“Wen is amazing caretaker. I felt happy and at ease with having my cats with her. She made sure they were comfortable, loved, well fed and happy in their stay. Definitely getting her again in the future. Recommend to any pet parent.”

“I give Lena my highest recommendation as a dog sitter! I am writing this review in reference to our experiences on two separate occasions. The first time we had Lena sit for our dog Daisy (a 4 yo pit mix) was a great experience. We always look for someone to watch Daisy who enjoys spending time with her and wants to have fun and Lena went above and beyond by not only taking Daisy on walks but also all sorts of hikes and adventures (we even got a cool photo of her wearing sunglasses!). Lena also dealt with some issues of Daisy having to go potty in the middle of the night very competently and professionally. She watched Daisy for 11 days and Daisy was well taken care of and happy when we picked her back up. The second time we had scheduled with Lena to watch Daisy for one night and Lena had a family emergency come up (a totally valid reason to cancel). Instead of simply leaving it to us to find a backup, Lena helped coordinate with her roommate to watch Daisy, which worked out great. Lena that she is not only able to take great care of dogs, but she is also a thoughtful and responsible person.”

“Cindy took wonderful care of Norman! She was very conscientious with his care, communicated well, and sent great pictures. Norman has a difficult temperament sometimes, but Cindy made him comfortable in her home and was able to reliably give him his medication. I would definitely trust her with your pets!”

“This was Bristol’s first overnight boarding, and Alayna went above and beyond to make the experience as smooth as possible. She met with us in person beforehand to ensure that Bristol and Jake could get to know each other, which made the transition much easier. Alayna is incredibly considerate and maintained clear, consistent communication throughout the entire process. Her warm and attentive approach gave us peace of mind and made Bristol’s stay truly comfortable.”

“Ann was very thoughtful and caring with our two senior dogs over a holiday weekend. She was communicative and flexible on pickup time with us. She prefers dogs that are crate-trained, ok with kids and other dogs, and will ask for evidence of vaccinations. Thanks, Ann!”

“Jessie has become Edward’s home away from home. He’s very comfortable with her and always happy to see her. She’s very observant about changes in his behavior and is very caring and patient with him. He’s so much happier staying with her than in a boarding kennel.”

“Beyond fantastic! Kasandra kept our cocker while we were away for 2 weeks. Not only was he very well cared for—he was actually better than when we left him! He is way calmer and has better manners than he had at drop off. Kasandra gave me some pointers that will help me a lot with him at home. This gal is a dog whisperer!! I could not be more grateful. Thank you Kasandra!”

About: Hello, my name is Esmerilda. I graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology and am in search of dog walking, training, bathing, and pet sitting positions to help me pay off student loans. Aspiring veterinarians usually know they have a special gift with animals as a child, as I discovered at the age of 7. Thus, I have been involved in the husbandry of my own dogs, cats, and exotic animals the majority of my life! Due to my extensive experience as a lab animal technician, kennel attendant, and shelter volunteer, I have 6 years of professional experience in animal husbandry. During the year of the notorious Camp Fire, I worked as a veterinary assistant at the UC Davis Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital to 4th year veterinary students with disabilities during their clinical year. As their "right hand woman", I provided various accommodations for physical and intellectual limitations in order to facilitate their success. I was directly involved with the treatment of animal patients in ophthalmology, cardiology, community practice, community surgery, companion avian and pet exotics, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, neurology, shelter medicine & surgery, anesthesia, behavior, and nutrition. For several years, I also gained technical skills as a veterinary assistant in small veterinary hospitals and for the nonprofit Mercer Clinic for the Pets of the Homeless. Thus, I am exceptionally knowledgeable in the field of veterinary medicine. At the client's request, I also offer one on one obedience training on walks, baths, nail trimming, syringe feeding, and transportation to veterinary appointments for an additional charge (not listed). I have committed my 'gap year' before veterinary school to providing my sevices on Rover- ensuring your pet receives the highest quality of care and love while you are away. Please do not hesitate in contacting me so I may meet my new fur (or scaled or feathered) buddy. Thank you for your time and consideration :) ANIMALS ARE MY LIFE. NO, SERIOUSLY! I work full time an animal caretaker unless my calendar is marked as I'm unavailable because I scheduled a vacation to combat caretaker fatigue, I am available, 24 (like Kobe) hours , 7 days a week , rain and shine ! 🌞 I am an observant, vigilant pet owner myself and strive to go above and beyond in maintaining a secure and clean environment for your animal(s) as well. I have experience adhering to strict animal protocols within both veterinary hospital and laboratory settings, thus applying these skills as your animal caretake/technician within your home. Please notify me if your pet is an escape artist, uses a crate, what your boundaries are (i.e. furniture or specific areas off-limits), if your pet uses an e-collar or GPS collar, and the like! As always, your dog gets my full attention—walks are always private and limited to dogs from the same household.
“Jiajie was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of my puppy and was incredibly attentive the whole time. She sent me tons of updates, photos, and videos every day, which made me feel so reassured and at ease while I was away. Communication was super smooth — she was always responsive, friendly, and patient, and you can really tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. My puppy was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when I picked her up. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend Jiajie to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and responsible. I would 100% book with her again!”

