“Reagan was so great with Ace and I am so thankful she was able to check on him so last minute! Sent lots of pictures and made sure he was well taken care of while we were away!!”

“Very lovely person and could not have been a bigger help than she was! I needed a sitter last minute and I'm very thankful that Alyssa was available during that time. My cat, Ami, was well taken care of and happy.”

“Alaina was amazing with my cat, Bitty! She was quick to respond and very thorough in making sure she understood all of Bitty’s needs. She sent great pictures and kept me updated on her visits, which gave me so much peace of mind. 10/10 would absolutely recommend her!”

“Kenna did an outstanding job taking care of my dog Ellie! Because of Ellie's past, she is extremely fearful of people, and this makes caring for her quite challenging. Kenna understood her special needs and did everything exactly as I asked. She promptly communicated any questions/issues and sent detailed reports with photos for every visit. Kenna is reliable, trustworthy, conscientious, loving, and patient, and she went above and beyond my expectations. I didn't have to worry at all, I knew Ellie was well taken care of. I highly recommend Kenna and plan on using her services in the future as well.”

About: I've always grown up around cats and dogs, but when I moved to Minnesota I don't get to be around pets as often, so I look forward to the opportunity of meeting you and your dog. I am very active and enjoy jogging as well. I work full time as a Real Estate Agent but try to keep my schedule flexible. My aunt is a vet so I would often go into her clinic and visit the animals there, I would also take my family member's dogs for walks all the time. Animals bring joy to my life and I know that having a dog in the city can be difficult, that's why I am here to help as much as I can to take your dog for a walk! I work from home so I can make just about anytime work before 6pm that is! Let me work around your s ch exile to make sure your pet gets the care it needs! Every pet is different, and I feel that matching their energy is very important. First I get their trust and show that I am a safe and kind person before the fun begins!
About: I've run a dog rescue that placed 1000+ dogs in new homes in 3 years, worked as a live-in animal care taker at a dog and cat boarding facility, and trained several service dogs for a national service dog organization. I've had dogs and cats of my own for over 20 years, and am often the person's friends and family call when they have a dog/cat question instead of google. I've seen and done it all, which means I know how to manage a wide variety of dogs and cats (and more) with all their personalities and quirks. I work full time, but with pretty flexible hours with enough heads-up. I have dogs and cats of my own, so I already have an easy routine of caring for them and it's quite easy to add another. I move my work schedule around to maximize the best times for hikes/outside time for the dogs depending on the weather. I try to take at least one of my dogs for hikes at the Clemson Experimental Forest 2-3x a week. I have a fenced yard with a small (fully enclosed and secure) chicken run. Any visiting dogs would have supervised time to play in the yard or the fenced back deck several times a day. I have 3 friendly dogs who would love to play or just hang out, or can be kept fully separate from any visitor if the visitor needs their space. They are used to mixing or staying separate from any visiting dogs/cats. I also have two cats who are dog friendly, or remain completely upstairs to themselves if any visitors aren't cat friendly. Visiting pets are setup in my home office with a crate of their own (if needed), plenty of windows, and room to play or bed to nap on.
“Hallie was amazing and so accommodating! I realized last minute I had scheduled for the wrong dates and she was able to take it on no problem. very quick responses and my cats were well taken care of!”

“We could not be any happier with Zoe! She is very attentive and loving to our Kirby! He absolutely loves his daily visits with her! Our family highly recommends Zoe for all your pet sitting needs. She will go above and beyond for your fur babies just like she does for Kirby!”

“Emily was so helpful and attentive to Gunters needs! I loved getting updates daily, she took the sweetest pictures of my kitty. Towards the end of my trip, Gunter unfortunately contracted a uti. Thanks to Emily texting me and keeping me updated, I was able to book a vet appointment for as soon as I could so that he could get treated. I could not recommend her more!”

“It was my first time to hire Jessi and I was happy to have entrusted my kitties to her. She came on time, followed my instructions and replied quickly. My kitties warmed up to her, she sent me updates and photos. Will definitely keep her for the future.”

“Shannon was amazing with our cats while we were away! She is an excellent communicator, knowledgeable, kind, and always sent lots of great pictures that put our minds at ease. Highly recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have a Bachelor's degree in Zoology, and Associates degree in Science and have cared for other peoples pets since I was 17 (August, 3 2026 I'll be 22) besides caring for my parents dogs and cats. I have expireance with special care needs like diabetic pets who need to be given insulin shots, elderly dogs with oral pills they would rather not take, and bouncing puppies who need to let out alot of energy. I also have owned many animals since I was little with minimal parental help. These animals include dogs, cats, snakes, mice, rats, fish, birds, spiders, and frogs. I have experience in highschool vet care and college lab and field experience in herpetology, ornithology, and ictheology. Your fur babies will love spending their time with me when you can't be there. I just graduated college and would love to make money doing somthing I'm good at; careing for animals. Since I just graduated and don't have another job currently I'm free at most times and would love to be of service to you. I will give my undivided attention to make sure your animal is happy and well cared for. I can take your dog to the dog park, and if you want I can bring my dog over for them to play. Dog/cat's needs and feed schedules can be precise. When I was caring for my aunts Diabetic cat I had to feed half of a 1/4 cup give him his insulin shot then feed the other half, this had to happen at 6am and 6pm exactly. The shot had to go into his opposite hip every time (left morning, right afternoon). I hope to offer your pet similarly the best care imaginable.
About: I have personally owned and cared for neighbors' dogs and other pets since I was 10. I have extensive care experience with puppy and adult small and large dogs, including bathing, walking, feeding, and general pet-sitting duties. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have also taken care of neighbors' and friends' pets. I give individualized care for each pet and parent's needs and appreciate that every dog is different. No request is too extreme! I am a graduate student at Clemson, so my schedule is flexible in the mornings and the afternoons after 3 PM, as well as on weekends. I can also accommodate mid-day potty breaks and walks! When it comes to your home and pets, my top priority is safety. I always use a leash when walking dogs and encourage them to remain close to me (their walking buddy!). For in-home pet sitting, I prefer to stick to your pets' usual routine so that your furry friend stays happy, even when you're out of town. I will also respect all of your personal property and will follow instructions to a T.
“Courtney is always OUTSTANDING and flexible. I had some last minute changes due to family sickness and she was quick to adjust. I always have a peace of mind after booking with Courtney!!!”

Jessi was awesome. So friendly and quick to respond. Very thorough with her daily reports, and was so kind with dealing with our two ornery dogs! They warmed up to her quickly (for them!) and were very well taken care of by Jessi while we were out of town. We would love to have her back again in the future to take care of our animals while we are out of town!

Jeremy was so amazing with my three dogs! He was timely, professional and took so many pictures for me to enjoy. I am so grateful to have found someone who cares about my pups the way that I do! Would absolutely recommend Jeremy to anyone looking for the best care for their fluffy family members!
Elena was wonderful and took good care of my two boys. I got routine check-ins from her each time she came by and spent good quality time with them. She saved my skin before I was due to be on holiday for 2 weeks in Europe. I would definitely recommend her and would gladly book her again to stay with my dogs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
