“Leonard was awesome to work with on all levels! He took care of my dog both as an in home sitter for overnight stay and for day sitting. He was extremely easy to work with as he would flex his hours everyday according to my schedule. My dog absolutely loved him! He took her to the beach and hiking and was always with her at home. He even bought her a toy on his last day which he let her select (not surprising that the toy closely resembles a squirrel :). Leonard also has a very pleasant and approachable personality - I would highly recommend him to take care of your dog. I look forward to Leonard and my dog reuniting on another stay!”

“Carla is just wonderful! I trusted her the moment I opened the door to meet for the first time. She let me know what her plan was & sent pictures during & after of our sweet husky! Thank you so much Carla, you’re amazing!!”

About: I grew up surrounded by all kinds of pets and have owned both cats and a dog as an adult, which was a Dalmatian, describe them as eternally young. :-) I'm an active individual whose current living situation doesn't allow pets so would love to help with yours! Those of you in the Larkspur/Greenbrae area may recognize me from walks on the local paths where I’m able to greet many dogs. While on vacation, I also seek out opportunities to contribute or volunteer for various animal causes, which you’ll see in some of my pictures. I'm retired so my schedule is generally flexible unless I'm out of town for personal reasons. Choosing a more limited radius at this point enables greater schedule flexibility, and to be close to local resources should a need arise. I will pet sit in your home so that your fur baby has all of their normal comforts and routines. I realize not all owners have a fenced yard for a dog so understand the importance of daily walks. I always welcome the opportunity to meet or chat about your needs in advance, so that you may advise of any behaviors for which I'll need to be more mindful. I care for fur babies of at least one year of age. I’m allergic to cigarette smoke so that’s my only restriction. I'm a neat, tidy person who's very responsible--former homeowner.

“Leyla was a great, reliable walker for us when we were in need. There was one day where the walk wasn’t recorded with Rover, but we are able to confirm she came via our home cameras. We would definitely feel comfortable booking her for a walk again!”

About: Having been raised around dogs and cats my entire childhood, as well as raising my own pets since adulthood, I am more than excited to take care of yours! I am wide open during summertime, but work school hours during the school year. I have open availability on the weekends and after school for both overnights and walks. During the day, I would be able to take your pup out in the am, at lunch and afterschool. My friends joke that my dog is my fourth child and they are definitely correct. I believe in routines first, of course, but also letting a dog guide you as the day goes on.

About: Hello! I am super capable of dog energy. I am available for dog, cat, iguana, horse or any animal kinds. Lots of experience as a personal and house management assistant. Happy to house and pet sit in your home or just come by to provide companionship, feeding and walks. Thanks! I just moved back to Marin and looking forward to integrating my life in the area. I am currently working part time as a household family assistant. My mornings and evenings are free. I am super comfortable providing love and attention for animals of all Kinds. I have some experience with horses as well. Happy to sleep over and sleep with dogs if desired.

About: Hi, I’m Connor! What sets me apart is that I’ve been surrounded by expert-level dog care my entire life. My mom was a vet tech for over 10 years, and for the past 20, she’s been a professional dog walker, boarder, and trainer. Growing up in that environment, I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Whether it’s walking, boarding, or just giving them lots of love and attention, I genuinely enjoy caring for dogs like they’re part of the family. Pet care is my full-time job, so I’m available 7 days a week for dog walking, drop-ins, and house sitting. I have a completely open and flexible schedule, which means I can follow your pet’s routine exactly — whether that’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, evening feedings, or overnight stays. I’m reliable, responsive, and fully dedicated to keeping your pets safe, happy, and loved while you're away. When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize safety, comfort, and respect for your space. I follow your instructions closely to keep your pet’s routine consistent and reduce stress. During walks and visits, I make sure all doors and gates are securely closed and never leave your pet unattended outside. I keep open communication with you throughout my visits, providing updates and photos to give you peace of mind. Your pet’s safety and well-being, along with respect for your home, are my top priorities.

“Ella was amazing! Very prompt, professional, and made us feel comfortable that she takes great care of our dog. Even though pur dog Lacey is a bit of a puller on leash, Ella comfortably handled her in walking. Would highly recommend”

About: I love dogs (and cats)! I have walked dogs for family members, neighbors and friends for the past 15+ years. I would love to walk your dogs, play with your energetic pup and make sure they are having an amazing day! I can also stop by to feed and water them, or dog sit, and send you an update you about your dog’s or cat’s status after each visit :-). I’m currently very flexible with my schedule and can come walk your dog most days of the week, given at least a day’s notice, within a radius of 7 miles from San Rafael. I can walk dogs outside of your house or take care of dogs within your house. This includes refilling food, water, treats and playing with your dog. Happy to walk to a nearby dog park if that is available and that is something you regularly do with your dog!

“Rachel is very conscientious and you can see she really cares about the wellbeing of my dogs. She is comfortable handling my slightly reactive but otherwise docile pack. I would get her again.”

About: Hi there! My name is Bella, and I’d love to help care for your furry friends. I have six years of experience with pet and house sitting. I used to volunteer at the humane society, so I am very familiar and comfortable with animals and their needs. I've worked with dogs of all ages, sizes, and abilities (deaf, blind, etc.). I’m local to Sausalito, and am happy to help you out if you’re located in Marin. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions! I work a hybrid job, so I am in office a few days a week, but my schedule is flexible. I’m most free in the mornings, evenings, and on weekends, but can work in some afternoons as well! My husband, Michael, is also on my account as he serves as my backup, in case I ever need it. Communication is key! Please let me know if there are any special circumstances related safety for your pet. Personally, I keep cameras around my home for ease of mind, so I understand if you do the same.