“I wasn't sure my dog Max would want to come back home after spending time with Mayra and all the beings in her warm and comforting home. Her kind and gentle nature put us all at ease.”

About: I have been around pets ever since I can remember and probably had around 10 in my life so far. I’ll be attentive, caring and sweet with your little friends, bringing them the comfort and calm they need when you’re not home ❤️ I’m currently a student at UC Davis with a part-time job, so I will be available for pet sitting every other day normally after 12pm (noon) I can easily find a space in your home where the pet feels more at comfort and I’ll act quickly and proactively when I notice something is needed.
“Erica was amazing with my puppy. She made sure and sent me pics n kept me updated so that I knew Kitana was being well taken care of. She was also very flexible with me updating drop of n pick up and even let me extend her stay for another night. I will be using Erica as my permanent pet sitter.”

“My dog did wonderfully with Kirsten! I've tried a few different boarding options and Kirsten is by far the best! She sent a daily update to let me know how it was going and was very quick and responsive to communication about both pickup and drop off times. I will certainly be using Kirsten again for my boarding needs.”

“Pontida took my chrissy in last moment, for a fair price, and with lots of love. She sent pictures with updates, letting me know that chrissy was ok and doing well. Chrissy had a great time and I could not have asked for a better pet sitter.”

“Valerie is a caring and attentive pet sitter for our dog Cali. She gave Cali her medications on time and took her on daily walks. Valerie took great care of Cali, I really appreciated the daily pictures and prompt messages. I would definitely book Valerie to care for our pets.”

About: My whole life I've had cats, so of course they're my favorite animal! I have 10 years of experience pet sitting for neighbors, friends, and family. I also have extensive experience caring for my own cat with medical needs, and am willing to learn how to care for cats from all backgrounds.

About: Ever since I adopted my own cat I fell in love and researched endlessly to ensure he lives the best life possible. I can read cat language well and know when a cat wants to be pet or left alone. Studying in animal science has also helped me understand the feline anatomy, behavior, and nutritional requirements!

About: I grew up with three cats and helped take care of them. I also have experience looking after my friends and family’s cats. I absolutely love hanging out with cats and their personalities. I’m also good with cats from all ages and temperaments!
“Jessie is wonderful to have as our pet sitter! She communicates well and was so great with Oslo. She is totally trustworthy and we will definitely be calling upon her again!”

“Audrey did an awesome job watching my cats, I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. My cats loved Audrey back, as evidenced by pics of them crawling all over Audrey, lol! The litter box was clean, and they were fed and happy when I got home too, just like I was hoping. Audrey was kind and pleasant to be in contact with.”

“Aaron has taken excellent care of my cat. In addition to the basics, he has given my cat his medication plus lots of play time. His informative and thorough reports have been much appreciated. He really understands cats. I won't hesitate to use his services again.”

About: Hi! I'm Tristan, a college student and lifelong animal lover who understands that every cat has their own unique personality. Whether your cat is playful and outgoing or shy and independent, I'll make sure they receive the patience, care, and attention they need while you're away. I know how important it is to keep cats comfortable in their own environment, so I'll stick closely to their normal routine, including feeding schedules, litter box cleaning, playtime, medications (if needed), and plenty of affection on their terms. I'll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is to make your cat feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for, so you can enjoy your time away knowing they're in loving and dependable hands.
“Marissa provided housesitting and care for our shy cat Maggie—she was wonderful! She knew how to connect with Maggie, and was very responsive and responsible while we were away, sending multiple photos and updates. Maggie seemed to be very comfortable with Marissa, and so were we!”

About: I’ve loved dogs since I could remember! I’ve owned and trained different sizes and breeds of dogs since I was 8 years old. The bigger the better! I go to UC Davis full time but have limited my classes to two times a week. Which means I have five days a week to take care of your furry friend! I currently live in a student apartment, but at home I have two large breed pups and I’m aware of the time and effort it takes to keep them healthy and happy!

About: Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. Raised on a farm and on a pre-vet track from a young age, I’ve spent decades caring for animals of all kinds—from house pets to livestock to wildlife. Starting at 14, I volunteered in local vet clinics and wildlife rehab centers, gaining hands-on experience with everything from cats and dogs to peacocks, horses, goats, snakes, fish, birds, and cattle. At UC Davis, I deepened my care skills while working at the world-renowned Vet Hospital, tending to cats and dogs during the swing shift. I also worked with campus goats, pigs, sheep, fish, cattle, and horses—and even fostered cats for the hospital. Now in my 30s, I’m an education professional and dedicated pet mom to both cats and dogs. I continue to care for friends’ and neighbors’ pets with the same compassion, attention, and responsibility that’s guided me my whole life. I’m certified in Cat & Dog CPR & First Aid, and Infant, Child, and Adult CPR/AED/First Aid, and have emergency care experience with animals large and small. I’m calm under pressure, reliable, and always communicate clearly—your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I'm currently taking a break from teaching, and being a full-time stay-at-home mama to my 2.5 year old daughter. I have plenty of time to care for your furry family member. Please note that at this time, we are seeking families whose pets are comfortable around toddlers and children. I have a fully fenced yard, and a park just around the corner from my house for those whose furry friends enjoy a stretch, walk, or playtime! I am comfortable using a crate, and we have plenty of floor room in the house (carpet and laminate) for them to lay down if they're not crate trained. We do not allow dogs on the furniture. Cats are allowed to wander the house. We are more than happy to put up child gates to keep your furry family member in certain areas of the house if they're prone to getting into things (such as stuffed animals for the kiddos... I mean really, a lot of doggie toys these days look so similar! I'd understand the misconception. lol) We're not afraid to be firm but kind if your family member needs set boundaries.

