am semi-new to pet sitting, I am constantly learning about pet care and safety. Having grown up with pets, I understand they become members of the family. I cared for my sister’s former miniature poodle Sandy and have grown up with various breeds like chihuahuas and a dachshund. Though I do not own pets anymore due to my lifestyle and living arrangements, I miss being around them. My friends told me about Rover and I jumped right in! I offer personalized care, including daily walks and playtime. I ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and well-cared for as if it’s one of my own! As a Certified Pet Expert, I believe in using positive reinforcement instead of negative methods like e-collars or leash corrections, as they can harm trust and lead to aggression. While I'm not a dog trainer and won't suggest how to teach your dog, I'll happily follow your instructions and support your dog's training (: I work part-time and my availability changes weekly, so feel free to reach out for specific dates/times. My work shifts lasts around 4-5 hours so I may need to step out for house sits but drop-ins are typically are more flexible with this schedule. I update my availability regularly though the specific times may vary because of my part time. I’m flexible and happy to accommodate your pet’s needs whenever possible! For drop-ins for cats I take care of pet duties like food/water and the litter box. Then I either play with them or snuggle. I don’t mind going a bit over time to build trust, play, and spend time with them depending on their needs (: While walking your pet, I ensure they get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, following their preferred pace and routine. I prioritize safety by keeping them on a leash and being mindful of their surroundings. For house sitting, I maintain your pet’s routine, providing meals, playtime, and cuddles. I make sure they feel secure and comfortable in their own home. I also handle light tasks like cleaning up after your pet, keeping the litter box tidy, and sending you regular updates on their well-being. Your pet will feel loved and well cared for while you're away!

Right now for the summer, I am free every day and all day until school starts in late September, and I will always communicate schedule changes and appointments ahead of time if necessary I live in a smoke-free, pet-free apartment with secluded grassy lawns and a large nearby park which I use to provide exercise and bathroom breaks. Pets will enjoy an airconditioned apartment with large windows to watch cars and people go by as well as playtime and enrichment. I also have experience in training, so if there are any commands or tricks you want us to work on, I'm happy to add that to your pet's time spent here!

“Lucy was great! Very communicative and professional. I would definitely hire her again.”

6. Isabelle M.
“Isabelle walked my doggo Moosh. To give a little background, Moosh is a big Pomeranian with the cutest white fur! Although Moosh is the cutest, goodest boy, he can be extremely naughty at times. To put this in perspective, whenever I board him (when I go on vacation), I get charged a $25 barking fee! He's a yapper... Plus he likes eating underwear and socks, so you have to close doors and be very careful he doesn't get into anything! I left Moosh with Isabelle because I know she loves dogs and is a literal animal scientist. Well, turns out this was a great choice. Moosh now listens to Isabelle better than me! Isabelle wrangled Moosh like a pro and kept him from eating any undergarments. There weren't any pee accidents either because Isabelle made sure to take Moosh out early in the morning. Isabelle is my go to walker!”

7. Olivia R.
“Olivia is a kind, caring, responsible, and conscientious person and is excellent with cats, dogs, and chickens. She cared for all of my pets while we were away and I felt completely relaxed knowing they were well taken care of. She sent detailed updates and I knew they were in good hands. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs help with their beloved furry family members!”

8. Mia H.
“She has always been very loving and caring towards animals. She handles them with the utmost care and love. I can’t think of a better person to entrust your pets with. She is also very responsible and reliable.”

10. hanna g.
“Hanna took excellent care of my pets. One of my dogs, Dusty, is old and difficult to deal with. Dusty typically has accidents everywhere around the house, gets in the trash, and refuses to go outside. Hanna handled her perfectly. Not only did she exercise Dusty daily, but she was also able to administer her oral medication. On top of handling Dusty, she gave lots of attention to my 3 cats. Hanna fed them, gave them water, and played around with them for even longer than I paid her for. Overall 10/10 experience. Handles challenging situations very calmly and does not become overwhelmed!”

11. Devi J.
“Devi communicated well before, during, and after walking our dog; and she took great care of our dog. Thank you, Devi!”

12. Xander A.
“Xander will make an excellent sitter for all pet owners that are lucky enough to hire him. As a fourth year vet student and dog and reptile owner, Xander has lots of experience at providing excellent care for his and other animals. He not only understands the importance of husbandry, but he has the clinical wherewithal to notice when they express abnormal behavior and show clinical signs. Xander grew up in Tulare, cow capitol of the country. So, he has experience with large animals and rambunctious animals too, like the Queensland Heelers, that his father has bred for decades. He is a calming presence and is also very respectful of other people and their property. I could not recommend another friend above Xander amongst all of my friends in Davis at the moment.”

16. Isabella P.
“I had Bella watch my cat, Charlie, for a weekend while I was away. She took wonderful care of him and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. Bella was attentive, responsible, and clearly loves animals. She kept me updated with photos and messages, which I really appreciated, and I came home to a very happy kitty. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy and kind to care for your pet, I can’t recommend Bella enough!”