About: Hi, I’m Maral (pronounced Mer-All)—a professional dog trainer with a deep passion for helping dogs become calm, confident companions. My journey began over a decade ago when I helped raise and train a Doberman puppy who grew into a happy- go-lucky 120-lb giant. That experience sparked my dedication to not just caring for dogs, but helping them thrive. Today, I bring a thoughtful, psychology-based approach to every walk, visit, and day camp session. With a background in balanced dog training, and hands on experience with 100’s of dogs, I focus on fulfillment, clarity, and structure—giving dogs what they need to regulate their excitement, build confidence, and feel grounded in their environment. Unlike traditional pet care, my services are designed to enrich your dog’s mind and manners simultaneously. I implement threshold awareness, leash work, and real-world obedience into every visit. Reactive dog? I will keep them under threshold. Powerful Pup? I have one too! I know how to stand my ground. Shy with new people? I know just how to turn down the pressure. Extra Energetic? I’ll bring my flirt pole or tug toy, and we can work thier mind while also working thier body. For interested clients, I can also introduce crate training or work on off-leash remote collar training—always with clarity and care. Whether your dog is nervous and unsure or strong-willed and overstimulated, they’re in calm, capable hands. My goal is simple: to help fulfill your dog - while improving your lives on the trail, on the sofa, or on the sidewalk. Because I am self employed, I have all the flexibility in my scheduling to be able to accommodate whatever you and your pet might need. I am comfortable administering medication to both dogs and cats, as well as caring for any other pets present in the home in the case of house visits. I will always make sure waters have been topped up before leaving your home. I send daily videos of how things are going, where we went for walks, and training.

About: I live in Mill Valley and have two dogs of my own— both are pity type mixes that were rescued. I know what it means to take good care of beloved pets. I have many years of experience, both dog sitting and housesitting. I love taking dogs for walks and hikes and spend quite a bit of time with my own dogs up on Mount Tam. I’m currently not working so I have lots of available time for dog walks, sitting and house sitting. I do not do group dog walking so your dog will get the best one on one attention. I’m happy to support special needs as well. I prefer to take care of dogs in their own home as I find this is most comfortable for them. I like to deeply understand the owners preferences and needs so that I can make sure the dogs are happy.

“Krystle has been great with my dog, who hates walks without me. My dog is happy to see her come to the door and enjoy the walks. Krystle is always on time and responsive to the needs of me and my dog. I’m so happy I found her on Rover.”

“Christopher was awesome. My magnificent, high energy, but somewhat reactive two-year-old, immediately loved him. Christopher matched my dog’s energy and athleticism, taking him on long walks that left him ready to sprawl and fall asleep afterward – – which is exactly what he needs. I think Christopher would adjust to the needs of any dog, he genuinely likes them and understands them. I feel lucky to have found him to play with my boy while I am sidelined with a broken ankle. He has my complete endorsement, great guy.”

“Kirsta was great!! My dog Otto (who can be very shy) was instantly in love with her! She sent pics on her walks and made me feel totally relaxed knowing Otto was well taken care of while I was out of town!”

Jody C.
“It seems I have always had large, strong, willful dogs who pull on leash so I’m extremely careful about who I let walk them — for everyone’s safety. Jody is one of just three people I have trusted to walk them. We grew up with dogs as full members of our family, so being with and caring for dogs — of all sizes! — is second nature for her. Jody is responsible, capable and very much a dog lover. Dogs will be safe and happy with her.”

Leyla R.

“I have know Lise for 2+ years. She has cared for my cat Amadou in my home several times, most recently while I was on a 2 week trip early in June. Amadou has trust issues, but Lise kept me up to date on how they were doing, including pictures when he deigned to appear in public.”

Maral M.
“Maral is the real deal dog-whisperer. We never like to leave our fur-baby behind and were very nervous about being out of town on an extended vacation. We have a mid-sized dog (50 lbs.) who is a bit anxious and can sometimes be skittish around other male dogs. We needed to know (practically and for peace of mind on the trip) that he was in the hands of someone who had the experience and know-how of handling dogs in a variety of settings. Maral has such a calm demeanor and instantly connected with our dog. She followed our feeding/walking schedule but also added extra doggie adventures during the week. We loved receiving the photo updates of our happy pup! We’ve had Maral dog-sit numerous times and our dog is always excited to see her again.”

Samuel was incredibly easy to communicate with and was able to help with a very last minute request to watch our dog Steve! He took very good care of him, sent lots of photos and went over and above to make sure that he got the exercise and attention that he needed! Thank you Samuel!
Sarah was absolutely the BEST!! I feel so fortunate that we found her. I was nervous to leave my dog but when I started communicating with Sarah I knew our pup would be fine. Not only was our dog fine.. she had a great day with Sarah! I would 1000% use her again!

We hired Carolina to walk our dogs when we had to go out of town for the day. I always get anxious trusting my dogs and home to a new person, but Carolina was wonderful. She was friendly, punctual, and a great communicator. She followed all my instructions, was sweet to my dogs and sent lots of pics from their walk. I came home to safe and happy dogs. I’m so glad we found her and hope to hire her again!

Allie was the best! She was able to come at such short notice - I was down with the stomach flu and she took my 4-month old high energy GSP for an hour hike within an hour of me reaching out. She was very communicative, punctual, friendly, and my GSP enjoyed a nice long hike with her. Thank you, Allie!

Mari is the best of the best. Our 3 year old cockapoo has a lot of energy and can be reactive on walks if not properly stimulated. But with Mari, we have zero worries because she is a dog whisperer. She is dependable and she genuinely loves our dog. We get great updates and sweet photos — it makes a huge difference knowing our dog is cared for and exercised when we’re at work. Thank you, Mari. You’re an absolute treasure.