About: I grew up around dogs of all sizes and ages, but in 6th grade I finally got my own puppy! I was responsible for crate training, potty training, and all of her other needs. My “puppy” is 9 years old now, and she has been loved her entire life. I am a current college student enjoying the summer break. I am available 7 days a week, with only a few hours of the week dedicated to my part time job, leaving plenty of time to check-in, play, or walk your fur baby! I will follow any guidelines you have for your dog! I am experienced with crate training, walking, playing, etc. I am also willing to follow/learn any medical or dietary needs your pet has to ensure their wellbeing is the top priority.
“Esmerilda is an absolutely fantastic person and cares immensely for our dog. She has been our weekly dog walker for a little over 6 months--Our dog is a rescue and was quite difficult in the beginning, but Esmerilda has done a lot to help train and rehabilitate her. She also has done house sitting for us. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone who needs help with their dogs.”

About: I have always taken care of pets since I was little ranging from cats and dogs to reptiles to any pet not a person that needed to take care of that near me. I only have two in person classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and other than that I am free no other job except school right now :) I have always taken care of my family’s pet, especially my sisters which her house consist of a golden retriever and a poodle and a Chihuahua. The poodle is very very old and she is an elderly dog, so she’s blind and has arthritis and going to deaf, so I was always used to cleaning up and guided her to the restroom or her food and still focusing on the other pets, giving everyone the proper love and care at the exact same time.

About: I have taken care of two cats since 2023, and have lived with two dogs in my family home since 2020. I absolutely love dogs and cats, and am willing to care for your pets with the same attention that I give my own animals! Growing up with different pets from fish, crabs, parakeets and hamsters is where my love for animals comes from and am excited to express that love in a way that is helpful to the community around me! I've lived in Davis for the past 5 years and as a former Unitrans employee, this opportunity seems like the best way for me to continue giving my efforts back to the city of Davis and its people! My schedule is very flexible currently and am able to help your pet throughout the day if need be! I am mobile and am able to make multiple visits to your animal in a single day, as well as take them on multiple trips and/or walks if need be. I prefer to take care of your animals in the space that they are comfortable in, and will be respectful of your home and property for the time I am in your space. I am able to play with, take on walks, feed, and take care of any other tasks your pet may need!
About: What really sets me apart is how much I truly care. I have two dogs of my own, a Pitbull/Great Dane mix and a German Shorthaired Pointer, so I know how much love, patience, and energy pets need. I also help care for my grandma, who has dementia, which has taught me to be extra gentle, attentive, and understanding. I bring that same kind of warmth and care to every pet I meet, treating them like family from the start. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy making time for in my daily routine. As a college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship throughout the week. I love staying active, so getting outside for walks is something I look forward to, and I also enjoy spending quiet time with pets who simply want company. I make it a priority to be dependable, follow each pet's routine closely, and provide regular updates so owners can feel confident their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for. I do not offer care for pets inside of my home. It does not work with the apartment that I currently live in. Thank you for your understanding.

Norman has a difficult temperament sometimes, but Cindy made him comfortable in her home and was able to reliably give him his medication. I would definitely trust her with your pets!”

“Marya was great! She sent lots of photos and videos. She was very responsive and accommodating. Roxy had a wonderful time with her and we will definitely book with her again!”

“Achara provides the absolute best care for our dog! He comes home happy and healthy. I love the good communication, care for our dog, and extra accommodation on a short notice when we couldn’t make it home on time. Truly Odie’s favorite home away from home!”

“We love having April as our go-to sitter! It had been almost six months since we’ve traveled anywhere, and while packing to leave was a challenge, at least we could check off not worrying about dog care. Thank you for always taking such great care of Dora!”

“Cecilia is very professional and caring. She is a real dog lover! She and her dogs welcomed our energetic puppy and she sent photos and videos every day. We appreciate her work!”

“Rebecca looked after my dog Belle overnight. Good communication, easy to book with. She was very flexible on timing and accommodated a very early drop off. Lots of photos and she gave my dog a little gift which was very kind of her. Would recommend. Thanks so much!”

“Eva was friendly, creating the booking was easy as she is responsive and accommodated my times. My cat seemed to have enjoyed her stay and was walking around casually when I went to pick her up.”
