8. Kendall D.
About: I’ve had at least one dog in my household since the age of 5. I’ve handled different kinds of dog personalities, breeds, and sizes. Calm, reactive, old, young - I’ve seen it all! I’m currently the mom of 2 pit-mix rescues who are spoiled beyond belief. I regularly pet sit for friends, so I’m joining Rover to help out more people! I work full-time, Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a 1 hour lunch break. I work remotely twice a week and am in Woodland the other 3 days. I have the flexibility to do check-ins and short walks on my hour lunch break, and more during my remote work days and weekends. In my home, my 2 medium sized dogs are crate trained and get 2 walks per day. We live in an apartment so I am used to having to take them out to the bathroom. They are fed twice per day, 1 hour after returning from a walk. I am very aware of the risks of bloat in large breeds, so I always look out for that! When I dogsit for friends and family, I’ve seen varying needs depending on the dog’s personality. I understand dog reactivity and am sensitive towards the needs of each individual pup.

9. Carey C.

“Carey did a great job taking care of our dog while we were away. She kept us updated on his activities, shared several pictures, and made sure he was well looked after. She also took good care of our home, which we really appreciated. We’d be happy to book her again in the future and would recommend her to others looking for a reliable dog sitter!”

10. Alexa Y.
About: I grew up with pets (dogs, cats, exotics) my entire life and quickly took on the responsibility of caring for them at a young age. This passion led me down the path of pursuing Veterinary Medicine. Throughout high school I volunteered at my local animal shelter and also independently studied dog training. Through the use of positive reinforcement I have successfully trained my own two dogs as well as friends' and family members' dogs. During my undergraduate years, I was a veterinary assistant at an animal hospital in Southern, California. There I learned technical skills such as administering vaccines, collecting blood samples, and giving oral and injectable medications. I am currently a first year vet student at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where I’m continuing my journey to help animals live healthier, happier lives. Whether it’s walking, training, or giving your pet a little extra TLC, you can trust they’ll be in knowledgeable and loving hands with me. I am currently a first year veterinary student, so everyday I have a combination of lectures and labs. However, my schedule tends to fluctuate a lot and for the most part provides me flexibility. I am free most weekdays and weekends -with proper notice- for dog walking, pet check ins, house sitting, etc. I am well versed in dog and cat behavior and training. I am comfortable tailoring to your pets usual routine and comfort level. My goal is to make them as comfortable as they are when you are home!

12. Esmerilda R.

“Esmerelda is always amazing with our spoiled fur babies. It’s so nice knowing that they are getting lots of love and attention when we are away.”

13. Nicole W.

“Nicole was wonderful with our Aldo!!! She is a true dog lover and cared for him as if he was her own. She was also extremely flexible, when we had to ask her to come 6 hours earlier than the original scheduled start time!! Nicole made sure our boy had fun, got his allergy medication, and stayed busy to keep him from missing us too much which we so appreciate!! We will 100% be booking Nicole again ??”

14. Miranda H.

“Miranda was wonderful. We felt she followed all our instructions about house sitting and pet sitting to a tee. We were at ease knowing she was at our home. She sent us pictures and videos of the kitties too. We would highly recommend her. We can not thank her enough for making our trip away more relaxing.”

15. Sydney S.

“Sydney is beyond trustworthy, and is loved by my high energy mini-Aussie. She’s beyond trustworthy understands the obedience training we’re doing to address reactivity, which is a bonus.”

16. Emma H.
“Emma is very good at caring for cats, dogs, birds, and reptiles. I have cats and a dog that she has fed and walked many times. I have a close friend that she bird-sat for several times and she did a great job. She is exceptionally reliable and super loving. I highly recommend her.”

17. Joon K.

“Joon was great! She sent updates during the stay. Our dog who is usually pretty indifferent to dog sitters LOVED her and cried when she left!”

18. Anabelle S.
“My dogs love Anabelle. She is very calm and fun. They especially like her glow in the dark chuck it ball! When I get back from vacation I am a little worried my dogs miss her more than me!”

19. Kira Y.
“As a close friend of Kira's, we have spent a lot of time together, and in that time, we have taken care of dogs together and I have had an up-close and personal look at her dedication to serving animals. Kira is always loving and responsible with animals, even able to handle the rowdiest dogs I know. Kira has also inspired me to join her at a local pet shelter, spending time with various dogs. Kira as a person is driven, kind-hearted, and capable, and this translates to her qualities as a dog sitter. If you get Kira to take care of your animal, you know you can rest easy. She has helped me tremendously with any dog I have had to encounter and take care, and I know she can help you too.”
