“Clara house sat and watch our labradoodle for 5 days and did a fantastic job! Walter was happy and healthy when we arrived home and the house was in excellent condition. Several of our dog-loving neighbors got to know Clara and really liked them. We highly recommend Clara and have absolutely no reservations in hiring them again! :-)”

“We asked Carla to dogsit our golden doodle this weekend. She did a fantastic job from start to finish. Carla came.to our house to meet Teddy and become familiar with her personality. Carla communicated with us through out the weekend, updating us with pictures and short texts. It is common for Teddy not to eat while we are gone, but because Carla made her feel calm, she ate the first evening Carla came. Carla left our home clean and in order. We highly recommend her to you and will be calling her in the future.”

“Ashley was wonderful! I highly recommend her. She did such a great job with my little dog. She was timely, trustworthy, a great communicator, and best of all my dog loves her! Thank you, Ashley!”

“Devi was great. We’ve already booked with her again! Devi was very responsive when booking. We were impressed by how professional she was when she came over for a meet-and-greet. Most importantly, she handled our easily overexcited, enormous dog perfectly—she was calm, let him set the pace, and he quickly relaxed with her. Devi sent updates and pics, so we were able to enjoy our weekend without worries.”

About: Hello! I have taken care of dogs since 2009 with various experiences with my personal pets and many other family members pets. My uncle used to be a K9 police dog trainer and has many personal pets. Through him, i've been exposed to various sizes, mentalities, and activity limits. My experiences with big dogs like Great Danes and intelligent dogs like Belgian Malinois give me the confidence to handle any pets! I also have experienced dogs that can be easily spooked and might produce scary looking body language, allowing me to handle de-escalation while respecting the pet. Overall, I have seen all types of dogs and am equipped to give your pets a fun experience! I am currently working a day shift on UC Davis campus but can be available after 4:30pm on weekdays and anytime works on the weekends! I can take care of pets in a clients home by providing treats if allowed and using the environment of the clients home to entertain their pet. I won't be able to care for pets in my own because I don't have proper space, but I can walk them around the neighborhood!

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs all my life whether it comes to feeding, training, walking, and playing. I have also recently been taking care of senior dogs. Currently I am on summer break from school so I have a lot of time to be working and helping with furry family members for others. I can do whatever is needed in order to care for your pets as well as follow any detailed instructions you may give me to ensure your pets well-being.

“Esmerilda is a fantastic. She made sure she knew our needs and our lab's routine before we left -- and kept us updated throughout our trip. Our very active dog was thrilled to have Esmerilda take care of her, and we look forward to having her help us again in the future. Highest recommendations!”

“Sydney has been our go-to house and dog overnight sitter. I never worry about the care for our home or our much-loved dog. She’s gracious, and really goes the extra mile (dog walking!).”

About: I have experience with all sorts of pets like chickens, turtles, cats, and dogs. I love them all! ❤️ I am Cat and Dog First Aid Certified through the American Red Cross, Certified Pet Expert (CPS-DW), and an active member of Pet Sitters International (PSI). I am currently working on becoming a CPPS-Certified Professional Pet Sitter. Though I am semi-new to pet sitting, I am constantly learning about pet care and safety. Having grown up with pets, I understand they become members of the family. I cared for my sister’s former miniature poodle Sandy and have grown up with various breeds like chihuahuas and a dachshund. Though I do not own pets anymore due to my lifestyle and living arrangements, I miss being around them. My friends told me about Rover and I jumped right in! I offer personalized care, including daily walks and playtime. I ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and well-cared for as if it’s one of my own! As a Certified Pet Expert, I believe in using positive reinforcement instead of negative methods like e-collars or leash corrections, as they can harm trust and lead to aggression. While I'm not a dog trainer and won't suggest how to teach your dog, I'll happily follow your instructions and support your dog's training (: I work part-time and my availability changes weekly, so feel free to reach out for specific dates/times. My work shifts lasts around 4-5 hours so I may need to step out for house sits but drop-ins are typically are more flexible with this schedule. I update my availability regularly though the specific times may vary because of my part time. I’m flexible and happy to accommodate your pet’s needs whenever possible! For drop-ins for cats I take care of pet duties like food/water and the litter box. Then I either play with them or snuggle. I don’t mind going a bit over time to build trust, play, and spend time with them depending on their needs (: While walking your pet, I ensure they get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, following their preferred pace and routine. I prioritize safety by keeping them on a leash and being mindful of their surroundings. For house sitting, I maintain your pet’s routine, providing meals, playtime, and cuddles. I make sure they feel secure and comfortable in their own home. I also handle light tasks like cleaning up after your pet, keeping the litter box tidy, and sending you regular updates on their well-being. Your pet will feel loved and well cared for while you're away!

About: I am a student at UC Davis school of Veterinary medicine with training in behavioral modification, emergency medicine, and general animal health and wellness. I also have experience with exotic pets such as birds, reptiles, and small mammals. I am currently out of school on break so I can be very flexible with scheduling. I am willing to make check in trips or stay overnight. I have one pup of my own who lives with two other dogs. Our pups have 24 hrs access to a back yard and get plenty of attention and all the toys they could possibly wish to chew.

