“Absolutely the best. Terry and Kristal were very loving to my dogs. They sent me multiple pictures of my dogs daily while gone from then for a week. I will not use anyone else buy Terry and Kristal to watch my dogs. Highly recommended”

“We couldn’t ask for better care for our fur baby! They love Floyd like their own and Floyd loves them back! We especially appreciate all the photos and updates about how he was doing while we were gone. The best Rover experience ever!”

“Summer was great -- so reliable and responsive! We were visiting relatives for a football game at Clemson and we had our dog in tow. Summer watched our dog for the whole afternoon and was very understanding about the late evening pick up, given how long night football games can go. Summer sent photos and took great care of our guy, and he seemed really comfortable with her. Definitely would recommend her!”

“Shayne and Jonathan are incredible! So flexible, communicative, and take amazing care of our pups!! They are for sure the first people we reach out to when we need a sitter and will continue to be! Our girls love going there.”

“Highly recommend Tracy with your four-legged family members. Tracy was very communicative, quick to respond and made me feel at ease. I appreciated the daily updates with photos and will definitely book with Tracy again!”

“Lindsay took such great care of our pups while we were busy with wedding prep activities. I could tell our girls were loved, cared for, and really enjoyed their time with Lindsay and her family!”

“I felt so comfortable leaving my dog with Andrew! He was very kinda and great at communicating. I really appreciate how he took his time to get to know and understand my dog. This is the first time I’ve ever left her with someone else and he made it very smooth. I will gladly trust him with my dog and will be booking again in the future!”

“Pepper took such great care of Murphy! It was obvious from the updates and photos that Murphy was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. Pepper was reliable, communicative, and treated Murphy like family. I had complete peace of mind while I was away. I would absolutely book with Pepper again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

“Matthew and Heidi were amazing and took great care of our pup. Very responsive, and incredibly kind when our pick-up time had to be adjusted. Would absolutely book with them again!”

About: Our names are Nina Phillips and Erin Carns, we live together in Clemson and both attend as third years! As two college students, we both are missing the company of and caring for our furry friends back home. Nina has experience with dogs of all sizes, but has cared for large dogs like Cane Corsos up to 160 pounds. Erin has volunteered in shelters since she was young, and has lots of experience caring for small dogs like yorkies! We can’t wait to meet your furbabies and care for them like they’re our own! While we are both full time students, our schedules do not have much overlap, meaning Erin is generally home in the morning, and Nina is usually home in the afternoon and night. This applies to both pet sitting and availability to walk or let out animals in your home! In our experience caring for animals, we have found that the best way to facilitate a calm, safe environment and avoid stressing the animal is to do our absolute best to care for the animal exactly as the owner would. To do this, we love hearing as many details as possible- all your animals silly little quirks, your routine caring for the animal, and any other things that could help make the transition easy for them!
“We could not have been happier with the service provided by Ash in caring for our two Yorkies for a couple nights. She gave us feedback and we could tell when we picked them up that they liked it at her house just fine. Well done Ash?”

“Our pup stayed for 8 days while we were on vacation. He was happy and healthy when we returned and had been socializing and playing. He liked Lauren a lot more than other formal boarding places he has stayed.”

“Rebecca took excellent care of Thumper and Binks while we were away, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. 🐾❤️ Rebecca was caring, attentive, responsible, and treated our babies like they were her own. She followed all of our instructions, kept us updated, and made sure Thumper and Binks were comfortable, happy, and well cared for. It can be stressful leaving your fur babies with someone else new for the first time, but she made the entire experience so easy for us. We could truly enjoy our time away knowing they were being loved and cared for. We highly recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dependable, and loving pet sitter. We will definitely use her again! 🐶🐶💕 Thank you so much for taking such great care of our babies!”

“Sarah kept my older chihuahua, Lola, who has become anxious at the kennel. I knew Lola was in good hands when Sarah said she could sleep in her bed at night. She sent pictures and updates everyday. Excellent experience. I highly recommend Sarah and Linus.”

“She is the best! We definitely recommend her to anyone that is looking for a person that really going to treat your pups like her own. I loved the constant communication, she was always sending me videos and pictures of my babies. I will definitely be booking her for Boarding from now on.”

About: I bring 12 years of hands-on experience with a local dog rescue, including fostering, training, and caring for dogs of many breeds, ages, sizes, and personalities. We have fostered everything from young puppies to dogs over 100 pounds, so I’m comfortable adapting to each dog’s individual needs and routine. I’m also comfortable administering medications and providing extra care when needed. My experience has taught me to pay close attention to a dog’s behavior, body language, comfort level, and individual personality. Because I work full-time from home and don’t travel for work, I’m able to provide plenty of companionship, supervision, and attention throughout the day. Most importantly, I understand that every dog is different. I take the time to learn what makes your dog comfortable, happy, and feel at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work full-time from home and don’t travel for work. Your dog will have plenty of companionship, attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I’ll follow their normal routine as closely as possible and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away How I Care for Pets Our personal dog passed away a few years ago, and while we aren’t ready to get another dog just yet, we truly miss having one around. He was spoiled and treated like another member of the family, and that is the same warmth and care I provide to every dog I look after. I offer in-home boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. Whether your dog stays with me or I care for them in their own home, I’ll follow their normal routine, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

Stephanie was absolutely AMAZING! ❤️ I get so anxious leaving my baby, but from the moment I met her, I felt completely at ease. She was such a great communicator and sent me pictures and updates throughout the day, every day, which made such a huge difference. I was able to actually relax and enjoy my trip knowing Alphie was in such good hands. Stephanie has the sweetest personality and was an absolute joy to work with. You can tell she genuinely loves and cares for the dogs she watches, and Alphie had SO much fun with her. When I came to pick him up, he almost didn’t want to come home—which has NEVER happened before! 😂❤️ That alone tells me everything I need to know. I will absolutely be using Stephanie for all of my future dog-sitting needs. I honestly couldn’t recommend her enough. If I could give her a million stars, I would! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
