Sofia had great communication and updated me during every visit she had with my pug. Even though my dog can be stubborn when it comes to eating, she always made sure he ate and was taken care of.

About: I have a wide range of dog experience. Puppies, seniors, reactive, and medicated ones. I am fear free certified and have taken many animal classes and animal behavior classes for my animal science major. Outside of a classroom setting I have worked in a shelter where I was a medical volunteer. This required me to work with dogs that I had no insight to a lot of the dog’s background and always stayed aware of their behavior. A lot of the bigger dogs I worked with were abused, abandoned, or injured and having to work with animals that have trauma like that is heartbreaking but also can affect their behavior towards people. That being said I had to work with dogs that were more challenging and more often than not were labeled aggressive but were actually just scared. I have house sat friends and families before and always send an absurd amount of photos to owners of their fur baby (that’s at least what I prefer) and I have no problem communicating any uncertainties, questions, or concerns to an owner. I would rather be safe than sorry always. I do not have a lot of senior care experience but would love to learn. I took care of a few cases where there were medications twice daily but I know there are more extreme senior care situations I won’t pretend to know how to do but I am eager to do my research and learn from the owner! Fairly flexible. I am a student and barista. My barista job is part time with the average shift lasting around 4 hours and the absolute most I could be scheduled for is 7hrs but that rarely happens. It is also a flexible job where I can get easy covers if needed or swap shifts. I take the better safe than sorry approach when caring for any pet whether it is someone else’s or my own. I will do my research on something I am unsure about which is the reason I have learned so much about my own pet’s compromised immune system. This is why I will not be housing any pets myself but I have practiced many different bio security measures and feel confident all animals will be safe and happy. I am a big communicator and if I have concerns questions or uncertainties I will not hesitate to just ask.

About: I’m currently a 4th year wildlife fish and conservation biology major at University California Davis, on the wildlife health tract. I am hoping to go to veterinary school and have a wide range of experience primarily in horses, dogs and cats, as well as some reptiles such as leopard geckos and chameleons! Ive done veterinary clinics with UC Davis which has given me more in depth knowledge on canine and feline behavior. I am also on their foal team. I have experience with giving injections to both reptiles, cats, and dogs so If your pet needs any extra care, I will happily do so. Im Outgoing and love going on new adventures with my cats and dogs. This past summer, I went to Africa for a zoological and veterinary medicine internship (without either of my pets) but it was an amazing experience. Besides school, I have grown up my whole life with multiple cats, reptiles, and small rodents; and recently in the past eight years have adopted two large dogs (a Berner and a maremma sheep dog). I’m looking forward to meeting your furry family :) I currently have wide gaps between my classes at school, which will allow me to spend a lot of extra time caring for your pet. I currently have a cat of my own who I dedicate all my money and time to. She’s my baby. I currently just have my cat at school who has many toys to keep her occupied when I’m not at home. But when I am home she’s constantly on my lap and getting cuddles. I will do the exact same out of my own home as well, all furry friends deserve some snuggles. I am also completely comfortable with crating or moving your pets to their desired space for the day or evening

About: When I was 9, I got my first dog, and that is how I started to be interested in being a vet and take care of dogs. I’m a UCD Animal Science student. My class schedule is not very busy other than Thursdays for this quarter, so I will be home most of the time other than that. I have 3 roommates (2 are also Animal Science students) who also loves animals and knows how to take care of them and have experiences with pets. There will usually be at least 1-2 person at home always. We have plenty of space for your pet to run around in the house, and a yard which we can be taking the dog out for potty breaks.

About: I’ve pet sat for about 4 years now, taking care of dogs of all sizes, ages, energy levels, and reactivity. I’m really missing my dog right now and would love to take care of yours. I’m always down for a long walk, game of fetch, or a chill day on the couch. I, of course, send all the cute pictures I take to keep you updated. I am a full time student, but my course load is relatively light. My classes are tightly packed in the middle of the day, but mornings and evenings are wide open I unfortunately cannot host your pet at my dorm. I do however have experience in house sitting as well so any indoor plants or gardens would be regularly watered.

About: I’ve been a dedicated dog owner since I was 12 years old, starting with my own pup Peaches. I’m reliable, friendly, and truly love spending time with dogs - your dog will be treated like my own :) Pet care fits easily into my routine. I’m a UC Davis student with classes only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the week for walks, drop-visits, and consistent care! I take in-home pet care seriously and understand the trust it requires. I’m respectful of your home, attentive to your dog’s routine, and committed to providing reliable, loving care. Having cared for my own dog, Peaches, for 10 years, I know how to keep dogs comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away.

About: I grew up around all sorts of animals: cats, dogs, horses, sheep, goats, you name it! I absolutely love all animals, and being away from my own fur babies as a college student is one of the hardest parts! I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals: kitties, dogs, and even farm animals; so I am happy and equipped to help with any of your pets needs! I’ve looked after senior pups, and those with special needs, so you can be sure that your fur babies are in safe hands when they’re with me! Caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine thanks to my flexible part-time work schedule. I’m able to be present and attentive, giving your furry friend the time, care, and love they deserve to feel safe and happy. I focus on making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for in a way that suits their unique needs. Whether it’s sticking to their usual feeding schedule, going on walks, playing, or giving medication, I make sure they’re well taken care of. I also know how important it is to stay connected while you’re away, so I love sending you regular updates with photos and videos of your fur babies!

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs at all stages of their lives! From birth to old age, I have bottle-fed and waned puppies, kitten sat, as well as administered insulin shots and oral medications to older cats and dogs. One of my kitties now also takes an oral pill twice daily, so I also have some experience giving cats pills :). I am a full-time student who just moved to Davis! I have a flexible schedule, meaning maintaining strict feeding or medication times should be no problem! I make sure all water sources are clean and replaced regularly, food bowls and cans are rinsed/washed immediately to avoid lingering smells, and do a quick walk-through of the pets' spaces to make sure your fur baby(s) didn't get into things they weren't supposed to. I also love plants, so in my own home, i keep them watered and check regularly for if there are new chomps in them and would be very happy to do the same for you if that is at all a concern :). And, of course, I offer plenty of play time with the kitties!

Jessica provided truly excellent care for our 2 year old cat while we were out of town for several weeks. She played with her, got to know her personality and preferences, and continued to shift her care and support to make her life happy and healthy in our absence. Our time away from home was much easier knowing that Jessica was making daily visits for food, litter, pets, and play! In addition, Jessica's daily reports, photos and short videos were awesome! We looked forward to receiving them and taking a look each evening. Thank you so much, Jessica!!

Cannot recommend Allison ENOUGH!! My sweet girl Winnie is a senior dog that’s veeery shy. I have a hard time finding someone that she’ll trust to take her outside to go potty. That being said, Allison took amazing care of her and was so patient!! So much so, that Winnie eventually let her take her outside which is a BIG deal for her! Allison is very knowledgeable and dependable when it comes to pet care!!
