“Reagan was so great with Ace and I am so thankful she was able to check on him so last minute! Sent lots of pictures and made sure he was well taken care of while we were away!!”

“Alaina was amazing with my cat, Bitty! She was quick to respond and very thorough in making sure she understood all of Bitty’s needs. She sent great pictures and kept me updated on her visits, which gave me so much peace of mind. 10/10 would absolutely recommend her!”

About: I have a Bachelor's degree in Zoology, and Associates degree in Science and have cared for other peoples pets since I was 17 (August, 3 2026 I'll be 22) besides caring for my parents dogs and cats. I have expireance with special care needs like diabetic pets who need to be given insulin shots, elderly dogs with oral pills they would rather not take, and bouncing puppies who need to let out alot of energy. I also have owned many animals since I was little with minimal parental help. These animals include dogs, cats, snakes, mice, rats, fish, birds, spiders, and frogs. I have experience in highschool vet care and college lab and field experience in herpetology, ornithology, and ictheology. Your fur babies will love spending their time with me when you can't be there. I just graduated college and would love to make money doing somthing I'm good at; careing for animals. Since I just graduated and don't have another job currently I'm free at most times and would love to be of service to you. I will give my undivided attention to make sure your animal is happy and well cared for. I can take your dog to the dog park, and if you want I can bring my dog over for them to play. Dog/cat's needs and feed schedules can be precise. When I was caring for my aunts Diabetic cat I had to feed half of a 1/4 cup give him his insulin shot then feed the other half, this had to happen at 6am and 6pm exactly. The shot had to go into his opposite hip every time (left morning, right afternoon). I hope to offer your pet similarly the best care imaginable.
“Very lovely person and could not have been a bigger help than she was! I needed a sitter last minute and I'm very thankful that Alyssa was available during that time. My cat, Ami, was well taken care of and happy.”

“She was amazing with my cat while I was away! I got photo updates and could tell Ben felt comfortable and cared for. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. Definitely recommend and will be booking again!”

About: I've run a dog rescue that placed 1000+ dogs in new homes in 3 years, worked as a live-in animal care taker at a dog and cat boarding facility, and trained several service dogs for a national service dog organization. I've had dogs and cats of my own for over 20 years, and am often the person's friends and family call when they have a dog/cat question instead of google. I've seen and done it all, which means I know how to manage a wide variety of dogs and cats (and more) with all their personalities and quirks. I work full time, but with pretty flexible hours with enough heads-up. I have dogs and cats of my own, so I already have an easy routine of caring for them and it's quite easy to add another. I move my work schedule around to maximize the best times for hikes/outside time for the dogs depending on the weather. I try to take at least one of my dogs for hikes at the Clemson Experimental Forest 2-3x a week. I have a fenced yard with a small (fully enclosed and secure) chicken run. Any visiting dogs would have supervised time to play in the yard or the fenced back deck several times a day. I have 3 friendly dogs who would love to play or just hang out, or can be kept fully separate from any visitor if the visitor needs their space. They are used to mixing or staying separate from any visiting dogs/cats. I also have two cats who are dog friendly, or remain completely upstairs to themselves if any visitors aren't cat friendly. Visiting pets are setup in my home office with a crate of their own (if needed), plenty of windows, and room to play or bed to nap on.

“It was such a pleasure meeting Stacie, and getting to know her a little, along with hearing about her own love of animals! I so appreciated the photos she sent since my two cats are new to each other and she was totally thorough in caring for them!”

“At the very last minute I asked and Heidi responded with a "yes" to check on my dog while I attended a funeral. I was so grateful. She sent me photos and let me know how things were going. I would love to have her check on Layla again. I highly recommend her!”

“Lena went the extra mile to make sure my cat was fed and taken care of during the recent hurricane power outages. She deserves special recognition for her efforts and ability to overcome obstacles.”

“She’s so amazing with my doggies!! This is my second time asking her to watch my dogs while I was gone and my dogs love her!!! She texted me with full story what they did every day, she stayed at my house little longer than I asked to make sure my dogs get full attention & love! They are so comfortable and happy to spend time with her, I wouldn’t asked anyone to watch my dogs but Tatum! 🥰”
“Hallie was amazing and so accommodating! I realized last minute I had scheduled for the wrong dates and she was able to take it on no problem. very quick responses and my cats were well taken care of!”

About: Before I moved to College of Charleston I pet sat around my neighborhood for around 2 years. I also have 4 dogs at home including a foster dog currently and would love to meet y'all's furry friends because I don’t have an animal in my dorm currently! I can walk your doggies pretty much any time except for Wednesday's and Sunday's! typically on weekdays it’s after 12pm, and on Saturdays it’s all day! I take care of my animals with love. sticking to their schedule while involving the upmost playfulness and kindness. I will clean up after them, and like i would with my own dogs and cats put their safety and health first. If there was ever something to happen, immediately calling their owner and sticking by their 4 legged side!
“Amanda did a fantastic job with our furbabies. Having a 14 year old baby is a challenge at times but she treated him with special care and we appreciate her kindness. We will definitely use again”

“Bottom line: Kenna is fantastic and I highly recommend her. She very responsive and accommodating throughout the entire process and it was easy to quickly ascertain in our first meeting that she was mature, responsible, and professional. She was especially helpful to me as I needed her to drop in twice in the same day to let my pups out and feed them. She was on-time for both visits and sent photos while she was here. Oh, and they loved her as well. I absolutely will not hesitate to entrust my pups to Kenna in the future.”
About: I've been around pets my entire life, I have four German Shepards and a Maltese at home so I've grown up with plenty around me. I've taken care of many of my neighbors and families pets for the past few years. I love taking dogs on walks, to the pool/lake, and in general love taking them everywhere with me to make them feel at home and get use to being around others and new environments! While being at school I have taken part in a club that goes to dog shelters to take them out and help them find a forever home. Besides taking care of dogs I do love cats just as equally! I have taken care of cats for about two years now! Im currently a Senior at Clemson University studying Accounting and Finance. I have a pretty light schedule throughout the week and am more than happy to work with you! If I am pet sitting I will usually go to the house about 4-5 times a day just to keep checking in and making sure everything is okay and to take it out and play as well to make sure he or she isn't feeling alone. I do also love taking the dogs out on walks or even just to do errands with me if allowed to do so!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Clemson
Emily was so helpful and attentive to Gunters needs! I loved getting updates daily, she took the sweetest pictures of my kitty. Towards the end of my trip, Gunter unfortunately contracted a uti. Thanks to Emily texting me and keeping me updated, I was able to book a vet appointment for as soon as I could so that he could get treated. I could not recommend her more!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clemson. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
