“Hallie dropped in to check on Layla while I was away for a long afternoon. She sent pics of Layla and encouraged her to go outside for a little break.....however, in the 97* heat Layla didn't want to go.:-). Hallie was given some directions on how to access the house and she found everything easily. She has a kind personality and I will definitely use her the next time I need pet help.”

“Jayda did a wonderful job following the instructions given and getting our baby to warm up to her! Xion is a little skittish at first with strangers in the home but Jayda's calm and gentle nature helped a lot :) She did a great job!”

“Reagan did a fantastic job providing in-home care for my dog and cat while I was away for the week. She made sure they were fed and took my dog for a walk each time she visited. She played with them as well. I would definitely ask Reagan to care for my pets again.”

“Alyssa took such a great care of our cat. She always took pictures and was sending videos! Quick responding and easy to get in touch with. She always left a not with everything that she did. Definitely would’ve picked her again!”

“Leigh went above and beyond on managing our in-home kennel. She was everything we needed in a pet sitter and more. Responsive, gracious, generous, and kind— highly recommend.”

“Alaina was amazing with my cat, Bitty! She was quick to respond and very thorough in making sure she understood all of Bitty’s needs. She sent great pictures and kept me updated on her visits, which gave me so much peace of mind. 10/10 would absolutely recommend her!”

“Amethyst was great with Jewels, and Jewels seems to like her. She isn't use to being alone. The videos and pictures helps alot!! I will definitely book with Amethyst again. 😊 thanks so much! Happy customer....”

“Samantha and Max did an excellent job with our pups. We have two rescue dogs, one of which is afraid of new people. Because of this, we were concerned about leaving him for the first time with someone new. Samantha and Max assured us that they would be able to handle him and they were amazing with him. They were even able to get a leash on him to take him outside, despite his usual timid behavior. They followed our detailed instructions perfectly and were very patient and kind with our dogs. After the visit they sent several pictures so that we had peace of mind that the pups were okay. We will absolutely use them again.”

“Lauren went above and beyond yet again. We have a rough old girl that has issues with humans. However, Lauren came in, took her time, and our girl loves her. She took care of our home when accidents happened and she was always communicative about what was going on with our babies and our house. I can't say enough about the great job she has done for us.”
“Jessi did a great job dropping in on our dog Maggie! We loved the thorough description of her visit and the many pictures that Jessi left on her drop in card. It was great knowing that Maggie was being cared for so well while we were away. If you need someone to take care of your pet, definitely consider Jessi!”

About: I have a Bachelor's degree in Zoology, and Associates degree in Science and have cared for other peoples pets since I was 17 (August, 3 2026 I'll be 22) besides caring for my parents dogs and cats. I have expireance with special care needs like diabetic pets who need to be given insulin shots, elderly dogs with oral pills they would rather not take, and bouncing puppies who need to let out alot of energy. I also have owned many animals since I was little with minimal parental help. These animals include dogs, cats, snakes, mice, rats, fish, birds, spiders, and frogs. I have experience in highschool vet care and college lab and field experience in herpetology, ornithology, and ictheology. Your fur babies will love spending their time with me when you can't be there. I just graduated college and would love to make money doing somthing I'm good at; careing for animals. Since I just graduated and don't have another job currently I'm free at most times and would love to be of service to you. I will give my undivided attention to make sure your animal is happy and well cared for. I can take your dog to the dog park, and if you want I can bring my dog over for them to play. Dog/cat's needs and feed schedules can be precise. When I was caring for my aunts Diabetic cat I had to feed half of a 1/4 cup give him his insulin shot then feed the other half, this had to happen at 6am and 6pm exactly. The shot had to go into his opposite hip every time (left morning, right afternoon). I hope to offer your pet similarly the best care imaginable.
About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been lucky to be around many different pets throughout my life. I also volunteered at an animal shelter, which taught me so much about caring for pets with all kinds of temperaments. I’m patient, gentle, and always excited to spend time with any furry friend. I currently work full-time, but I’m available to check on pets before work, during my lunch break, and again after work. On weekends, I’m sometimes traveling and sometimes local, so availability can vary—but I’m always excited to help whenever I can! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I try to keep everything as normal and comforting as possible. I follow their usual routine, make sure their needs are met, and give them plenty of attention so they feel safe and supported while their family is gone
About: With years of experience caring for pets, I’ve developed a deep understanding and love for animals. I currently have a dog and a cat of my own. My dog, adopted at 2 months old, is now 1 year old and I’ve trained her through all of puppyhood, and my cat is 4 years old, who I’ve cared for since she was 3 months old. Friends, family, and neighbors trust me to care for their pets while they’re away, and I walk and care for a dog for an elderly lady in my town multiple times a week. I also have experience with training dogs and providing attentive care for elderly pets, ensuring each one receives the special attention they need. My dedication and hands-on experience set me apart as a compassionate and reliable pet sitter. I currently work part-time and remotely with a very flexible work schedule. I am available almost every day to care for pets, and am very flexible with my hours. In my home or yours, your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pendleton. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