Xander A.
“Xander will make an excellent sitter for all pet owners that are lucky enough to hire him. As a fourth year vet student and dog and reptile owner, Xander has lots of experience at providing excellent care for his and other animals. He not only understands the importance of husbandry, but he has the clinical wherewithal to notice when they express abnormal behavior and show clinical signs. Xander grew up in Tulare, cow capitol of the country. So, he has experience with large animals and rambunctious animals too, like the Queensland Heelers, that his father has bred for decades. He is a calming presence and is also very respectful of other people and their property. I could not recommend another friend above Xander amongst all of my friends in Davis at the moment.”
Arrowhead pet parents share their Rover experiences
Misha was very responsive to my messages, made sure to take adorable pictures every day, and was able to keep our sensitive rescue happy and on his usual schedule. Additionally, she was flexible with timing issues due to plane delays, which we were incredibly thankful for. Thanks for doing such a wonderful job taking care of our dog :)

We came home to a happy dog and clean house, couldn't ask for anything more! I'd recommend Kate for house and dog sitting.

Negin was an amazing pet sitter for my Lily. It’s always so hard to leave a pet when going away and it makes all the difference in the world to leave them in the hands of someone who is trustworthy and compassionate and Negin is definitely both of these! She genuinely cared about getting to know my cat and meeting her unique needs, she was super communicative and sent photos without me having to ask for them, and when I got home I could tell that Lily had been in good hands. Negin is dependable, caring, and has an innate knack for being with animals. I recommend her highly!

Elana was great with our dog Winnie! She was very communicative and responsible and sent lot of pictures. Winnie seemed to like her a lot, which made us comfortable leaving her in Elana’s care

Emme stayed at ny house for 4 nights while I was out of town. She took time to learn about my dog and his habits during the meet and greet. She asked questions and took notes. During her stay, she arrived on time, checked in often and gave me updates regularly. She is very attentive and asked questions that came up that we had not discussed. I felt my dog was cared for. I would recommend her and consider using her services again..
We were so lucky to have Diane caring for our dog aquarium pets, and home for our 10 day vacation! She shared lots of updates and patiently won the dog's heart. She even worked on some training goals!

Nicole was great with the dogs. She gave updates with pictures and was responsive when I contacted her.

Valorie was great! She communicated with me well, sent pictures, and was honest. My pups seem led to have a good time :) Sh is so nice and genuine and took such great care of the house too.

We feel so lucky to have found Carey. She house sat for us and took the BEST care of our dog Lily. She sent many, many pictures and videos of our Lily and it made us so happy to see our puppy dog was having such a fun time while we were away. I will definitely have her sit for us again and highly recommend her.

Ashley was wonderful! I highly recommend her. She did such a great job with my little dog. She was timely, trustworthy, a great communicator, and best of all my dog loves her! Thank you, Ashley!

Sydney has been our go-to house and dog overnight sitter. I never worry about the care for our home or our much-loved dog. She’s gracious, and really goes the extra mile (dog walking!).

We were visiting from out of town and needed someone to watch our puppy at our hotel—and Kendall was amazing! She was punctual, kind, and clearly experienced with young dogs. Our pup was calm and happy when we returned, and it was such a relief knowing he was in good hands while we were away. We really appreciated her flexibility and professionalism. Highly recommend if you live the area or visiting like us and need a trustworthy sitter!

Anna was wonderful! She spent lots of time with the pets and went above and beyond to make sure everything was as I’d hoped. Will definitely rebook!

Kira did a great job watching our puppy who is very high energy so can be challenging. Kira was very communicative and responsible.

Emma was AMAZING with our Zoe. We were gone for 12 days and I never at any point worried that our very spoiled Chihuahua was very well taken care of during the entire time we were gone. She updated up us with pictures and the numerous walks and adventures they embarked on due to the time we were away. When we returned, the house was left clean and we could not even tell she had stayed at our house the entire time. Zoe was sorry to see her go as I am sure she was a warm lap and with constant petting, a devoted person who lavished attention on her.

Joon was fabulous! The house was clean; animals were well-fed, exercised and chill. The real give-away was that my old puppy usually goes into a frenzy when I return from a trip - so overjoyed to see me. This time she said she missed me, but not terribly. That speaks volumes for the care she received from Joon. Same with the kitty. Many stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Ximena was communicative and prompt with replies. She sent pictures and updates on how our dog was doing. When we came back, he seemed relaxed and calm!

Ari was great and responsive! Left our apartment nice and clean and our dog was super happy! Definitely recommend! :)

This is my second time having Elsa take care of my kitties. Last time, she only took care of Clay, but this time around, she also took care of Oreo, my new kitten. She was attentive and caring. Both my cats have very different personalities and she was respectful of them. Oreo particularly enjoyed having Elsa’s company. She was affectionate and took the time to play with him. I am happy with Elsa’s services and I will rebook her in the future.

Communicative and polite! She is an animal lover and studies them in school. I was super anxious leaving my older Great Dane at home but Xinyuan met her ahead of time and my dog loved her and was happy to see me when I got home! My house was just like I left it. Big recommend
