“Robin was fantastic! Her attention to detail and her communication is top notch. She did a fabulous job looking after our two Australian shepherds during a drop in visit. She played frisbee with them until their hearts were content and she even made sure to refill their water bowl while she was here. Thank you Robin!”

“I would give more stars if I could! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cathy! This was my first time using Rover, and the experience was great. Cathy communicated each visit in great detail and sent lots of photos which was greatly appreciated. With Cathy, I didn't worry at all my whole trip about the care and attention my fur babies received. I would (and will) rebook her again in a heartbeat! ?”

“Kenna is absolutely amazing. Always on time and goes far beyond the call of duty and exceeded my already high expectations for her and Rover. I will certainly be using her again and again for ALL my needs with my best buddy, Hunley!”

“Kaitlin did an amazing job taking care of my boys while I was on vacation! Followed instructions well, didn’t hesitate to ask questions and made sure my boys were well cared for and comfortable while I was away. Can’t recommend her enough! She was also available when my other sitters were not. Definitely going to be booking her again!”

“Shirley is an amazing sitter! One of the more thoughtful ones we’ve had based on the questions she asked. My dog did incredibly well under her care and we will certainly book with her again!”

“Nicole was wonderful! She responded at the last minute (great communication) and took great care of our boy Teddy! We will definitely use her again when we are back at Clemson! Thank you so much!”

About: I have a 16 year old Maine coon named Marv. He has hypothyroidism and chronic kidney disease so I know what it takes to give your little buddy what they need! I had to give him daily medication and am comfortable doing the same for your pets. I have had dogs and cats in my household for almost my entire life. Your pets will love me. I've even convinced a pet turkey to love me! I am a full time student at Tri-County and am also taking classing during the Summer. I typically have full availability with the exception of my classes. My class schedule during the Summer semester (5/12 - 7/24): Mon/Wed (10a-1:30p), Tues/Thurs (10a-6:30p), & Fri (10a-11:45a). I love to play with cats and dogs to keep them active. Walking dogs is a fantastic excuse for me to get some exercise and to hang out with a furry friend!
“Hallie dropped in to check on Layla while I was away for a long afternoon. She sent pics of Layla and encouraged her to go outside for a little break.....however, in the 97* heat Layla didn't want to go.:-). Hallie was given some directions on how to access the house and she found everything easily. She has a kind personality and I will definitely use her the next time I need pet help.”

“Hannah was awesome with our cat Gracie. I would highly recommend her and would not hesitate to book her services again. It was nice to be on vacation and know that Gracie was being cared for. Thanks Hannah!”

“Whitley was awesome! Her level of communication, positive approach to my pet, and level of care was what I was hoping for and needed as I just recently moved to the area and was very apprehensive about leaving Chance alone so soon after adopting him. She was great from the first time she responded until her last message! Will definitely reach out to her again as a first option for my little guy!”

“Lauren has been an absolute blessing to me and my golden retriever Cassidy. Lauren stepped in on short notice when one of my regular walkers had a schedule change so I needed someone quickly. Lauren had sat for one of my walkers and came highly recommended and she has met and exceeded all expectations with my doggie. Cassidy is 3 and has always been a thinker and takes time to do anything new especially with people who are not her daddy! Obviously I know my dog and Lauren wanted to know as much as I was willing to share about Cassidy to make her experience as fun as she could. She truly wanted to know all about her and when her first day came it showed in her getting Cassidy out on day one and taking a walk! By day two she had Cassidy sitting so pretty and rewarding her for making it around the whole neighborhood! I’ve had at least 5 other walkers who simply would say day after day she just doesn’t like to walk. She loves her walks, it just takes a person willing to gain her trust gradually and once you do you have a friend for life and Lauren has made one and I’m very grateful to her for the dedication she puts into being a dog Walker. I know she spreads the joy of animals around in between a demanding graduate program and the hard work that she puts into both is impressive, Lauren is a professional in all she does and I’m very grateful and lucky to have her come look after my dog Cassidy, thank you Lauren we truly appreciate you!”

“Graham has done stop-in visits for our sometimes ill-tempered Havanese this summer and she does a wonderful job. He is old and often cranky and she took on the challenge to bond with him. Lots of effort there. She is very flexible and reliable. Great communicator. Really love and appreciate having her.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover since I’d first discovered them as a young child, it never mattered the type or size, I’ve always been drawn to them. I grew up in the PNW where I spent many years in 4-H, showing horses and participating in our local county fair. Last year we took the leap and moved to South Carolina with our 2 senior dogs, 4 cats, and bearded dragon, and have been loving how beautiful it is. Since our move, we have acquired 3 more cats that were picked up as strays, bringing our total to a whopping 7 cats! I truly wouldn’t have it any other way. I have experience with all sizes, breeds, and energy levels of dogs, as well as behavioral issues. One of senior dogs struggles with reactivity while on leash, and I make it a point to make sure he is always comfortable and safe while out. I also specialize in pets with special needs who may require a little extra attention and care. One of the kittens we took in is completely blind, amongst other things, and had required daily medication at times. She also suffers from behavioral issues which is why I’m so adamant on being patient with animals. They are learning every day, just as we are. If given the opportunity, I promise to treat your animals as I do my own, with love and grace. I’ve been blessed enough to have a very open schedule and can pretty much fit any time a pet may need into my day. Whether it be weekdays or weekends, I’m flexible and have reliable transportation. The safety and comfort of your pets are my top priority and I plan to treat them the way I treat my own. I’m very mindful of securing doors and fences to insure your babies are safe and secure where they are supposed to be. I speak to all animals the way I would speak to a friend because I believe, while they may not be able to understand all the words, they can understand tone and intention.
“We are first-time users of Rover, and with confidence, we will definitely be return customers. Abby looked after our boy for a week, and gave him the same loving attention that he would otherwise get if we were here! No matter the question or ask, she was very responsive and friendly. Thank you, Abby!”

“Nothing but great things to say about Kortney! This was the first time we’ve left our pups with a sitter for an extended period of time, and although they were hesitant at first, Kortney did great with them. That said, we had requested her on such short notice and she still made it work! The communication & care was excellent. Would recommend!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
