“Reagan was so great with Ace and I am so thankful she was able to check on him so last minute! Sent lots of pictures and made sure he was well taken care of while we were away!!”

“Kathleen was amazing with my dogs. Especially when I had to add a few extra days without must notice. She made sure that my dogs went to the restroom, had water and played with them the entire time. Can’t wait to rebook with Kathleen!!”

“At the very last minute I asked and Heidi responded with a "yes" to check on my dog while I attended a funeral. I was so grateful. She sent me photos and let me know how things were going. I would love to have her check on Layla again. I highly recommend her!”

“Very lovely person and could not have been a bigger help than she was! I needed a sitter last minute and I'm very thankful that Alyssa was available during that time. My cat, Ami, was well taken care of and happy.”

About: Hi! My name is Lillie Sabo, and I’m currently a student at Clemson University! I’m excited to offer pet-sitting services to families looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to look after their pets while they’re away. I absolutely love spending time with animals and know how important it is to find someone who will treat your pets like their own. I have two dogs of my own and it is very important to me to give others pets the care and love I want mine to receive while I am gone! My goal is to make sure your furry friends feel happy, comfortable, and loved every time they’re in my care! I am currently a student at Clemson University that is home for the summer! My schedule over the summer is pretty open besides vacations but other than that I can be available for all your needs! In my home our pets have a fenced in yard, water to access at all times of the day, they are fed at specific times of the day, and treats are their favorite so they get a few throughout the day! Your pets will receive the same love and care that my dogs at home receive for sure!
About: I’ve had dogs of all sizes and cats all my life! I’ve raised puppies, dogs with behavioral problems, I’ve even done training. I always loved dog sitting my neighbors dogs and going on walks and taking a pup along with me! I am currently a college student (go Clemson!) so before and after my classes I have all the free time to come care for your pet! I love walks, and I even have a dog park in my neighborhood! I know how to use harnesses on dogs (and cats haha!) and took training classes for knowing how to train and correctly walk and deal with dogs and puppies!
About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals and have experience caring for dogs, cats, fish, turtles, tortoises, and hamsters. I’ve also worked in a veterinary hospital, where I gained hands-on experience caring for pets and learned the importance of patience, responsibility, and individualized care. I’m very organized and detail-oriented, so I’m careful to follow each pet’s routine, feeding schedule, medications, and specific instructions. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pets are in good hands, and I’ll treat every animal with the same care and attention I would give my own. 🐾❤️ I’m a Clemson undergraduate student with a flexible schedule that allows me to fit pet care into my daily routine. I’m organized and responsible with my time, and I plan my classes and other commitments around my pet-sitting availability. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight care, and I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits your pet’s needs! I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I carefully follow each pet’s routine and any instructions provided, including feeding, medications, walks, and special needs. I’m very organized and detail-oriented, so I make sure everything is done safely and consistently. I also keep a clean and secure environment, pay close attention to pets while they’re in my care, and communicate with owners throughout the visit so they can feel confident their pets are happy and safe.
About: Over the past three years I have worked at two boarding/training/daycare facilities for dogs. My love of animals is why I’m getting my undergraduate degree at Clemson University for Animal Veterinary Science, pre - vet. I love caring for animals and making sure all their needs are met. I am currently a student at Clemson University, I have classes on Monday-Friday. Monday and Tuesday I have one class so those days are very free, Wednesday-Friday I have two classes so I’m not as available for long stays, but walks/drop ins I’m still very free! Saturdays and Sundays I’m free all day! At my home we have two labs, one is 15 years old so she requires special care such as wearing a diaper when not on a walk. I am very flexible with what I can provide when requested from the pet parent. I also currently have a Doberman puppy so I am very comfortable with taking care of puppy needs or just energetic dogs in general.
“Marissa did an amazing job! She showed up exactly when she said she would, spent quality time with the pups, and sent plenty of updates and pics of her visit with them. Would definitely recommend!”

About: Hello Everyone! I have been pet sitting since I was 15 years old but have been going and helping my grandma with her pet sitting business since I was able to understand pet care! I have taken care of and/or raised many animals such as Cows, Pigs, Horses, Llamas, Reptiles, Cats, Dogs, and more! I truly love what I do and take pride in my work, treating each pet as they are my own. I currently don’t offer boarding but i’m open to house visits, walks, feedings, and much more! I am solely doing pet sitting as of right now so I have an open schedule! Since I only offer in home services I will gladly accommodate to any needs and or wants for your pet to ensure the best care and safety of your pet(s).
About: Before I moved to College of Charleston I pet sat around my neighborhood for around 2 years. I also have 4 dogs at home including a foster dog currently and would love to meet y'all's furry friends because I don’t have an animal in my dorm currently! I can walk your doggies pretty much any time except for Wednesday's and Sunday's! typically on weekdays it’s after 12pm, and on Saturdays it’s all day! I take care of my animals with love. sticking to their schedule while involving the upmost playfulness and kindness. I will clean up after them, and like i would with my own dogs and cats put their safety and health first. If there was ever something to happen, immediately calling their owner and sticking by their 4 legged side!

About: I am the owner of a 6 year old Belgian Malinois and an almost 11 year old minature Daushund. Being the owner of a Belgian, I have been opened to a whole new world of dogs. I love to take them for walks, teach them, and find a confidence with dogs. I love cats as well. Senior pets are the best. They need gentle care at times, a bit more patience and a little more time from point A to point B. I am new to being a dog walker/ cat care giver, but my love of animals will shine through. I have taken care of my sisters cats, dogs, bunnies for over 20 years. Just getting started publically, but I will love you pet as if you are still at home! I do not have a fixed work schedule at this time to limit visitations. I am available for most times during the morning or afternoon. I will be glad to clean the litter box as needed and accidents made by the doggos, provide food and fresh water and other reasonable requests pertaining to your cats and dogs. And of course take your fur friends out for walks when needed. At this time, owning a Belgian Malinois, I do not offer home services to be provided in my home.
About: For as long as I can remember, I have always had a dog in my life. I am always willing to make time for a four-legged companion, and because I'm athletic/energetic, I enjoy walking and playing with your dog. I have 20 years of sitting experience, five on Rover, and I've worked in professional pet boarding and training at a boutique kennel (Cuddly Critters in Greenville). I am a schedule oriented person who can easily adapt to other people's/animal's schedules. Pets always make the best companions, and I want to get to know as many as possible. I have had several fulltime jobs throughout my life, but I doubt any will be as fun as watching your dog. Recently, my career has revolved around higher education, so anything that can make a dent in my student loans is a plus! Happy to hear any questions/special requests you might have. Please feel free to contact me for anything. I'm currently working part time, but it is all remote work done via laptop. So all I need is wifi and I'm good to go. I can commit most of the 24+hrs directly to your dog. I always create a fun and safe environment whenever I'm around "our better halves" (lol). I know how to calm down anxious dogs, but also keep up with any sheep dogs you might have lol.
“Erine did a great job assuring me with timeliness, clear communication, plenty of photos and videos. Laura was absolutely wonderful with Zuko and Maddux! She took the best care of them and made me feel completely comfortable knowing they were in such good hands. She was attentive, caring, and handled each of their different personalities and needs perfectly. I came home to two happy, well-cared-for pups! We are so grateful for her and will absolutely use Laura again. Highly recommend her!

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
