“I needed a stress free getaway. Leaving my sweet dog with a sitter was not my 1st choice. Sean took great care her! He kept me updated daily with a pic. She’s an older dog, and he seemed to have had a blast staying with him. For the price and care she got, I would recommend him every time.”

“Our dog had a wonderful time with Lisa and her family! She sent regular pics and updates, making any mom feel good about leaving their fur baby for a weekend. There are lots of dogs and people to provide any dog with a good time, and loving care. We will be using Lisa again in the future!”
“I am always so pleased with how Oliver and Ted E Bear are given such great care. I feel that this is their home away from home. I can't say enough about the wonderful care.”

About: Bringing happiness to all animals is something that is very important to me because of the love they constantly give us. With multiple years of experience, I am able to make sure your furry friends are well taken care of. Keeping your pets healthy and happy is the most important thing to me. I focus on providing all pets with someone who makes them feel safe and loved while their family is not with them. At the moment I am in between jobs after working for Clemson University for 4 years. I am currently searching for a part-time job I can pair with Rover to keep my schedule as open as possible. I’m very flexible with the care I provide. Every pet has their own routine and habits. I tend to follow any instructions given to take proper care of your pets. In my own home I have a roommate who love animals just as much as me so there will be plenty of pets! We have a dog park nearby I can utilize or a walking path if your pet is a little more introverted.
“Zoe did a great job looking after Lew while I was out of town! She kept me updated and sent lots of pictures! She even gave me a report card of Lew’s behavior during his stay. I will definitely rebook with Zoe again!”

About: I have been around dogs for as long as I can remember, and have been dog-sitting for the past 4 years! I also have some experience with cat-sitting. I have a mini goldendoodle named Cody that I trained with my sister. I go to Clemson University, and we have a golden doodle living with us at our house!! We let her out every morning and I am home by 2pm every day to hang out with her! We have a fenced in yard. My dog sleeps in bed with me, which is fine if that’s how your dog sleeps best, but I will also be happy to crate your dog at my home or your home! I am very flexible and want to make sure I follow your regular routine as best as I can!
“Ashleigh was amazing! She is the best sitter I have ever had. I will use her every time she is available! I highly recommend her because she will keep you updated with your fur baby each day with pictures and will take great care of them!!!”

“What a great experience our first time using Rover! We were nervous about leaving our dog for a week but Beth made the process easy and efficient. She kept us updated on Coco’s transition and adjustment throughout the week, which was so helpful and reassuring. From drop off to pick up, I knew my dog was cared for. Highly recommend Beth’s services!”

“Jay was an amazing sitter for almost a week for my dog. She sent videos and pictures of him throughout each day and made him feel right at home. She was even thoughtful enough to wash his harness when it rained. It was so comforting to know he was in such good hands. I highly recommend Jay and definitely hope to have her watch my sweet Leo again!”

About: I have been a pet lover since birth. Throughout my life, I had lived with dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, snakes and even a pet skunk. I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to assist and care for injured and rehabilitated raptors, spent several years as a foster mom for orphaned bats, and assisted in researching black bears. I currently live with three sweetie pie pups, a 9 and 6 year old golden retrievers, Deal and Bear and a 7 year old mixed rescue named Carly. I am available to come to your home and walk, run, feed, water, cuddle, and play with your animal(s). Your pets will love me and I will love them back. I am currently working from my home, so I have plenty of availability for whatever and whenever you need someone to help out with your home and pets. I will keep a watchful eye out for your animals and send frequent photos and updates to you while your babies are under my care.
“Absolutely loved them. This is 1st time boarding has ever been affordable for me. My baby was safe, had a yard, and some friends. They also taught me some tips and tricks to get her to walk on a leash better. Will be using again!”

“Lauren was great! Cooper was very happy to stay with her and her family. She was very friendly and made sure my dog was comfortable and stressed while we were gone. Cooper is excited to stay with her again soon!”

“Kristen is Amazing, I am really grateful I found her. Boarding Abel & Aimee with her was definitely the best. She kept me updated on my babies at all time with videos & pictures.”

About: I bring 12 years of hands-on experience with a local dog rescue, including fostering, training, and caring for dogs of many breeds, ages, sizes, and personalities. We have fostered everything from young puppies to dogs over 100 pounds, so I’m comfortable adapting to each dog’s individual needs and routine. I’m also comfortable administering medications and providing extra care when needed. My experience has taught me to pay close attention to a dog’s behavior, body language, comfort level, and individual personality. Because I work full-time from home and don’t travel for work, I’m able to provide plenty of companionship, supervision, and attention throughout the day. Most importantly, I understand that every dog is different. I take the time to learn what makes your dog comfortable, happy, and feel at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work full-time from home and don’t travel for work. Your dog will have plenty of companionship, attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I’ll follow their normal routine as closely as possible and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away How I Care for Pets Our personal dog passed away a few years ago, and while we aren’t ready to get another dog just yet, we truly miss having one around. He was spoiled and treated like another member of the family, and that is the same warmth and care I provide to every dog I look after. I offer in-home boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. Whether your dog stays with me or I care for them in their own home, I’ll follow their normal routine, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
“Wendy and her family took amazing care of our little dog. She was very organized and responded quickly to my booking request and text messages. It’s so nice to go on vacation and know that your pet is well and happy.”

About: My home is a dog-friendly, warm and inviting place where your special family member will be loved and cared for. I was a dog owner (lab rescues) for the last 12 years, but sadly my last guy recently crossed the rainbow bridge. I have a lot of love just waiting to be shared! I work from home so our time and availability is flexible! I love to take frequent walk and play breaks. And I am always up for some cuddle time! My yard is shady for dogs of all sizes. The neighborhood is pet friendly with lots of walking. I previously managed a pet sitting business within our Virginia neighborhood and can provide references.
“We loved Christina so much. She was very communicative, prompt with responses and was just so nice. Our little guy was happy and healthy when he came home. We definitely will book again and highly recommend her services.”

Stephanie was absolutely AMAZING! ❤️ I get so anxious leaving my baby, but from the moment I met her, I felt completely at ease. She was such a great communicator and sent me pictures and updates throughout the day, every day, which made such a huge difference. I was able to actually relax and enjoy my trip knowing Alphie was in such good hands. Stephanie has the sweetest personality and was an absolute joy to work with. You can tell she genuinely loves and cares for the dogs she watches, and Alphie had SO much fun with her. When I came to pick him up, he almost didn’t want to come home—which has NEVER happened before! 😂❤️ That alone tells me everything I need to know. I will absolutely be using Stephanie for all of my future dog-sitting needs. I honestly couldn’t recommend her enough. If I could give her a million stars, I would! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kimi is my first choice for someone to watch Kep. She has been fantastic for drop-in visits during a long work day, short overnights, as well as a longer stay while we went on vacation. Kep always comes home super happy. He is excited to go and "See Kimi". I know that she is an experienced dog/pet parent and I trust her judgment. She has systems in place to keep Kep safe and having fun. She also asks questions about what he is used to, and my preferences as a dog parent for his care. Always quick to communicate, and I love the updates on how he is doing. I would 100% recommend Kimi and will be asking her to watch Kep again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
