“Lauren was great! Cooper was very happy to stay with her and her family. She was very friendly and made sure my dog was comfortable and stressed while we were gone. Cooper is excited to stay with her again soon!”

About: I’ve been a pet sitter for more than 25 years. I specialize in senior care for dogs as well as young adults . My dogs are both rescues . I’m currently semi-retired and your pet is my priority. I am available holidays and weekend's. I have two small dogs, they are gentle and like other dogs. I have a fully fenced yard, and a doggie door leading to my backyard. I can crate your dog if that is what you prefer.
“We used Wendy to watch our dog Max for the second time last week. She sends pictures every day and I know from her comments that he is well taken care of. She says her girls love him and I won’t hesitate to use her and her family again!”

“Summer was great -- so reliable and responsive! We were visiting relatives for a football game at Clemson and we had our dog in tow. Summer watched our dog for the whole afternoon and was very understanding about the late evening pick up, given how long night football games can go. Summer sent photos and took great care of our guy, and he seemed really comfortable with her. Definitely would recommend her!”

“Alexandra was amazing with our little boy! She was so patient and took such good care of him while we were away. They went on lots of trips to the park and we got lots of updates. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!”

“Zoe did a great job looking after Lew while I was out of town! She kept me updated and sent lots of pictures! She even gave me a report card of Lew’s behavior during his stay. I will definitely rebook with Zoe again!”

About: I have always lived in a house filled with animals inside and out. We primarily had dogs for pets and would usually at least have 2, from puppies to seniors I’ve loved and cared for all sizes and would love to care for your fur babies as well! There is no size too big or too small, I adore all very much and know how worrying it is to leave your pet in someone else’s care, I assure you they would be loved very much while in my hands! I work from home so I have plenty of time and availability to spend and care for your fur baby while you’re away! I do have my step children every other weekend so communication will be key if your pet is not child friendly and if your schedule will work for me, but I am open to working with you as much as I can! I currently have 2 indoor dogs, both crate and (mostly) potty trained. I have a mid sized boxer and a small mix breed, they are both girls that are dog and kid friendly and as sweet as can be. I have plenty of yard space(not fenced), a quiet road to walk them on, and a runner for solo outside/potty time. I do live in a dog neighborhood with lots of distractions so your fur baby would be kept on a leash at all times when outdoors
“Ash was fantastic with my Pomeranian Ava! Planning a wedding is stressful and Ash watched Ava the weekend we got married. We weren’t worried about her at all. She sent us pics of her and Ava was a happy girl. We would highly recommend her to watch your pets! Thank you Ash!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“We loved Christina so much. She was very communicative, prompt with responses and was just so nice. Our little guy was happy and healthy when he came home. We definitely will book again and highly recommend her services.”

“Very pleased with her services. My dog was able to get daily play sessions in the yard, and she frequently sent photos and videos showing how my dog was doing. Getting those updates really set my mind at ease about how my dog was doing.”

“Brianna is a wonderful pet sitter and we will definitely use her again! Our new rescue pup is timid with new people and Bri was so patient and caring with her and made her feel secure and loved. In addition, Bri is prompt and a great communicator. Thank you!”

About: Hi everyone! My name is Molly, a recent college grad based in DC who absolutely adores dogs. Having grown up with three furry companions and a family deeply involved in fostering, I've had a lifelong passion for caring for pets. With 8 years of experience in pet sitting, I understand the importance of trust and reliability when it comes to your beloved companions. Looking forward to meeting and walking your furry friends! 🐾 #DogLover #PetSitter Currently, I'm seeking opportunities to pet sit on weekends when I'm not at work, and I'm available for dog walking in the evenings as well. If it were the right fit, I could occasionally do dog-sitting during weeks. It's crucial to remember that for dogs, this is their everyday life. Maintaining a friendly and loving attitude towards them is essential, ensuring they feel comfortable as you enter their environment. I love spending quality time with dogs and adjusting to their lifestyle. Whether that be playful, energetic, or more relaxed and snuggly!
“Many thanks to Kristen for being available on short notice after my Dad passed away. Knowing Piper would be well cared for was a comfort to me during a difficult time. Piper is always excited to see Kristen that lets me know he is loved by her.”

“Ann and Thomas were wonderful! They took such great care of our Marlee! We received texts, pictures and videos. We were able to enjoy our weekend away knowing she was in good hands!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
