About: I always wanted to have a dog but my current situation does not allow me to do so easily. Thanks for Rover so that I can walk your dog while you need someone to take him or her for a walk. : ) Um.... should I mention I'm a working professional with no criminal record? Oh! And I personally have two cats. I am 100% working remotely so usually free during early morning, lunch, or evenings. If it’s close to home, I can also drop by multiple times a day. All fur babies need love and attention. Even though we don’t speak our pets’ languages, they can feel the love from us ❤️ it’s that simple

About: I grew up in multi dog homes with large and small breeds (a Lab, a Weimie, a GSP, and 2 frenchies). I have PLENTY of experience walking, feeding, playing, cleaning up after, and interpreting body language of dogs. I’ve taken care of dogs in every life stage including puppies and seniors. Having a dog of my own hasn’t been feasible since moving to Davis for various reasons but I miss having furry companions! I’ve been getting my fix by walking and sitting for my friends and coworkers as well as volunteering with the “Barks and Rec” program at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter. An awesome program where shelter dogs get some much needed time out of the shelter and in front of potential adopters. The German Shepherd (named Dexter) in my profile picture was my last dog through the program and we had a lovely time walking along the American River. I work full time as a researcher in the agricultural biotech space. My hours are a bit flexible but usually hover around the 9am-4pm range. On weekdays, I’d be available for drop in visits/walks in the morning before work and in the afternoons after work. If necessary, a lunchtime visit may be feasible. Weekends are very flexible! You know your pet best! I’m most comfortable following your tried and true routines and rules so you and your pup can feel comfortable and at ease knowing I’m caring for them exactly as you would.

“Dina did a fantastic job taking care of our cat. She was very responsive and a great communicator. We felt confident our cat was in good hands and reassured by the detailed notes/photos provided.”

“Alyssa always takes really good care of my pets and goes the extra mile. Even my shy cats come out for her which is very rare and special. I recommend her very highly!”

About: I have owned and cared for pets my entire life and have been pet sitting for around 4 years. I have fostered many kittens and puppies as well! I also am pursuing a veterinary career and currently work in a veterinary hospital. I'm comfortable doing special care for pets and grooming (including nail trimming). I also do well with puppy training due to my experience fostering and owning pups! I'm currently working part time and work 8am-6pm Monday and Friday in a vet hospital. Throughout the week and weekend I am mostly at home. My job also allows me to bring pets with me to work! I typically start by making sure the animals in the house can smell me first and I'll give them treats(if allowed) so they can relax a bit. I also will adhere to any and all instructions left by the owner. I also will be able to play with pets and give them lots of attention!

About: I grew up around dogs of all sizes and ages, but in 6th grade I finally got my own puppy! I was responsible for crate training, potty training, and all of her other needs. My “puppy” is 9 years old now, and she has been loved her entire life. I am a current college student enjoying the summer break. I am available 7 days a week, with only a few hours of the week dedicated to my part time job, leaving plenty of time to check-in, play, or walk your fur baby! I will follow any guidelines you have for your dog! I am experienced with crate training, walking, playing, etc. I am also willing to follow/learn any medical or dietary needs your pet has to ensure their wellbeing is the top priority.

About: I had my very first pet, a cat when I was 6 years old. I started taking care of dogs and cats when I was 10 years old. I would take care of neighbors, friends, and families cats and dogs. I treat all animals as if they were my very own children. I love and care for them unconditionally. I work part time and I have classes Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evenings online. I am very flexible. I would have time to give your pet a lot of attention and playtime. I am very active and I have a beautiful trail by my house and a lot of grass where I live. My townhouse is very peaceful and I’ll create a cozy bed for your pet to sleep in. I also have a lot of grass and a park with a nice trail nearby where I can have a lot of playtime with your pet! I ONLY take dogs that are crate trained so please bring your crate with you. I would also LOVE to have a meet and greet beforehand to see if it’s the right fit! You are more than welcome to bring anything that makes your pet feel more comfortable such as a toy or some favorite treats I could give him or her! I will follow any instructions or preferences that your pet has, in order to make sure it’s a comfortable and welcoming environment!

About: I've had pets my whole life, and I started volunteering at the local animal shelter at 11 years old where I socialized dogs and cats and cleaned their kennels. In middle and high school, I fostered kittens including newborns, giving them around-the-clock care and bottle-feeding them every 4 hours. Growing up, friends and neighbors would hire me to watch their houses and care for their chickens, dogs, and cats. I have a lot of experience in general care as well as intensive care and administering medicine to pets! Right now for the summer, I am free every day and all day until school starts in late September, and I will always communicate schedule changes and appointments ahead of time if necessary I live in a smoke-free, pet-free apartment with secluded grassy lawns and a large nearby park which I use to provide exercise and bathroom breaks. Pets will enjoy an airconditioned apartment with large windows to watch cars and people go by as well as playtime and enrichment. I also have experience in training, so if there are any commands or tricks you want us to work on, I'm happy to add that to your pet's time spent here!

“Susannah was great! She was flexible with our timing, communicative and so kinda! My cats were clearly comfortable with her and she checked in after each visit. I would highly recommend her!”
